Orion and the Primordial System

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: First Inhabitants of the Empire

The gentle breeze caressed the isolated village, a small cluster of simple wooden huts surrounded by mountains and dense forests.

The inhabitants were few, their worn clothes and faces marked by the harsh life of labor and suffering.

The Kanar Tribe, one of the oldest in the world, had been forgotten by the surrounding empires and nations. Despite their resilience, their population was trapped in poverty, hunger, and the constant humiliation from neighboring villages.

Every day, the people of Kanar were forced to negotiate with corrupt merchants who took advantage of their situation, extorting them with exorbitant prices for basic resources like grain and fabric.

Many of the tribe's youth had been taken as slaves or forced to fight in battles that brought them no glory, only more misery.

The tribe lived isolated from the outside world, surviving on what nature provided. Their faces reflected not only the harshness of life but also a spark of hope that refused to die.

On that day, as on so many others, the leader of the tribe, Ankar, an old and weary man, sat in a simple chair in the center of the village, observing his people with melancholic eyes. He knew that the tribe was on the brink of extinction.

Nature, which had once been their ally, seemed to be turning against them. The crops were failing, and hunts were becoming increasingly scarce.

As Ankar pondered the dark future of his tribe, a strange wind blew over the village, a cold and mysterious breeze that seemed to carry something more than just air.

The eyes of the villagers, for no apparent reason, turned toward the sky.

A divinely beautiful man appeared before them, floating above the village with an overwhelming yet serene presence. His fiery red hair flowed in the wind, and his ice-blue eyes sparkled with the weight of destiny.

The aura around him made the very air vibrate, and time seemed to slow with his arrival.

The villagers stood still, fascinated yet fearful before the imposing figure that descended gently to the ground, as if a god were visiting mortals.

The elders whispered among themselves, believing he was a divine manifestation, while the children hid behind their mothers, curious yet timid.

Ankar, for his part, struggled to rise, his eyes wide with surprise.

Orion gently landed on the hard soil of the village, and as soon as his feet touched the ground, the surrounding environment seemed to change.

The trees around the village instantly blossomed, and the air, which had been thick with suffering, now felt revitalized.

The shine of his gaze swept over the small village, observing every detail, from the humble huts to the wary looks of the villagers.

Orion was searching for inhabitants for the empire after the Subsistema had guided him.

『DING』

『Eternal Empire Subsystem guides the host』

『Having new inhabitants in the newly created Empire』

"Are you the Kanar Tribe?" His voice was firm yet calm, resonating like distant thunder.

The villagers hesitated for a moment, but it was Ankar who stepped forward, his weak knees trembling before such a presence.

"Yes, we are the Kanar Tribe, sir... What does a being like you desire in such a humble and forgotten place as ours?" Ankar's voice was weak but respectful.

Orion walked towards the old leader, his steps echoing as if he were treading upon destiny itself.

He looked into Ankar's tired eyes, seeing the weight of years of suffering, the responsibility of keeping a tribe alive against all odds.

"I have seen the future of this tribe," Orion began, his voice heavy with something that mixed compassion and power. "I have seen the struggle, the pain, and the decay that you have faced for generations. And because of that, I have decided to intervene. I am building a new empire, a place where suffering will no longer exist, where those willing to follow a new path can prosper."

Ankar fell silent, absorbing those words as if they were a dream too distant to reach.

The other villagers, though skeptical, began to approach as well, drawn in by the promise of something greater.

"But... why us?" Ankar asked, his voice trembling with emotion. "We have nothing... just a history of defeats and humiliations."

Orion smiled, a smile that seemed to illuminate the entire environment. "Exactly for that reason. I am not looking for powerful or wealthy people. I seek those who understand the true meaning of fighting, of surviving. You are the perfect foundation for something grand. And I offer you a different future."

Those words struck each villager like a wave of hope. The silence that followed was filled with whispers and exchanged glances among the tribe members.

They knew that, even in their condition, this offer was an opportunity they would never have again.

Orion, sensing the doubt and shock in the eyes of the villagers, stepped forward and raised his hand towards the sky.

An intense glow surrounded him, and in the blink of an eye, the horizon distorted.

The mountain landscape was replaced by the grand vision of the empire he had built not long ago.

The luxurious houses, colossal libraries, and the golden Palace rose before them as witnesses to the promise Orion had made.

"This," said Orion, as the empire revealed itself before them, "is the place where you will prosper. An empire that will protect you, elevate you, and give you a purpose beyond what you have ever dreamed. You will be the first to inhabit these lands. Your descendants will become part of the foundation of this kingdom that will challenge the heavens and the stars."

