After fighting with a beast, Eugene decided to find shelter but was blocked by Kaizer, saying that Casimin already found one and the two teams can accommodate it. When Eugene saw the place he was surprised because that's the one he plan to go to.

Forget it, it was Kaizer's team shelter in the past and he just plan to grab it. Since he can't grab it just join them so his team would survive the night without a beast's attack.

"Commander since we already found one so quickly, can I and Theoran hunt the beast ourselves for the team? We promise to go back before dusk."

Eugene frown.

"Should I go---" Sanciel waved his hand cutting off Eugene saying, "No commander, you work enough, we can't just let you drag us above. We won't go near the gate to avoid high-level beast, we'll just probably be around here and look for some food for dinner too."

Kaizer who heard Sanciel patted Euegne's shoulder: "Let them, if you keep protecting them they won't be able to practice their skills."

Zaoran who is eavesdropping raises his hand and shouted, "Commander I'll go with vice-commander too, we can't just let you work on your own to bring our team in above ranking." as he pulled his friend beside him: "I'll take Reign too, the commander could just relax now and rest since you already fought a level 7 demonize beast."

Casimin: "Your team is so responsible."

Rasiel: "Not bad, not bad. Fight yourselves and don't rely on others."

Kaizer glance at Timber and grinned before saying in a low voice that seems so concerned, "How about you Rozans? I never saw you hunt beasts since you are only protected by Eugene. I have no ill means, I just think that since you joined the warfare then you're already a knight. What if you can't protect yourself because you always have the thought of being saved by someone?"

Timber flinches as everyone throws a scrutinizing look.

Kaizer's words made Eugene realize something.

"Eugene don't get angry about what I said, I'm just concerned because you can't always be beside Timber. Just what if something happens? Shouldn't Timber at least know how to protect himself so you won't be worried? If it were me I would never do it...make the person who likes me worry too much. It's for his sake too that I'm saying this..."

Casimin stared at Kaizer's hand almost hugging Eugene's arm.

Looking at Timber who is pursing his lips with red eyes while staring at Kaizer and Eugene. Casimin blink and held his chin. Really, it's like a love one versus potential love rival scenario.

Hearing Eugene's affirmation. Kaizer immediately widens his smile while staring at Timber.

Timber sniffs, "Y-Yes."

Eugene smile and patted Timber's head: "Be good. I know you can do it. I believe in you."

Kaizer clench his fist, wanting to pull Eugene's hand but restrain his desire, afraid that if he do something stupid, his brother would get angry at him. He was already given a warning, if he cross the line, he was afraid that his brother would make it too painful for him.

Eugene retracted his arm from Kaizer's grip and send off his team, wishing them good luck. Rasiel also dragged his team for adventure and to get food. The only remaining person in the cave is only Casimin, Kaizer, and Eugene.

The three of them didn't talk much.

But Kaizer does stick a lot with Eugene making Casimin so done.

"Tomorrow is the last day of the first round, I don't know what the second round would be."

Eugene glance at Casimin while pushing away Kaizer's face and said: "It's probably related to a dungeon." just like in the past, which is the treasure hunt. But the most exciting and overwhelming part is the third round, a team battle. In the third round, it doesn't matter how heavy your injuries are because you need to survive until the end if you desire victory. It's the last team standing, that will win.

"You make sense, after all, a dungeon opened."

Eugene held Kaizer's hand preventing it from hugging his waist.

"It's not bad, just always be prepared."

Casimin paused and look at Kaizer who is like a dog wanting to play with its owner and couldn't help but facepalm. Fortunately, Eugene didn't get angry because even if he tried Kaizer won't budge so he just indulged in Kaizer's mischievousness instead.

"Eugene our team should join together---"

"Don't need."

Kaizer pouted. Thinking of being separated from Eugene made him dissatisfied. Probably because his brother already has so much influence on him, it's also affecting him when it comes to Eugene, but he won't dare to fight his brother, he can't do that.

Eugene smile when he saw the ranking board.

Total of ninety-seven and is in second place now. Good, as expected of his team.

