One Piece - Life Choice Ask Me to Kiss Marine Goddes Hina

Chapter 143: 143 Captain John Treasure

Kaido and Big Mom closed in on Silver Ax with menacing looks.

Back on Rocks' ship, Silver Ax had a reputation for bullying newcomers, and Kaido, as a young intern, would've been one of his targets if Big Mom hadn't stepped in.

Kaido had never forgotten those old grudges. Now, seeing Silver Ax again, he was ready for payback.

"Linlin, Kaido, if you're not afraid of losing John's treasure, go ahead and chase me," Silver Ax sneered, hefting his massive ax as he walked away.

Kaido growled, "You're right. Keep your head for now—I'll get that head later!"

Both Big Mom and Kaido knew they could deal with Silver Ax any time. Right now, the priority was securing Captain John's treasure.

"Holy crap, why is there a Marine here?!" a pirate shouted in panic.

Although Lynch was well hidden, Lynch's Marine uniform had given him away. Among tens of thousands of pirates, he was the only one who clearly didn't belong.

Lynch gave the pirate a calm, almost approving glance. "Congratulations, I'll reward you with a quick death."

Now that his cover was blown, Lynch saw no reason to stay hidden. With the eyes of terrified pirates on him, he casually pulled out his sword, Demon Cutter, from behind his back.

"One-sword style: Moonlight Sonata!"

A crescent-shaped slash of light radiated from Lynch's sword, cutting through the crowd. Hundreds of pirates fell before they even had a chance to react.

The notifications flooded in as the area around Lynch became a graveyard of fallen pirates. In mere moments, the once-crowded space turned into a lifeless zone, with the few survivors too terrified to move.

"It's Admiral Sun Candle Lynch!"

"Why is he here?! The pirate nemesis himself!" someone shouted, their voice trembling as panic spread through the crowd.

Everyone knew what Lynch's arrival meant—when his Conqueror's Haki was unleashed, it was anyone's guess how many pirates would still be standing.

Tens of thousands of pirates felt cornered, not by an army, but by a single man. Fear gripped their hearts as if the entire sea was drowning them.

"Don't be afraid, we have a lot of great pirates here, he's the one who died!"

Someone howled, giving a lot of encouragement to the other pirates.

"Yeah, even if all four Admirals came, it wouldn't matter!"

"Guruararara~ Lynch, kid, better leave now. No need to throw your life away."

It was Whitebeard's first time meeting Lynch face-to-face. Because of Lynch's involvement on Fish-Man Island, Whitebeard had a positive impression of him despite the tension in the air.

"Ouch~ Whitebeard, old man, better worry about yourself first," Kaido grunted as he charged through the woods, mace slung over his shoulder.

He glanced at Lynch and added, "I'll let you go today, but stay out of my way!"

"Well, well, well~" Big Mom added on the side,

"Lynch is my son-in-law now, Kaido. Don't even think about touching him."

Kaido shot a surprised look at Big Mom, as if to say: You've changed, Linlin. You're not the sweet girl who used to back me up.

"Ahem." Lynch cleared his throat, feeling a bit awkward meeting his mother-in-law for the first time. But the thought of eventually defeating her gave him a sudden boost of energy.

Ochoku and Silver Ax said nothing, only giving Lynch a quick glance before continuing on their way.

Deep down, they hoped Kaido and the others would engage Lynch, making it easier for them to claim Captain John's treasure for themselves.

Compared to the legendary treasure, all past grudges could be set aside for now. The island was small, so it didn't take long for everyone to reach its center.

"This... this... nature created something so incredible?!"

Everyone stood in awe before a large lake in the middle of the island, marveling at the breathtaking sight before them.

The ground in the center of the lake split open like two gates, parting the water that never flowed back.

Through the 100-meter-long gap, everyone could see a natural cave filled with treasures as vast as gold.

"The legendary treasure of Captain John is real!" the pirates exclaimed, filled with excitement.

"Captain John was truly a genius. How did he find this place?"

"No matter what, brothers, charge forward!"

"Grab the treasure! Steal the gold! Get the Devil Fruits!"

As the scene around the lake stabilized, countless pirates jumped into the gaps at the bottom of the lake.

"Woorororo~ Little ones, just follow me!"

Kaido laughed loudly and jumped down first, with Jack following. Big Mom and Ochoku soon followed. After checking for traps, Whitebeard and Silver Ax jumped in as well.

"Man died for money, and birds died for food; that's all the world has to offer." Lynch took the Demon Cutter and jumped down.

"There are so many treasures; no one can steal them from me."

"Everything is mine, hahahaha!"

"Bastard! There are so many treasures down there—why are you trying to rob them from me? Do you know I cuckolded your wife?"

"What? You bastard!"

The distance from the bottom of the lake to the cave below is 100 meters, so only those with skills can jump down safely.

The cave is so huge. When Lynch landed, he was amazed to see more than 20 golden mountains, each nearly 100 meters high.

As he looked around, he estimated that there were hundreds of twenty-story gold bricks stacked before him.

It was his first time seeing such a vast collection of treasures piled together, and he had to look up, nearly blinded by the brightness.

Lynch thought to himself that the total income of the World Government in ten years might not even compare to this amount.

Is this the power of Captain John, who inherited most of the legacy of the Rocks Pirates?

Lynch was shocked, and the other pirates were equally stunned.

They had never dared to imagine they would find so many treasures. Now, they rushed to grab them like dogs after a meal or wolves after meat.

"Hahaha! I'm getting rich! Once I finish this big job, I'm going back home to retire!"

"Damn it! If I had known there were so many treasures here, I would have brought a bag!"

"Hiss~ There's also a Devil Fruit!"

The treasure was so abundant that no one could carry it all without help. Some even discarded their weapons to make room for more loot.

Tension filled the air again until someone pulled a Devil Fruit from the pile of treasure.

"Paramecia·Fart Fruit."

Lynch recognized the fruit but only glanced at it before looking elsewhere. It was far too useless. According to the fruit illustrated book, its only attack was emitting rainbow-colored farts.

What a waste!

"Don't come any closer! Look, I've already eaten the Devil Fruit!"

Facing the hungry stares of others, the pirate panicked, gritted his teeth, and swallowed the fruit in one gulp. "Ugh~ It tastes terrible!"

Without an illustrated book for Devil Fruits, the pirates were taking a gamble.

Eating a Devil Fruit was like opening a blind box; they had no idea what abilities they might gain.
