Slaughterer's Ode To The Blade

And so a month then passed by.

The three of them had another mission in the last month.

But it was just eliminating a spy.

And this spy was just a normal person but managed to get into the archives within the castle while pretending to be a gardner.

He was carrying a magical device that helps him hide his presence!

It was just like the cloaks they were given when they started in the department!

The man ran away when he got a couple of scrolls from the archives. Good thing there was a guard that passed by and saw his suspicious behavior which he reported after failing to catch which was how they knew about him! The man had prepared quite a few tricks in his exits and managed to get the gaurd off his trail!

Then he managed to snatch a horse and ran away into the forest.

That was the only thing that was cumbersome for the three of them, looking for him in the forest!

Good thing they were quite familiar with it and also it was still day time!

This heist didn't really bother the kingdom that much. With no large wars ongoing, the only thing that most kingdoms could do was spy on each other and eliminate a person from their enemy.

And no one! No One! Ever dared to start a large scale war! Disputes were unavoidable but no! no war!

The whole world right now had a person they call the Sword God watching over them! No one dared to make such a person open its eyes only for them to get obliterated!

And so, it ended with just that guy's elimination and they retrieved the scrolls back.

And the funny thing was, it was just a scroll about the new students in the school!

It was a monthly report of the school to the king! Telling the king that the school had been doing its job!

So, that guy just died for practically no reason whatsoever!

And just like that the days passed until one day.

When Eiji woke up one day, he felt restless and his ki was bursting wanting to get out in every single pore of his body!

He understood that he was breaking through so he jumped out the window and sat cross legged in the back yard.

His Master had heard the noise outside and flet his restless ki so he guarded Eiji!

Eiji felt something was breaking within him! Ki was flowing out so much from his dantian!

And every single part of his body was being nourished by these excess ki slowly transforming and upgrading his body!

*Swoooshh!!!!

Still, his ki was running rampant everywhere, he had seen Akai and Marco's break through so he didn't panicked and stabilized the ki that he could control and let the excess out lest he wrestled with it and end up with his body exploding!

*Swoooshh!!!!

*ZIINNGG!!!

His sword intent also exploded which caused massive cuts into their training grounds.

As his realm and ki got stronger and stronger, so did his sword intent!

A few minutes later, his ki and sword intent slowly stabilized.

Eiji then felt the power coursing in his body!

Eiji smiled happily and looked at his master.

"Congratulations Eiji! You are now a Master Level swordsman! And you are just eleven years old!"

Muri praised Eiji as he softly patted his shoulder.

"Thank you Master!"

Eiji nodded happily.

"Let's go eat outside as a celebration!"

Eiji and his master just had a small celebration, Eiji didn't care much about it and so after telling the news to the department, Eiji and the others went back to their training and was waiting for a mission from the department.

A few weeks went by and as Eiji got used to his new strength, the three of them were called in the commander's office.

"Now that you three are now at a Master Level,I guess you can take a longer and a bit more difficult tasks now."

"Oohhh!!"

Marco exclaimed happily eager for a challenge, though he always spar with the other two, they didn't really go all out to not injure each other.

And he was kinda frustrated because he couldn't defend against Eiji's fast attacks nor could he anticipate Akai's sneak attacks.

He wasn't weak by any means, it was just he just couldn't get a hold of his teammates in each spar which makes him had a lot more loses every time.

"The mission this time would take a few days to a week. You three are tasked to go to the Baag Village, one of the villages managed by the city of Gale."

"Baag?! That's a mountainous area isn't it?!"

Akai asked.

"Yeah! Your mission would be in there..."