It was near dusk when Sancial and others came back securing the rank of first and second place which made Eugene amazed and praise them.

Timber happily run towards Eugene and show him the fruits he picked.

"Commander, I didn't expect Timber to be so good at swordsmanship. He should have an academic rank, too bad he didn't participate in pre-training."

Eugene patted Timber's head and accept the apple.

When the sun goes down and night came, everyone lit up a bonfire and grill the meats that team 1 hunted and share it with everyone.

The audience outside has long been gone and goes back to their houses before dusk because the academy will close. They will just go back tomorrow morning if they still wanted to watch. Some rented in near inns so they could just walk back to the academy without long travel.

It's cheaper as no one is allowed to camp outside Eustoma.

After eating their dinner, everyone put on bedding because Casimin brought one and stored it in his storage ring. Team 4 watches Team 1 fix the place they would lay on dumbfoundedly.

"Are you still not moving?"

Eugene lowered his head. He forgot about it.

Seeing that team 4 is in silence, everyone looks at them with wide eyes: "No way, don't tell me none of your bring a baggage?!" Raised asked in a surprised voice.

Timber held the hem of Eugene's clothes and look over worriedly.

He always sleeps in a big and soft comfortable bed, now they don't even have a quilt to use how can they sleep under the cold night?

Kaizer immediately comes over happily.

"It's alright we can all share, two persons in one bedding. Eugene can sleep with me!"

Eugene: "Would that be fine?"

Casimin laughed: "It's good, our bedding can accommodate two persons, we're even so no one will be left behind. Just choose who you want to share with or just borrow if your team wants to sleep with each other."

Timber: "Casimin, can I borrow yours? Eugene and I will sleep together!"

Kaizer: !!! Did no one hear what he says?!

Casimin: "Good, I'll just squeeze with Rasiel."

Timber happily receives the bedding and looks at Eugene expectantly. Seeing this, Eugene chuckled and patted Timber's head: "Well, sleep together."

Kaizer: !!! Does no one really hear his words?!

Kaizer sullenly watches Eugene, help Timber place the bedding.

When everyone is ready to lie down, one person is still standing, nervously looking at Kaizer. Knowing that he can't do it...share a bed with the son of the grand duke, he run towards Eugene and begged in a low voice.

"E-Eugene can we exchange?"

Eugene and Timber froze when one of the team members of Kaizer approached.

"Why?"

"I-I can't sleep with the little grand duke, I feel like I would If I do. P-Please the little grand duke and you seem to be close so can we exchange? I-I'm really scared."

Timber grabs Eugene's clothes tightly.

Eugene seeing the boy's pale face, sighs and looks at Timber.

"Be good. I'll share with Kaizer and you share with him." a quilt was given to them by team 4, if one of the members of team 4 has a problem with sleeping, it'll be their guilt. Eugene can only agree out of gratitude and decided to coax Timber first before sleeping.

Timber can only hum and rest himself in Eugene's embrace.

Eugene patted Timber's back and coax him to sleep. Such a big boy, and is so spoiled. Eugene sigh and comb Timber's hair using his fingers. In just a few minutes, Timber fell asleep.

Eugene places the sleeping Timber on the bedding.

The boy watches Eugene in astonishment and praise in his heart.

Good. So good! Better than his mother!

Eugene immediately walk towards Kaizer's direction and lifted the quilt, causing Kaizer to be surprised and said: "E-Eugene? Did you change your mind and want to sleep with me?"

Eugene: "Your teammates are afraid of you. I can only give up my place beside Timber."

Kaizer turn around with a flushed face.

"I'm so happy."

"Next time don't give your teammates a bad attitude."

"I'm not, I'm a good boy."

"I don't think so."

"You don't believe me?!"

"You don't look believable because you look just like that person." it's a matter of trust issue. Eugene is aware that Kaizer would have a better attitude to him but when it comes to others, he is just like his [Grand Duke] father, a heartless and ruthless person.

"Sleep, I'm tired."

Kaizer could only shut his mouth and watch Eugene close his eyes.
