Rebirth of the Celestial Miracle Doctor

Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Crowding Forward

This man was none other than the always expressionless Yun Mu.

It wasn't really fair to blame Yun Mu for his poker face; it was just that seeing this group of people made him feel annoyed. He wondered why the car looked a bit odd, why the people seemed vaguely familiar, and then he realized they were the same group he had encountered the previous night on Bald Mountain.

Indeed, enemies often cross each other's paths.

"Hello, are you looking for someone?" Yun Mu asked politely, despite his feelings. After all, he was currently the executive assistant and needed to act like a cultured person.

"Yes," the underling managed to squeeze a few words out from between his clenched teeth.

"Who are you looking for?" Yun Mu continued, still wearing a polite smile.

"Yun Mu..." At this moment, the underling actually saw the name badge on the man's chest. Yun Mu - the two black characters stood out prominently against the white background of the badge.

"I am Yun Mu. Is there something I can help you with?" A mischievous smirk finally appeared on Yun Mu's face.

Yun Mu's response completely broke the underling's last line of defense.

"There's a ghost!" The scream echoed to the heavens and burst like a thunderclap in the relatively quiet Central Business District.

"What's all this then?"

Black Brother, who had been comfortably waiting for news from his underling in the back of the car, heard the shrieks and immediately sat up straight.

Wasn't that the voice of his own underling? What had happened?

Within a few seconds, Black Brother witnessed his frantic underling running towards him, his hair in disarray.

"Start the car, start the car, there's a ghost!" the underling shrieked desperately.

But Black Brother got out of the car instead, scolding him sternly, "Are you out of your mind? There are no ghosts here! And where's Yun Mu?"

The underling couldn't take in what Black Brother was saying and was desperately trying to prise the car door open.

But his hands were shaking too much, and they were covered in sweat, so he couldn't even grip the small handle properly.

Seeing this, Black Brother's eyebrows furrowed in frustration.

Da Fei Brother had instructed him over the phone to pay special attention to this target and take personal action. But since Da Fei Brother always said that, Black Brother just randomly sent an underling on the errand.

He hadn't expected not to catch the person they were after and instead for his underling to go crazy. It seemed that Da Fei Brother's words this time were no empty talk.

With a slap, Black Brother hit the underling so hard that one of his teeth went flying.

"Damn it, look at me!"

Black Brother's shout seemed to bring the underling back to his senses somewhat.

"Black Brother, there's a ghost!"

The underling spoke earnestly, pausing after each word. His disheveled appearance was both infuriating and amusing to Black Brother.

"You've been eating and drinking for nothing these past few days, haven't you?" Black Brother backhanded the underling again. "Where are there ghosts in this world? Tell me."

"Black Brother, it's true," the underling said, covering the swollen side of his face and speaking mournfully, "that Yun Mu, that Yun Mu is a ghost!"

Bullshit! Yun Mu is a ghost? How could there be such a good-looking ghost?

Although Black Brother had only glanced at the photo, Yun Mu's pretty-boy appearance was etched deep into his mind.

Black Brother knew his own sexual orientation was quite standard, but for one man to make another's heart skip a beat, he had to admit, Yun Mu must be strikingly handsome.

Black Brother raised his hand to deliver a third slap to the disappointing underling.

"Damn it, are you pretending to be crazy and stupid because you don't want to work? I'll beat you senseless right now!"

The underling, seeing this, looked terrified and staring straight at Black Brother, he muttered repeatedly, "Ghost, ghost, ghost!"

"Where? I don't see any!"

Black Brother cursed and swung his hand down. But to his shock, it felt as if his wrist was restrained by something; no matter how much force he applied, he couldn't swing it down.

Damn it, could it really be a ghost?

Although Black Brother was neither religious nor superstitious, and he never cared about ghosts, Snake Gods, or any such nonsense, hence his ruthless streak and absence of mercy attracted Da Fei Brother's favor.

So Black Brother figured something must be obstructing his hand.

He looked around slowly, and what he saw when he turned his head startled him.

"Shit, aren't you just..."

"Sir, please don't hit people in front of our company. It's not a good look," said Yun Mu, firmly grasping Black Brother's wrist with one hand and speaking in a gentle tone with a smile.

"I..."

Black Brother was truly at a loss for words this time. This fellow did look exactly like the man in the photo, with a handsome face and a roguish grin, dressed in a well-fitted, respectable suit—irresistible to any woman.

How could such a bright and affable person be a Ghost Soul?

Still, Black Brother couldn't shake off an uneasy feeling.

Why did I have absolutely no feeling of when he got close to me? It's like seeing a ghost!

