Breathing heavily, Zaoran look at his friend Reign but caught a sigh from the beast snake behind Timber, coming out of the bushes which surprise him so he shouted: "Timber watch out behind you! Level 5 demonized snake beast! Its poison is dangerous!"

Timber frown and look behind him.

The moment he glances back, the demon snake beast opens its mouth and pounces forward.

"Ah--" When Timber thought he would be bitten, a sword flew passed them and struck the head of the snake.

Eugene is walking back leisurely when he heard Zaoran's scream so he immediately runs in a hurry only to witness that damn snake nearing to bite Timber which arouses his madness in an instant. Eugene's heart is beating fast and a moment of thrill...seeing Timber being attacked by a beast with strong deadly poison almost made him collapse.

"This sword..."

Timber open his mouth to call out Eugene but before he got to do that, Eugene appeared and hugged him while trembling, head resting on his [Timber] shoulder.

"Eugene?"

Eugene hummed, "Stay, let me hug you for seconds."

Timber pursed his lips and look at his teammates helplessly while patting Eugene's head, asking.."Is something wrong?"

Because Eugene's face is hidden in Timber's neck, no one sees that Eugene's eyes are glowing and a glint of new color from moonstone grey eyes is a bit showing...a golden hue.

"Rank 2, am I dreaming?" Theoran with dizzy eyes stares at the scoring board, full of complications. Still couldn't believe that in just a few hours their team who is ranked last climbed to second. All thanks to the recklessness of their commander in farming points.

"Team one is only 4 points ahead, damn...so close."

Reign held his stomach.

"I'm hungry, can we eat before continuing our hunt?"

Eugene who heard food instantly raised his head, "Agree, we should eat first!"

Timber laugh.

No one realizes that Eugene was poisoned and decided to rest first before finding food and shelter. Seeing his [Eugene] team members not caring about their image and laying on the ground while staring at the skies with ease, he joined their leisure and talk their hearts out.

Theoran: "I don't know if it's possible but I want our team to grab the first place."

Reign sighed, "I do think it's impossible with Kaizer in team 1."

Eugene pointed at himself, "How about me? No thoughts?"

Everyone turns their head to look at Eugene and laughs, "No way, commander you are too reckless, I'm afraid before that even if we place first it's not worth losing arms and legs."

Timber held his stomach in laughter, "See, it's you're fault for leaving us with so many high-level demon beasts to deal with. I was nearly bitten by a snake! I'm afraid before being first you'll be losing teammates!"

Eugene frown, "Stop exaggerating, this is not a real war."

Feeling dizzy, Euge gritted his teeth.

It's not impossible to be first because later at night, he'll be doing an ambush and killing those motherfucker demon snake beasts for poisoning him and almost biting Timber. He doesn't care what others think of him, he'll get revenge for threatening Timber's life! No demon snake should be left alive before dawn to not endangered Timber!

"You're frowning again."

Timber caressed Eugene's forehead, "But why are you sweating too much?"

Eugene grinned, "Probably because I'm hot?"

The audience outside shouted 'shameless' while urging Eugene to get treated as soon as possible while some keep wishing for Timber to notice that their commander is poisoned.

A1: "What's with this boy being hard-headed? does he think he can withstand a poison of level 7 demon snake beast?"

A2: "Is there no observer with them? How come no one knows that someone got bitten by a poisonous snake? It's dangerous."

A3: "That's right it's too strange, some team have observers to their rescue but team 4 have none? Something smells fishy."

The surrounding is full of complaints and their loud voice caught the attention of the higher-ups in the academy so they immediately contact the other leader of 'observer' to know what's happening inside the Sena forest. Though nervous, there's no sign of an outsider ambush, and the knights before the opening checked the identity of the people who enter the academy to watch the selection. There's no way someone could interfere in the biggest events of the empire.

Marquis Shradinza clenches his fist: "How come no observer is still coming?!"

Grand Duke Karsten frown and immediately call his subordinate.

"Go, find something to connect with Kaizer inside Sena and inform him that Eugene is poisoned. Immediate treatment is needed."

"Yes!"

Hearing Grand Duke Karsten's concern, Marquis Shradinza calm down and sat back, staring intently at the [water] mirror [screen].

Eugene and his team are still laying on the ground.

They got too tired of fighting numerous beasts of different levels and types. This is why no one noticed Eugene's pale complexion as they close their eyes in exhaustion.

A7: "Tsk. Tsk. Look at that kid, he'll die."

A8: "Where the hell are the observers?!"

Marquis Shradinza feels like collapsing, his head starting to hurt again while watching Eugene's dead-like condition. He's thinking about his eldest son who is one of the observers, why not watch over your little brother? Minutes have passed and they're sure the poison is now consuming Eugene's body, if this continues, there would be casualties in just the first game.

