Rising of the Shield Hero Re-Rise

"Fitoria.... Fitoria..... Fitoria...." I was calling her name while running in the jungle.

I came inside the forest where I met fitoria for the first time in my previous life. And why am I calling her name non-stop? Because I need her help of course. There are some filolials in this forest to, I hope they convey my message to her.

She doesn't know me in this life. She would have known only those things about me which the filolials would have told her. I wonder whether the latest rumour about me would have reached her or not, it's good if it hasn't reached.

Whatever it is, when she meets me then after reading my thoughts she will come to know what is the truth.

"Fitoria, I know you know that I, that means the shield hero is looking for you and wants to talk to you. If you still don't come then I'll conclude that you are insulting the four legendary heroes." I shouted

"Just by not coming on your call, it'll be an insult to the four legendary heroes? I'm sorry but your strategy isn't going to work on me."

I knew you'd come.

"But it did." I said with a sarcastic smile

I know you respect the four legendary heroes more than anything else, since you yourself have been raised by four legendary heroes. So there's no way you can just ignore what I said.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Fitoria, the Queen of the Filolials. Can I ask you how do you know about me?"

Many philolials surrounded us, as if they want to show me who's the boss.

"Welcome, Queen." I said with utmost respect.

"Portal…"

When she yelled, the scenery around us instantly changed.

"We should be able to talk safely here." she said

It was the same destroyed castle as last time.

There were stones laid out in lines and buried in the dirt, and here and there stone houses poked out of the gloom. Plants had grown over everything, and the size and extent of the root systems meant that these things must have been here for a while.

Further out, and the forest had taken over.

There was a thick white fog over everything, which limited how far we could see. Vines and shrubbery covered everything, as far as I could see. I couldn't discern a way out.

Let's go with the normal procedure.

"Where are we?" I asked the obvious.

"This is the country that the original Heroes fought to protect, or the ruins of it anyway. That's what they say." she said.

"The original heroes huh? So what am I?" I asked

"Oh sorry if I offended you, I meant the first heroes."

"So what do you want to talk to me about?" She asked

I locked my eyes with her. She looked surprised for a moment and then maintained her composure.

Oh come on, you already know what I'm thinking, don't you? There's no way you don't.

"Why aren't you saying anything. You can talk right? You were shouting a moment ago so I know you can."

Why are you acting so...stupid? You already know that I know you can read my thoughts and that I cane back in time. So, why are you acting so clueless?

She didn't say anything.

I don't have time to waste in this useless staring contest. Do I have to say it? Fine by me.

"Can you stop playing dumb already? I know that you can read my mind. So just give an answer about whether you'll help me or not?" I asked her

"So you already know that I can read mind? Who told you this?"

"Can you stop wasting time already?"

The rest of the filolials were looking at me angrily. they were trying to intimidate me.

"I see... You think I'm reading your mind."

"You aren't? I hope you start doing that now, it'll save a lot of our time."

So she wasn't reading my mind till now. Looks like I have acted foolishly. Well, at last Fitoria found out that the move is about to go, so it doesn't change the situations much anyway.

She put her hand on her chin.

"It is not that I am not reading your mind on purpose. The truth is that you are not able to read my mind. This is happening for the first time since I have got this power when I am not able to read the mind of a hero. Just... Who are you?"

Really, I mean... Really? She can't read my mind? But she was able to read my mind in my previous life just fine. Maybe it has something to do with my coming back in time.

"What are you thinking, just say it. I hope you aren't thinking anything weird about me. Oh god, it's so frustrating not to read someone's thought, that too when that person is ....., no less!" She said

What was that pause for?

"Fitoria, maybe you can't read my mind because-

What's happening with me? It's too painful! My heart is aching, I'm suffocating. Is it an indication that I can't tell anyone I came back in time?

"The reason is? Are you alright?" Fitoria asked

I was groaning in pain, I was't able to stand. I fell on the ground.

After a while, my pain finally began to subside.

Maybe I should try explaining it to her in an indirect way.

"Fitoria, I know what is going to happen next, after ten years from now there is going to be a war between all the kingdoms."

Looks like it is working.

"Can you stop being foolish?" Fitoria said

Suddenly, a sword appeared in her hand and... My head? It got sliced?

It can't be. I didn't even saw her movements, it's impossible.

my consciousness is fading. Why did you do this Fitoria? Why? Wait, she can't be Fitoria! I never saw her using a sword.

There is no use in thinking about all these things. The truth is that... my life ends here.
