Chapter 356: Chapter 38: A pleasant suprise
The dazzling prizes flashed before Ash's eyes, each one appearing and disappearing with such speed that he couldn't even make out the details with his current dynamic vision.
Ash, resigned to his fate, chose to stop the spinning interface.
As the interface slowed down, Ash's eyes widened when a name finally appeared.
"Pikanium-Z?!" Ash almost jumped out of bed in surprise but quickly calmed himself. There was no doubt that the appearance of Pikanium-Z would greatly enhance his combat capabilities.
Pikanium-Z was one of the Z-Crystals, a rare item that could only be used by Pikachu. It transformed the move Volt Tackle, which Pikachu could learn, into the powerful Z-move Catastropika.
While Ash was thrilled by the appearance of Pikanium-Z, there was one problem: Pikachu had yet to learn Volt Tackle.
"It looks like I'll have to hurry up and have Pikachu learn Volt Tackle sooner than I planned," Ash muttered.
Originally, Ash had planned for Pikachu to learn the move later, after further enhancing his physical strength through the inheritance.
Pikachu's current physical condition was still too weak for such a high-risk move, as Volt Tackle also inflicted recoil damage on the user.
However, with the appearance of Pikanium-Z, Ash had no choice but to speed up the process.
After all, Catastropika was an incredibly powerful move. With it, Pikachu would be able to take on Elite-level Pokémon.
After calming himself down, Ash decided to try the lottery again. As the interface spun once more, Ash's heart raced, and the prize that eventually appeared left him speechless.
"What's wrong?" Misty, who had almost fallen asleep, was suddenly jolted awake by the movement from Ash's bed. "What's going on?"
"Nothing, I'm just a bit thirsty. I'm going to grab a bottle of water from outside," Ash responded, keeping his voice as calm as possible. He quickly got out of bed, grabbed Pikachu's Poké Ball, and left the dormitory.
Though Misty and Tracey thought it a bit strange, they were too tired from the day's activities to press him and soon fell back to sleep.
---
Outside the Pokémon Center, the quiet night was settling in, and the area was empty. Ash made his way toward a secluded spot and called out Pikachu, who looked up at him with confusion.
"Looks like we've got another companion who could reach the top…" Ash began after a few moments of quiet reflection.
"Pika… Pika?!" Pikachu's ears perked up in surprise. His expression was one of sheer curiosity as he gazed at Ash, trying to process what he meant. His wide eyes were adorable as he looked back at Ash.
"That's right! It's just like you and Charizard. The inheritance of the Three legendary Gods!" Ash said with a smile, ruffling Pikachu's fur.
He then turned his attention to the lottery interface once more, where a new prize had appeared: The Giant Obelisk, the Divine Weapon Inheritance!
---
Inheritance: Obelisk's Giant Divine Weapon
This inheritance, when applied to a Pokémon, would significantly boost its physical abilities, granting it the power of Obelisk's Titan Weapon.
Ability 1: Divine Fist Crush – A powerful move capable of shattering anything in its path.
Ability 2: Soul Fury – A devastating attack that channels the user's rage, greatly increasing their power.
The origin of this inheritance was based on Obelisk the Tormentor, one of the Three Illusion Gods from Yu-Gi-Oh.
In mythology, Obelisk represented destruction and power, drawing inspiration from Egyptian mythology where the god Set was known as the God of Strength and War.
The inheritance granted the Pokémon the power of destruction, akin to the forces wielded by Obelisk, and would ultimately allow the Pokémon to take on the role of a "God of Destruction."
This power could transform the Pokémon into a force of destruction, similar to how Mewtwo and Giratina wield destructive powers.
Mewtwo's Psychic Destruction and Giratina's Shadow Force were examples of this power in action.
Ash was stunned. This inheritance could make a Pokémon nearly unstoppable. But there was a catch—this inheritance could only be used on one Pokémon.
He had to decide carefully which of his Pokémon would benefit the most from this power.
---
Ash's mind was still racing when the next prize appeared: Move Inheritance: Instant Coax.
---
Move Inheritance: Instant Coax
This move came from the world of Bleach, combining the skills of Baida and Kidou. It granted incredible speed and strength for a short burst, but it came at a high physical cost.
The more proficient a Pokémon became with this move, the less stamina it consumed.
While this inheritance wasn't as flashy as Obelisk's Divine Weapon, it was incredibly practical.
Ash had learned that Instant Coax could be taught to any Pokémon as long as they were capable of learning it—much like how Aerial Ace had been passed down to Haunter from Pidgeot.
---
Ash couldn't believe his luck. Among the three prizes, Pikanium-Z had seemed like the best, but these two new inheritances were far beyond his expectations.
With the inheritance of Obelisk's Divine Weapon, his Pokémon could gain god-like strength, and Instant Coax would offer them a burst of speed and power.
Now, Ash faced a dilemma. "Who should I give these inheritances to?" he wondered, staring at the interface. "Which Pokémon will benefit the most?"
The choices weighed heavily on him. The inheritances were incredibly powerful, but using them correctly would be key to Ash's future victories.
The time to make these decisions was quickly approaching, and Ash had to carefully consider who would be the best recipient of each power.
