Chapter 113: 113 Marines Hospital, Zephyr
Zephyr had trained some of the most powerful Marines, including the current Admirals: Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and the new Admiral, Sun Candle
As well as a lot of Vice Admirals, they are all his disciples.
From this point of view, Zephyr is very proud.
Looking at the disciples he trained, Zephyr seemed to have found hope again.
However, fate seemed unwilling to spare Zephyr.
At 66, he was attacked by pirates, and all his students—except for two—were killed.
His right arm was severed, leaving him devastated. Once again, Zephyr's lifelong beliefs were shaken to their core
"Teacher Zephyr..."
Lynch looked at the much older man and, for a moment, was lost for words.
Offering condolences or advice would only feel like twisting the knife further into the heart of someone already so broken.
"Don't feel sorry for me, come and sit," Zephyr said, patting the spot beside the bed with his remaining arm.
Lynch gently helped him sit down. "I'll help you get revenge."
Zephyr covered his broken arm, eyes distant with memories. "No need. I'm not so old that I need my disciples to fight my battles. I'll handle it myself."
Lynch nodded. "Alright, it's up to you."
Lynch followed Zephyr's words, took the water glass nearby.
Without warning, he made a swift cut on his wrist, and crystal-clear blood flowed out, startling Zephyr.
This young man!
But Zephyr didn't ask any questions. He knew Lynch well enough to trust there was a reason behind his actions.
Before much blood could flow, the wound healed on its own. Lynch repeated the process several times until a third of the cup was filled.
"Teacher Zephyr, trust me and drink this," Lynch said with a hint of a smile, planning to surprise him.
"You brat," Zephyr muttered, forcing a smile. He took the glass and drank it all in one gulp.
"Something's off! This blood..." Zephyr frowned.
The next moment,
BOOM!
A surge of warmth coursed through his body as the blood spread, energizing his limbs and bones.
Zephyr was shocked by the changes in his body. He suddenly felt strong enough to leave the hospital.
Grabbing a nearby mirror, he noticed his complexion had improved, and the wrinkles around his eyes had faded. It didn't look like he'd just been through a major injury.
"Lynch..."
Before Zephyr had a chance to speak from the feeling of strength returning to his body, a strange itching sensation came from his right arm. His expression shifted as he quickly tore off the bandages.
To his shock, the arm was regenerating at very fast speed—first the bones, then the muscles, and finally the skin
Zephyr was very shocked by the new arm.
For someone of his expertise, if the regenerated arm were as fragile as a normal person's, it might have been better not to regenerate it at all. But the new arm felt just as strong and functional as the original.
Filled with excitement, Zephyr realized he could now better execute the plans he had been considering.
"Lynch, thank you."
"Mr. Zephyr, you're joking. I wouldn't be where I am today without you."
"Alright, you don't need to stay with an old man like me. When you have time, visit your junior sisters and brothers next door. They're your fans." Zephyr said as he prepared to leave the hospital.
Now that he was well, Zephyr couldn't wait to leave the hospital and get back to fighting pirates.
From today on, don't even think about a single pirate leaving his hands alive!
He would make sure no pirate got away, and he would only let them go if he was blind!
Just as Lynch was about to leave, Zephyr suddenly stopped him.
"I've always believed you could become an excellent Marine," Zephyr said, watching Lynch with relief.
"Thank you, Mr. Zephyr. I believe so too," Lynch replied with a grin as he left the room.
He then knocked on the door of the next ward. "Can I come in?"
"Please wait a moment," a soft female voice replied from inside the room.
Moments later, Lynch saw a beautiful girl with a cane, limping over to open the door.
The girl was a beautiful young woman with long, ocean-blue wavy hair, wearing a purple tank top and black shorts.
Her right leg was wrapped in a thick bandage.
"You must be Ain. I've often heard Teacher Zephyr talk about you," Lynch said with a smile, gently patting her head.
"Ad… Admiral Sun Candle!?" Ain's face flushed red with surprise.
"What are you doing here?"
"Am I not welcome?" Lynch asked with a smile.
"No, no, that's not it! Please, come in quickly," Ain replied hurriedly, her face lighting up like a fan meeting their idol.
Ain's Devil Fruit is the Regression Fruit, which has the unique ability to make a person's body regress by twelve years.
Another rule based ability, similar to Sugar Hobby-Hobby or Childlike Fruit, is incredibly powerful.
If used on Whitebeard during the Summit War, a 12-year-younger Whitebeard might have saved Ace.
Since graduating from the elite camp last year, Ain has been working with Zephyr.
"Admiral Sun Candle, is it Admiral Sun Candle!"
Only then did Lynch notice that there was a mummy lying on a bed in the room.
"Are you, Binz?"
Looking at the guy in front of him who was wrapped in bandages with only his eyes exposed, Lynch was really unsure.
"Woooo~ I'm so touched that my idol recognizes me," Binz said, clearly moved. "Admiral Sun Candle, please sign for me!"
"Sure,"
As Lynch took out the pen and prepared to ask where to sign, Binz wiggled over like a caterpillar.
"Please sign it on the bandage," Binz requested.
Lynch signed the bandage with his name.
Due to being too excited, he fainted from his injury.
"Is he okay?" Lynch asked, concerned.
"He's fine," Ain reassured him. "Binz ate Paramecia Grow-Grow Fruit, so he's very resilient."
Ain then stood in front of Lynch, her face blushing with excitement. She was so thrilled that she didn't know what to say, looking like an eager fan.
She couldn't believe it—Admiral Sun Candle, Lynch had really come to see her!
"Can you show me your legs?" Lynch asked, pointing to Ain's snow-white thighs.
He remembered that Ain would have an ugly scar on her thigh in the future, and he suspected it might be from this time.
"Ah?!"
Lynch's words caused Ain's brain to shut down.
Does Mr. Lynch really want to see her legs?
Could it be that he likes her?
Ain's head is about to smoke. Should things be moving this quickly?
Even if she didn't object
If Mr. Lynch confesses his love to her later, should she agree, or should she agree tactfully?
