One Piece - Life Choice Ask Me to Kiss Marine Goddes Hina

Chapter 112: 112 Beat Up The Future Pirate King, Sad News

"What are you going to do? Let me go!" Ace struggled fiercely.

"And me too! Let me go!" Luffy swung his arm and hit Lynch's face weakly.

"Hehe." Lynch smiled mischievously, and the two kids sensed something was wrong.

"Ah~ stop hitting me! Ace, save me!"

"Why does your hit feel like Grandpa? It hurts so much."

Luffy was pinned to the ground, with Lynch rubbing his knuckles on his head, leaving a few big bumps.

Luffy is a rubber man who has eaten Rubber Fruit and cannot feel pain from a blunt weapon or a normal punch.

Ace is nearly 15 years old this year and has a strong self-esteem. Lynch only punched him twice and threw him aside.

When it came to being hit, Luffy actually felt better, like rubber—much more resilient than a sandbag.

Ace rubbed the bump on his head, grinning as he jumped up into a tree. He gave Luffy a helpless look, as if saying, 'What did we get ourselves into?'

He also saw that the man had no ill intentions towards them, he just had a problem with them wanting to become pirate kings, and he probably had something to do with old man Garp.

The worst Luffy could get was a beating, but nothing too serious.

Still, Ace couldn't help but think, This guy's punches really hurt.

Ace, who once got bitten by a tiger without shedding a tear, was now forced to cry after just two punches.

"Uncle, if you don't stop, I'll fight back!"

"Gomu Gomu...!"

Luffy's arms stretched out, but instead of landing a punch, he ended up hanging himself from a tree.

"Smart enough to hang yourself up for a beating," Lynch chuckled.

Luffy: "..."

Ace facepalmed, shaking his head in embarrassment. 'Seriously, you even managed to tie yourself to a tree…'

"It hurts so much! Ace, help!!!"

Luffy cried out, his head swelling like he'd been stung by bees.

Though it looked bad, with Luffy's rubbery body, he'd be fine after a nap.

"Tell me again, what kind of king do you want to be?"

Lynch asked as he stretched Luffy like noodles, tying him to a tree like a rubber band.

With no fear, Luffy lifted his head and shouted, "I am the man who wants to become the Pirate King!"

"Uncle, please stop hitting me. I'll be your vice-captain!" Luffy pleaded.

"You a**hole! Become the Marine King instead!"

Lynch yelled, feeling like Garp as his blood pressure rising dealing with the stubborn Luffy.

Poor Garp—his son became a fugitive, and now his grandson was swayed by that red-haired pirate.

He wonders if Garp will leave a slipper mark on Luffy's face later.

Probably not—after all, Luffy is his eldest grandson and dear to his heart.

Luffy, completely stubborn, refused to change his mind, no matter how much he was beaten or scolded. He was truly determined on becoming the Pirate King.

"Idiot, why don't you just change your story and trick him away first?"

Ace said, frustrated with his brother's stubbornness.

Bandit Dadan, who had been watching the scene from behind the door, was heartbroken.

Having watched the two children grow up as if they were her own, she couldn't bear to see them being beaten and rushed forward in distress.

"If you want to fight, come and fight me! I'm the one who wants to become the Bandit King!"

The bandit brothers, who had failed to capture the boss, were disheartened.

They wondered if she really thought every Marine was like Garp.

"What kind of king do you think you're going to be?" Lynch asked, turning around.

Having just defeated a bandit king earlier, he was now facing another one.

"No, no, you heard wrong,"

Dadan quickly said, meeting Lynch's gaze with fear. She forced a smile and added, "I meant that kid is tough and doesn't give up easily. Feel free to beat him as much as you need, but remember to take a break and rest before you continue."

Luffy: "..."

Ace: "..."

"If I can't get these two troublemakers to change. I'll leave it to Garp to deal with them," Lynch said.

"Uncle, do you know my grandfather?" Luffy asked, confused.

"We know each other," Lynch said, as he untied Luffy.

He took out a large piece of Sea King meat from his storage ring and threw it to Dadan.

"Help these kids get their strength back."

"I'll go. There's no need to see me off."

With his goal accomplished, Lynch left Foosha Village without staying longer.

"Meat!"

Luffy's eyes lit up, and his pain seemed to just disappear as he rushed at the Sea King meat with a drooling mouth.

He suddenly thought that trading a beating for a meal of meat wasn't such a bad deal.

While Lynch was in mid-air, he received a call from Garp.

"Lynch, if you have time, come back."

Garp's voice sounded unusually low, with a hint of anger.

"What's wrong?"

"Zephyr... his arm was cut off by a pirate."

"I understand. I'll be back immediately."

After hanging up the Den-Den Mushi, Lynch looked gloomy and uncertain.

To say who in Marine helped him the most, it was Zephyr. It would not be an exaggeration to say that he was his mentor.

He recalled that Zephyr's arm was cut off in 1513 and had sent people to keep an eye on him.

But now it was Sea Circle Calendar 1514.

Could he have remembered wrong?

No, he was sure of it. Maybe Zephyr's arm was simply destined to be lost.

It's not that Lynch was thinking about conspiracy theories, it was just too much of a coincidence.

Zephyr's broken arm, who benefits from this?...

Pirates? World government? Or Five Elders?

Marine Headquarters.

"Dong dong dong—"

"Teacher Zephyr, can I come in?"

After asking at the nurse's station, Lynch knocked on the door.

"It's Lynch, come in."

"Teacher Zephyr."

Zephyr looked much different from before. He was thinner and had more white hair.

His right arm was missing and covered in thick bandages.

Before Lynch entered, Zephyr was staring blankly out the window toward the Marine training camp.

He hadn't slept in days and, whenever he closed his eyes, he saw images of his students dying in front of him.

His broken arm seemed insignificant compared to their loss.

These days, Zephyr thinks back on his life, and scenes from the past flood into his mind.

Joined Marine Corps at the age of 14.

Participated in actual combat at the age of 18.

Promoted to captain at the age of 28.

At the age of 34, he stood out from the Marine with his armament haki and won the title of "Black Arm".

Zephyr became a Marine Admiral at age 38, known as the "No-Kill Admiral" for his refusal to kill pirates.

That same year, he got married and had a child the following year, reaching the peak of his life.

Just when Zephyr thought that the rest of his life would be a happy one, he opened a tragic beginning.

By the time he was 42 years old, Zephyr's entire family had been slaughtered by pirates in an act of revenge.

His wife died at the hands of the pirates he spared during his career, and even his young son was not spared.

At this moment, Zephyr was shaken by the faith he had held on to throughout his life.

He wondered if kindness towards pirates was truly the right approach.

From then on, he abandoned his merciful stance and no longer showed pirates any mercy.

After his family was killed, Zephyr felt both physically and mentally exhausted. Unable to continue as Admiral, he chose to step down.

Despite his discouragement, he stayed with the Marine and became an Instructor, training new generations of Marines.