Ankar, with tears in his eyes, fell to his knees upon seeing someone decide to help his people. "Sir, we do not deserve so much... but we will accept. We will accept wholeheartedly, and our tribe will be eternally grateful. Thank you."

Orion looked at the villagers, sensing the change in their hearts.

He knew that the Kanar Tribe was destined for great deeds under his protection.

"Prepare yourselves," he said with a nod of approval. "You will soon move to the new home that is waiting for you."

And so, the tribe that had once been humiliated and forgotten by the neighboring kingdoms was about to become the cornerstone of an empire destined to rule the heavens and eternity.

Under Orion's watchful eye, the fate of the Kanar Tribe would change forever.

---

A few days passed since Orion had appeared in the small village of the Kanar Tribe. The atmosphere had changed; hope, once scarce, now lingered in the air.

The villagers were excited, their daily activities performed with renewed energy. They no longer viewed the future with despair, but with enthusiasm.

The promise of a new beginning in the empire newly created by Orion awakened a strength within them that had previously been dormant.

---

That morning, the sky was clear, and the mountains surrounding the village seemed less imposing.

Orion stood in the center of the village, with Ankar by his side, watching the final preparations for the move.

The huts, once fragile and decaying, were being carefully dismantled.

The tribe was preparing to follow Orion, not just to a new place, but to a new destiny.

Orion looked around, observing the activity with care.

His ice-blue gaze captured every detail of the village and its inhabitants.

He felt the connection between those people and the ground they stood on, a deep bond with the land that would soon be broken.

With a simple wave of his hand, he released the souls of those who had lived and died in that land, honoring their ancestors before departing.

He approached one of the groups working to help dismantle one of the last huts. Several villagers, still surprised by Orion's presence among them, stopped to watch him.

It was unusual for such a powerful being to interact with such simple mortals, but Orion did not concern himself with such formalities.

"You have worked hard," Orion said in a warm tone, a contrast to his imposing appearance. "When you arrive at the empire, your journey will only be beginning."

A young villager, Rikan, stepped forward, his eyes shining with admiration. "Sir... is that place you showed us really everything it seems to be? A place where we will no longer be humiliated?"

Orion looked at Rikan and smiled slightly. "The empire will be what you make of it. I created it with power and purpose, but it is you, and those who come after, who will turn it into something great. You will be the first, the cornerstone. Your actions will define its future."

Rikan lowered his head, touched by the words.

He knew he was facing an opportunity that his ancestors had never had—the chance to rebuild their lives, to become part of something greater.

Orion moved away and walked back toward the large wooden gate marking the entrance of the village. The tribe leader, Ankar, followed closely behind.

When they reached the gate, Orion stopped and gazed at the horizon. His mind was elsewhere, already envisioning the future.

"Ankar," Orion spoke without turning. "You have led this tribe for many years. I know it has been difficult, but you have kept your people united. When we arrive at the empire, you will have a new role. Your leadership will not end; it will only transform."

Ankar, still surprised to be beside such a powerful being, gave a slight bow. "I am ready to serve, sir. In whatever way is needed."

Orion nodded. "Your role will be that of a counselor. In the empire, the Kanar will have a voice. You will represent your tribe and the citizens who come after, helping to guide the growth of our new home."

The tribe leader felt a wave of pride and responsibility. He had never imagined he would have such a grand opportunity. "It will be an honor," he replied with gratitude.

Orion then moved away again, his eyes fixed on the distant mountains. He knew that the true challenge was yet to come.

Building an empire was not just a matter of erecting buildings and palaces; it was necessary to shape the minds and hearts of those who would inhabit it.

At that moment, he made a gentle gesture, and the air around him began to glow.

A vast and magnificent golden portal formed before the entrance of the village.

Its edges radiated power, and a calming energy emanated from it, inviting the villagers to cross.

"It is time," Orion said loudly, his presence radiating a majestic calm. "Cross together. This is the beginning of a new life for each of you."

The villagers, still astonished by what they saw, began to approach the portal.

One by one, they looked at Orion, seeking courage before taking their first step.

Ankar was the first to enter, followed by the others.

Rikan, holding his younger sister's hand, crossed the portal with a determined look.

When the last villager entered, Orion was left alone in the empty village.

He took one last look around, as if bidding farewell to that piece of history.

Then, with a simple wave of his hand, the portal closed behind him as he walked toward the empire, the Empire of Eryndor.

Now, the Kanar had a new home, a new life.