After all, Brother Hei was still Brother Hei. He didn't panic too much under Yun Mu's pressure.

"Kid, are you Yun Mu?"

Yun Mu nodded, saying, "Yes, sir. But I want to reiterate that if you really want to fight, could you please do it near the entrance of the company next door? We still need to do business here."

Brother Hei chuckled, a mysterious smile spreading across his face.

"Of course, of course. But we'd also like to invite you to have a bit of fun with us!"

"What do you mean?"

Before Yun Mu could react, another black business car charged out from a nearby alley and screeched to a stop beside him.

In a flash, six or seven burly men in black tight-fit singlets, brandishing weapons, emerged from the car.

Yun Mu now understood. It seemed his guess was right; these people were indeed the ones who wanted to put him in a difficult position, no, they wanted to kill him outright.

When it came to threats against his life, Yun Mu had one principle.

Strictly speaking, this had been his principle as the young master on Star Continent, and he had carried it with him to Earth.

You should know that back on Star Continent, not many people dared to touch him, not only because of his father's distinguished status, but also because of his own assertiveness!

And these people in front of him had clearly crossed that line.

Inside the office, Wen Jia finished processing a stack of documents and felt a bit of soreness in her back, so she stood up and stretched.

"Ah, what's going on these days? Why does sitting for a while make my back tired? I'm still young and haven't even had a married life. If I want to do that thing in the future, not having enough back strength just won't do."

As Wen Jia stretched, her ample bosom also rose. However, she didn't notice that her form-fitting blouse had reached its limit.

There was a snap as two buttons on the front of her blouse fell to the floor.

Annoyed, Wen Jia thought to herself that having a larger chest was a hassle. Men like women with large breasts, but women often envy those sisters with smaller ones.

Think about it, hanging two heavy water bags on your chest every day; no one would like that.

Wen Jia had no choice but to bend down to pick up the buttons from the floor; she would have to ask some of her female subordinates later if they had a needle and thread. In any case, she would need to sew it up; there was still quite a bit of time before the end of work.

As she bent down to pick up the buttons, Wen Jia caught sight of the two groups of people downstairs.

Yun Mu, in his white shirt, stood out among the crowd in black shirts surrounded by two large black business cars.

"Hey, isn't that Yun Mu? What's he doing among those people?"

And judging by the looks of it, those people meant harm to Yun Mu.

Instinctively, Wen Jia reached for the phone, but as her small hands touched the keypad, she didn't know whom she should call.

If she called the security department, just now, Young Master Shen had created a scene, and the capable security guards had all been beaten down and had just been sent to the hospital; the company's security forces were obviously insufficient.

If she called President Qingcheng, she might just cause her worry.

In fact, Wen Jia was most afraid that Qingcheng would act impulsively and step out; if these people were here to cause trouble for Qingcheng, that would be terrible.

As Wen Jia hesitated, unsure of what to do next, a fight had already broken out downstairs.

The two business cars, by coincidence, were positioned to block Yun Mu's way front and back.

Even if Yun Mu was foolish, he knew exactly what these people wanted to do with him.

Young Master Shen had just left, and these bastards had come right after; it seemed likely that they were the people Young Master Shen had called.

But Yun Mu still remembered that little brother from before.

That night, on Bald Mountain, this guy was the one who beat him the most brutally, almost knocking his heart out.

Fortunately, it seemed the man grew tired and stopped, letting the others bury Yun Mu alive.

Yun Mu pondered; it was a pity indeed. The guy had obviously been scared silly just now upon seeing him.

It's understandable, after all, seeing someone who was supposed to be dead, alive and kicking, would make anyone apprehensive.

"Hey, kid, are you deaf? I told you to come with us peacefully," Brother Hei said in irritation.

Is this guy nuts? He's surrounded by a whole crowd and still standing there daydreaming.

Only then did Yun Mu look up: "Sure, where are we going? I don't have money on me, so you'll have to treat me."

Brother Hei was taken aback for a moment before he realized, did this kid actually think he had summoned a big crowd just to invite him out to play?

"Spit! Move in!" Brother Hei couldn't be bothered to say another word.

Originally, Big Brother Fei had ordered them to capture Yun Mu alive, but Brother Hei felt irritated just looking at him.

Not only high and mighty but also handsome enough to topple kingdoms. Brother Hei couldn't stand those who act above everyone else just because they're good-looking, whether they're men or women.

Can good looks be eaten as a meal? What counts in the world of the gang is strength. Let's ruin your pretty face first and talk later.

The burly men, each one strong as a bear and fierce as a tiger, however, were swift in action. At Brother Hei's command, they rushed forward.
