Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Classes at Eryndor Academy 2
"Lost in thought again, Jhon?" Selene spoke in a soft voice that seemed to echo like a heavenly melody as she sat elegantly across from him.
Jhon, slightly surprised that he hadn't noticed her before, looked up and smiled slightly. "These students… They are brilliant, but the Dao of Reincarnation and Death is not something that is taught easily. I fear that some of them are not prepared."
Selene smiled slightly, her eyes shining with understanding. "True understanding of the Dao comes with experience, Jhon. All we can do is guide them, give them the tools, and hope that when the time is right, they will be ready to embrace the cycle."
She placed the book on the table, sliding it toward Jhon. "But perhaps this will help you. It contains some forgotten techniques about the Daos that may be useful to those who are ready to take the next step."
John looked at the book, intrigued. He knew that the contents of the books in this section were not for the common eyes, and if Selene had brought it, it meant that something great was about to be revealed.
He nodded slowly, opening the book carefully. The pages were filled with complex symbols and diagrams, which pulsed with an ancient energy.
"Thank you, Selene," he said with a grateful smile after casually reading a few pages. "This will make all the difference."
She nodded gently and stood up, with a graceful movement. "We will see you in class, John. And remember, the students may not be ready now, but their path is just beginning."
As Selene left the room, John felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders increase. The fate of those young people was in his hands, and with the power he had, he would need to guide them carefully so that they would not fall into the traps of the eternal cycle of reincarnation.
He looked at the book once more, feeling the energy flow from its pages.
---
Selene Aetheris walked serenely through the corridors of Eryndor Academy, her soft footsteps echoing lightly on the polished marble floor.
The silver and light green silk dress that wrapped around her body seemed to float around her, with each thread radiating a subtle, almost celestial light.
The dress, adorned with floral patterns that seemed alive, highlighted her divine figure, making her look like a saint descended to earth. Her beauty was simply incomparable, but it was the wisdom that she carried in her eyes that truly impressed those who saw her.
Today, she would teach the most advanced class of students, those between the ages of 16 and 18, and the content would be something that few had even understood in their immortal lives: the Dao of Creation and the Dao of Life.
As she entered the classroom, a light, fragrant breeze followed Selene.
The room was silent, with dozens of young cultivators already waiting anxiously. Many of them were already waiting to learn more about the ways of the Daos, but the gleam in their eyes revealed just how grand today's class would be.
Only a select group of people in all of creation could approach the profound concepts of the Daos of Creation and Life, and Selene was one of the few who mastered both arts.
Selene moved her hand gently, and an invisible energy field covered the room, silencing any outside distractions.
She positioned herself at the front, her eyes scanning each of the students before beginning.
"Today," she began, her voice calm but authoritative, "we will delve into the mysteries of the Dao of Creation and the Dao of Life. These are the fundamental pillars of all existence, and complete mastery of these forces elevates a cultivator to something more than simply immortal. He becomes the architect of reality itself."
Selene's words resonated deeply within each student's mind. Even before she continued, they knew that what she was about to teach was more than just technique. It was the essence of existence itself.
She raised a hand, and with a simple gesture, the energy around it began to solidify.
Before their eyes, a sphere of gold and blue energy was formed in the air.
"This," she explained, "is the essence of Creation. In the Dao of Creation, everything in between—matter, energy, life, time, and space—is formed from the void. But the true difficulty of the Dao lies not in simply creating, but in understanding the endless cycle of construction and dissolution."
She manipulated the sphere before the students' eyes, causing it to expand and divide into infinite particles, which then began to recombine into new forms. Small worlds, continents, mountains, and rivers took shape within the sphere, all being born and dying in rapid cycles.
"What you see here is the basic cycle of Creation and Destruction. At first, each cultivator learns to create, but without deep understanding, what they create is unstable, fleeting. To master the Dao of Creation is to understand that everything that is built must also have its ruin, and that there is no Creation without Destruction."
She paused, letting the concept sink in.
"But," Clara continued, "to create is not simply to shape forms. It is to infuse them with life, soul, purpose. That is where the Dao of Life comes in."
She moved her other hand, and beside the sphere of Creation, a white flower began to sprout in the air, as if growing from an invisible field. The flower bloomed before them, its essence radiating a vibrant energy.
"This flower is not just a creation," Clara said, her green eyes shining brightly. "It is alive. Through the Dao of Life, we do not simply create objects, but bring them to life, connecting them to the cycle of existence. The Dao of Life transcends mere creation; it brings balance and perpetuity to what is create
One of the students, fascinated, raised his hand. "Teacher Selene, how can one truly attain the Dao of Life? It seems… unattainable for mortals or even immortals."