Marquis Shradinza opened his mouth and was about to ask what the Grand Duke mean when the other party motion him to look at the screen where Team 1 is shown. Kaizer's team who is walking through the northern part of the forest stop hunting to rest to go south to find shelter. However, in the middle of their journey, a black crown flew in their direction and landed on Kaizer's shoulder.

They're unaware of what happened but Kaizer who is talking to the crow immediately told them where he'll go before teleporting.

"What happens?"

Casimin: "It's probably an emergency."

"How envious, he can teleport."

"What do you expect from a dualist?"

Raisel scratches his head, "We should go and meet him on the border of the north."

The audience cheered when they saw Kaizer appear in the location of Team 4. What do you expect from the son of the grand duke? A dualist genius that exceed his father's talent and brought glory to the empire when he is just seven years old...

A10: "This kid is lucky, that's the son of the grand duke."

A17: "You fight me?! Are you blind and can't see his skills?!"

A14: "I fight you! I will bet 30 gold coins! Team 1 will win this warfare selection!"

A17: "Alright I will bet 50 gold coins! Team 4 will dominate the whole selection! Just wait!"

[A17] The magician let out a loud hmp and cross his arms in anger. What do these common people know? A knight and magician can tell the difference between Team 1 and Team 4's strengths but none of them will invalidate the capability of Team 4 because they felt it, the strange mana that the commander of Team 4 is exuding.

"You actually fight those people?"

The magician snort, "Hearing their ignorance is irritating."

The magician's companion sighed.

Eugene's team on the other hand sat up alarmed when Kaizer suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"The hell?!"

Sanciel calms his teammates, "That's teleportation, relax."

"W-What is the commander of Team is d-doing here?"

Sensing Kaizer's dangerous aura and expressionless face, Reign stiffens, hiding behind Zaoran with indivisible tears, praying above that Kaizer is not here to ambush their team.

"Eugene."

Kaizer knelt and held Eugene's head.

Seeing this, Timber's claws appear and meow at Kaizer "What are you doing?! Let go of Eugene!" well, the cat is so fierce but his trembling body when facing the hunter wasn't able to conceal his fear. Such a person, Kaizer ignores Timber's hiss and checks Eugene's body to find the wound.

Witnessing the gray veins and reddening skin in Eugene's hand, Kaizer frown.

"Your commander is poisoned but none of you notice?"

Hearing what Kaizer said, everyone paused and widen their eyes.

"Poison?!"

Timber panics "W-What poison, how come?!"

Kaizer wrapped his hand around Eugene's wound and use the healing magic of extracting poison. The poison has been running around Eugene's body for an hour so it's no surprise that Eugene is now paralyzed, however, what surprises him is that despite the poison's strength it can only get through Eugene's arm and can't pass through the other body parts.

How?

Kaizer tilted his head.

This is rare, this is the first time he witness such a scene.

There is really nothing to be worried about because even if no one finds out, Eugene won't die, at most he will just suffer from the painful backlash of poison.

No wonder he [Eugene] looks pale.

The poison is too painful.

Waking up from his nap, Eugene opened his eyes and met Kaizer's bewildered face.

"You--"

*stomach growls.

"I'm hungry."

Kaizer froze.

Seeing this, Eugene pinch Kaizer's face and ordered: "I'm hungry, I'm dying of hunger, go find me food. I'll give you five minutes."

Kaizer: "!!!"

Sanciel/Theoran: "Food? Hungry?"

Zaoran/Reign: "???"

Timber: "Hrungry!"

Hearing what Eugene said, Timber hurriedly crawl near Eugene and kick Kaizer, saying..."Why are you still here?! Eugene says he's hungry and is ordering you to get food!"

Kaizer: "???" did this person just kick him?

"Hungry, I'm hungry."

Timber glared at Kaizer: "Go!"

Kaizer flinch and immediately steps back, looking at Eugene and saying, "I'll go find you food, stay still." with a doting voice.

Watching Kaizer's back and hurried pace...

Audience: "..."

What happens? What just happen?

A1: "I rely on! Did I see it wrong?!"

A2: "Fuck, what about poison?!"

A3: "Hungry, He's hungry hahaha."

A5: "Is it just me or just now they look cute?"

A7: "See? The kid of Shradinza is really something. Actually, pinching the cheeks of the son of Grand Duke Karsten? Where is Grand Duke Karsten? If you are watching give us a sign! Your son run an errand for someone!"

Marquis Shradinza choke while Grand Duke Kasraten just chuckle.

Timber: "Eugene don't die!"

Eugene: "My stomach feels empty, but with you, I fear nothing."

Timber: "Eugene~"

Sanciel/Theoran/Zaoran/Reign: "..." What kind of theatrical play is this? and please can you take back your senses? Are you forgetting about the poison thing? Also, did Timber just kick the precious son of the Grand Duke and even shoo it away to get food?
