It's actually pretty simple to figure out where Morning Sun got its formula.
Just do a little research on patents.
Many people discovered that these patents belong to Evan.
And who is Evan? Someone soon found out.
Professor Ethan's favorite protégé, Evan was the one who earned his senior breeder certificate on the very day he registered the patent.
Looking at the information, it turns out that this is an impressive person.
Back in school, nearly all his grades were perfect.
Moreover, his Trainer level is quite high. Using only the Pokémon provided by the school, he had no rivals at the same level.
And that's not even mentioning his skills as a breeder.
After reading this information, many people were filled with envy.
As for poaching, it's not as though no one considered it.
But when they remembered that Evan was Professor Ethan's apprentice, they immediately gave up the idea.
Not to mention using any form of coercion.
Many of Professor Ethan's former students now hold high-ranking positions.
And some of his old friends are in key roles within the Alliance.
In this way, Evan could be considered half an Alliance member himself.
So the ideas of poaching, coercion, or inducement were dismissed outright.
It can't be done. Not at all.
Because of this, many people could only look on with envy.
Evan, however, didn't know this.
A few days later, his breeding house was finally completed.
Looking at the pure white building, Evan gave a thumbs up, satisfied with its appearance.
Now *this* looks like a breeding house!
Sophia had been helping Evan prepare all sorts of things.
He had to admit that his reliable underclassman really knew how to get things done.
He'd be able to move in that very night.
The chosen materials were quick-drying and ready for use immediately.
Ah, the benefits of advanced technology in this world.
The setup was completed today, and he could move in right away.
As Evan was touring the new building, Sophia arrived as well.
Riding her Garchomp, Sophia descended from the sky.
Several little girls who had been watching nearby saw Sophia's arrival and ran over excitedly.
Though they'd only spent a day together, the children from the orphanage were already quite fond of her.
"Sister Sophia!"
"Sister Sophia, you're here?"
"Hello, Garchomp!" (*′▽`)ノノ
One little girl even greeted Garchomp.
Garchomp's fierce appearance softened as it interacted with the children.
"Hello, everyone."
"Have you all had lunch?"
Sophia dismounted from Garchomp and greeted the children warmly.
At her question, the children nodded eagerly.
"We have!"
"We ate a lot of delicious food today!"
"Hehe~~!"
Since Evan returned, everyone's meals had improved significantly.
Evan never skimps when it comes to taking care of the kids.
In the past, when the old dean was around, meals were nutritious but not always tasty.
With Evan around, there's always plenty, with meat at every meal.
And the food is truly delicious.
After Sophia greeted the children, she turned to speak with Evan.
"Evan, it's all set here."
"Are you planning to open tomorrow?"
"Do you need any more help with anything?"
The construction had gone incredibly smoothly, and the team was just about finished.
The entire area around the back mountain was enclosed as well.
Even the wild Pokémon had been cooperative, causing no trouble.
They'd even planted some fruit trees, which would transform the landscape over time.
Each type of Berry tree was arranged in its own section, spaced and organized neatly.
Though they were small saplings now, they'd look beautiful once they fully grew.
This would be the Berry field at the mountain's base, while the upper mountain areas remained largely untouched.
Many original trees were still thriving there.
In other words, the orchard only used half of the land, leaving the other half in its natural state.
Evan chuckled at Sophia's question.
"Everything's ready."
"If I wanted, I could open it right now."
"So no rush. We'll take it slow."
Looking at everything around him, Evan felt that there was nothing left to prepare.
Now, it was just a matter of waiting.
Waiting for the trees to grow, waiting for guests to arrive, and so on.
Next, he'd need to start stocking up on energy cubes.
Otherwise, he'd be scrambling to prepare if customers came sooner than expected.
Hearing Evan's response, Sophia nodded.
She smiled and said, "Then, Evan, would you mind if I left Ralts with you?"
"Could I entrust you with training it?"
Her eyes shone with anticipation as she spoke.
Evan was momentarily surprised.
"Don't you want to raise it yourself?"
This caught him off guard.
Wasn't it strange to leave a newly acquired Pokémon with someone else for training?
Wouldn't she be worried that Ralts might grow more attached to him and not recognize her as its Trainer?
Sophia laughed and then began explaining her reasoning.
"I still have to be at school most of the time," Sophia explained. "I don't have much time to train."
"It'd be better for him to stay here with you."
"I'll come over after class, so there's nothing to worry about."
"I usually ask you for training help anyway."
"Plus, Evan, you're a Psychic. You'll definitely be able to train Ralts well."
"And I think he'd look forward to it too."
With that, Sophia released her Ralts from its Poké Ball, which she had left unlocked so it could hear their conversation.
As soon as Ralts appeared, it didn't look to Sophia first. Instead, it immediately greeted Evan with enthusiasm.
Seeing the little Pokémon's eagerness, Evan couldn't help but smile.
It seemed he was more popular with Ralts than its own Trainer.
Sophia looked on, a bit exasperated.
Her Ralts was already taken with another Trainer—what was that supposed to mean?
"Ralts, did you hear what I just said?"
"What do you think?"
"I'll usually leave you here with Evan, and then I'll come by after school to take you home in the evenings."
"What do you say?"
Ralts nodded, understanding. Staying with this friendly big brother? That sounded just fine.
"Raa~!"
"It said no problem," Evan translated for Sophia.
Hearing this, she nodded.
"In that case, let's have Evan sign the contract."
"Let me be your first official guest!"
"Hehe."
Sophia sounded genuinely excited.
She was really looking forward to seeing how Evan's breeding house would turn out.
Evan would definitely be great at taking care of her Pokémon, right?