Selene smiled softly. "The Dao of Life requires not only power, but also a deep understanding of what it means to exist. To master the Dao of Life, you must understand the cycle of life energy that flows through everything. This means understanding not only birth, but also death and rebirth."
She pointed at the flower. "It appears perfect, but it is also destined to wither. However, through the Dao of Life, we can restore it, and even more, transform it. Life itself is malleable. A cultivator who masters the Dao of Life can heal that which is dying, or accelerate the evolution of an entire race."
She closed her eyes for a moment, and the flower she had created began to transform. Its petals turned golden, and a brilliant energy radiated from its roots. The flower was not only reborn, but had risen to a purer, more powerful form.
"This is the Cycle of Evolution. The Dao of Life does not merely maintain life as it is. It allows you to transcend it. The Dao of Life and the Dao of Creation are complementary; while the Dao of Creation offers birth, the Dao of Life gives eternal transformation."
The students were mesmerized, absorbing every word. Selene could see that many were on the threshold of understanding these profound concepts, but lacked the power and experience to fully apply them.
Then with a gesture, both the sphere of Creation and the flower of Life vanished into thin air.
"Now," she said, her voice serious, "I want each of you to try to feel the flow of Creation and Life in your own bodies. Do not try to force it. Just allow the energy around you to guide you."
The atmosphere in the classroom changed.
A deep silence fell, and each student closed their eyes, trying to connect with the profound principles Selene had demonstrated. The air around them began to vibrate with the spiritual energy of their efforts.
Selene watched closely, seeing which students were beginning to grasp the subtle nuances of the Daos. She knew the road would be long, but with effort and understanding, these young cultivators could one day rise to the highest levels of power and perhaps even attain the true essence of the Dao of Creation and the Dao of Life.
"The Dao of Creation," Selene continued, "is not simply about bringing something into existence. Creation is also the art of maintaining balance, and understanding that what is created can eventually transform or dissolve. This is the foundation for you to begin cultivating the Small Entry Stage."
Selene paused, watching the students, many of whom were already immersed in their practice, trying to comprehend what she was saying.
"Now as you practice, we will talk about the Cultivation Stage. Each stage is divided into four sub-levels: Beginning, Middle, Peak, and Perfection, and just like the moment you begin to cultivate until you ascend to the top of the Aeternum World, there is Beginning, Middle, Peak, and Perfection, the peak being Great Celestial Emperor and Perfection being Quasi-Immortal. At each level, the cultivator must achieve a deeper connection with the Daos that governs it, in addition to expanding their perception and spiritual power, and at Quasi-Immortal, know themselves in order to begin to leave their mortal side behind and achieve what they know as immortal."
She approached the students, her presence filling the room with a sense of security and confidence.
"On your journey, the cultivator must focus on absorbing knowledge. You will begin to realize that true power lies not only in physical strength or the ability to manipulate Qi, but in the deep understanding of the laws that govern the universe. You must study the Dao and understand how these concepts are interconnected with your own being."
Selene raised her hand again, and the sphere of light expanded, revealing an intricate web of energetic threads connecting everything in their minds. "At this stage, the key is to understand that knowledge is the first step to wisdom. You will begin to see the world with new eyes."
"The Mid-level," she continued, "is where true cultivation begins. Here, you learn not only to observe, but to influence. It will allow you to shape small parts of the reality around you as you continue to advance in cultivation. You will be able to create and undo simple skills."
She pointed to a student. "Try imagining creating something…something small."
The student hesitated, but opened his eyes and concentrated. Soon, a small flame appeared in the palm of his hand. It was not perfect, but it existed.
Selene smiled gently. "This flame is your first interaction with the Dao of flame. Now, through meditation and practice, you must seek to refine your understanding of the Dao."
"At the highest level," she said, her voice now more serious, "you will begin to truly manipulate the energies of your Daos on a larger scale. Here, the laws of the world will begin to bend to your will, and you will find that you can shape the world in a more profound way. Not only create objects, but also influence the world around you."
Selene moved her hands again, and the sphere of light in the center of the room transformed into a magnificent tree. Its branches seemed to touch the ceiling of the room, and its life energy radiated a primordial force.
"The tree you see here," she explained, "is not just my creation. It is alive, and its roots extend through the fabric of reality. At this stage, you begin to experience what it means to bring true life to what you create with the Dao of Creation and the Dao of Life. You will be able to heal serious wounds, manipulate the life energy of living beings, and even accelerate the growth of plants or beings."
