Chapter 334: Chapter 331.

Chapter 331.

At times, Wang Feng found it quite fascinating. From the perspective of the Red Lotus Karmic Fire, it seemed that his Dark Angel martial soul was its complete opposite. Whenever his body was possessed by the Dark Angel martial soul, it felt like countless karmic burdens were placed upon him. Of course, it wasn't that extreme, but the contradiction between them was very evident.

Because the Dark Angel martial soul had yet to fully evolve, there was a stark contradiction between the two, though not an outright conflict. Wang Feng had tested the first evolution of the Dark Angel martial soul, activating the first pair of black wings behind him. These wings radiated a violent light, brighter than the other five pairs, and the first blood like line on his body glowed intensely.

This granted him the ability to release a strange aura within a hundred meters around him. It wasn't exactly a domain since it could be resisted, but it was a powerful aura. Within this aura, all living beings would be overcome with uncontrollable anger, losing awareness of themselves, and their vitality would be slowly absorbed by Wang Feng's Dark Angel martial soul until they perish eventually.

It was a sinister ability, and honest as Wang Feng was, he didn't like using it. He treated it as a last resort, a hidden card to play only in the most dire of situations.

After tempering his body with the Red Lotus Karmic Fire, Wang –Feng absorbed the torso soul bone, a process that only took three days. Once absorbed, his physical strength received a massive boost. It was an all-encompassing enhancement, given that the soul bone was a hundred-thousand-year-old treasure.

Two powerful soul abilities accompanied this new soul bone.

The first was a sealing type ability similar to that of the Mountain and Sea Ice Dragon Whale. It allowed him to seal his opponent's soul and body, just as the Mountain and Sea Ice Dragon Whale had sealed the energy of the Ice Heart of All Spirit.

Wang Feng named this ability [Stasis]. It could freeze an opponent, encasing them in ice, sealing not –only their body but also their consciousness. However, this ability could only affect one opponent at a time, and its duration was determined by the difference in soul power.

The second soul ability complemented the first. Once an enemy was frozen, countless soul like thread would be released would be released, drawing out the opponent's soul power with terrifying speed. This draining ability was even more potent than the soul power devouring effect of Wang Feng's [Soul Devouring Blood Wing].

By Wang Feng's estimation, even a Soul Sage could be completely drained of his soul power in just over ten seconds, though the prerequisite was that the target had to be frozen first but the first soul bone ability.

These two soul abilities worked as a deadly combo, though the first ability—[Stasis]—was necessary for the second one to be activated.

After finalizing his training and preparations, Wang Feng realized that he had spent nearly three months in the Shijue Valley. Over two years had passed since he first came here, and he was now sixteen years old.

"It's time," Wang Feng muttered. "Time to head to the Slaughter City."

In the past two years, Wang Feng's time in the Extreme North had brought about monumental and significant changes. His soul power had reached new heights, and he had mastered the Thundering Wind Spear–. He had tamed four powerful soul beasts and reunited with Qingqing. Along the way, he had killed the Mountain and Sea Ice Dragon Whale, acquired its 90,000-year-old soul ring, and also unlocked the fifth form of his Chaos Green Lotus, Qiankun Cauldron.

He had also refined the Ice Heart of All Spirit and absorbed the soul bone acquired from the Mountain and Sea Ice Dragon Whale. His Dark Angel martial soul had also evolved, and he had refined a soul crystal.

Without a doubt, he had become immeasurably stronger than before. In fact, Wang Feng wasn't even sure how powerful he was anymore. He felt confident enough to take on a 95th-level Super Douluo, but as for anyone stronger than that? That remained unknown.

Reflecting on everything he had gained—the Thundering Wind Spear Technique, the Qiankun Cauldron, the 90,000-year soul ring, the Ice Heart of All Spirit, his fully tempered body with the Red Lotus Karmic Fire, and his 100,000-year-old torso soul bone—Wang Feng couldn't help but marvel at his own progress.

The Shijue Valley had been a true treasure trove for him. His four companions, along with Qingqing, were still cultivating there, and he was certain that when they met again, they too would have undergone incredible transformations.

Of course, these were just the highlights of his accomplishments, and not necessarily in chronological order. In fact, if Wang Feng hadn't first mastered the Thundering Wind Spear, the following events might never have unfolded.

And so, Wang Feng bid farewell to his five companions, who remained in cultivation, and left the Extreme North. The newly appointed five overlords of the inner circle of the Extreme North soul beat forest—Wang Feng's "Soul Beast Doctor"— departed.

It was time for him to head to the Slaughter City.

Elsewhere in the World:

"Little San, I didn't expect you to awaken the Blue Silver Emperor martial soul," Tang Hao said, looking at Tang San, who had changed drastically. Tang Hao's eyes were filled with complex emotions as he regarded his son.

In the past two years, Tang San's appearance had undergone a remarkable transformation. He had become a strikingly handsome young man, and his soul power had reached level fifty. Under Tang Hao's guidance, he had also mastered the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Technique, allowing him to fully execute all eighty-one hammer strikes. His strength had increased dramatically.

Tang San remained silent, only nodding slightly. More than two years had passed.

"Dad, have you heard anything from brother Feng in the past two years?" Tang San asked quietly.

For most of the past two years, Tang Hao had merely pointed Tang San in the right direction for his training, allowing him to practice on his own. Tang Hao would then return periodically to check on his progress.

Tang Hao's expression darkened slightly, and after a moment's hesitation, he shook his head. "Little San, I don't want to lie to you. I've been searching for news about Xiao Feng during these past two years, but I haven't found anything."

"How is that possible?" Tang San murmured. "Is there no word at all? Isn't there a mysterious, masked, and powerful figure appearing on the continent? If there is, that has to be Brother Feng!"

Tang Hao remained silent.

Tang San truly seemed to understand Xiao Feng well. His speculation wasn't without merit.

Tang Hao often thought of that young man—Wang Feng—who had once fought fiercely against two Titled Douluos in the Pope's Palace. Every time he recalled the scene, Tang Hao couldn't help but sigh.

In truth, Tang Hao wasn't certain if Wang Feng was still alive. During these two years, aside from guiding Tang San, Tang Hao had heard nothing about Wang Feng, despite numerous factions secretly searching for him. These included the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, the royal family of the Star Luo Empire, and even several other notable groups.

But no one had found any trace of Wang Feng.

Wang Feng had spent his time deep in the Far North, a place rarely visited by soul masters. Even those who ventured there seldom encountered him. After Wang Feng tamed his four companions and continued his cultivation, the resulting power fluctuations became so overwhelming that any approaching soul master would sense the danger from afar and avoid it, assuming it was a fierce soul beast battle. No one had dared to get close enough to discover Wang Feng.

Many believed Wang Feng was still alive, but given his abilities, it was difficult to imagine him remaining hidden for so long. Yet there had been no news about him from anywhere on the mainland.

Tang Hao shook his head. "I don't think it's quite like what you've described."

Hearing this, Tang San clenched his fists. "I don't believe it! Brother Feng can't just be gone like that. We made a promise to meet again after five years! I've become stronger now, and I haven't even had the chance to defeat you, brother Feng! You can't just disappear like this!"
