"Hehehehe~ What is a giant compared to my intellect? They'll fall obediently before me," Mr. 3 sneered as his hair ignited, and his arms began to melt, turning into wax.

"If you two are so eager to decide a victor, I'll help you. After I deal with you, it'll be that brat Ace's turn," he said slyly, preparing to trip Dorry with the molten wax.

But suddenly, a series of sharp sounds pierced the air.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Several invisible slashes appeared out of nowhere.

"Tempest Kick!"

"What?!"

Mr. 3 narrowly dodged, but his right arm was grazed by one of the slashes. He winced in pain, clutching the wound.

"Who's there?!"

Mr. 3 shouted angrily, scanning the forest, only to see Kaya step out from the trees, her face firm and determined.

This man is targeting Ace, she thought.

"Kaya..." Nami muttered as she gritted her teeth, stepping forward with her Clima-Tact in hand.

"Oh? So, you're the girls under that brat Ace, huh?" Mr. 3 scoffed, noticing the Entei Pirate flag tattooed on Nami's arm. He didn't seem to take them seriously at all.

"It's Portgas D. Ace!" Kaya corrected him, her expression unyielding.

"Well, before I deal with that brat, I guess I'll have some fun with his appetizers!" Mr. 3 smirked, as his arms morphed into wax and launched toward them.

"Whoosh!"

In an instant, Kaya grabbed Nami and dodged, reappearing right in front of Mr. 3.

"Impossible!"

Kaya slowly extended her index finger, her mind recalling Ace's guidance.

"Kaya, this technique is known as the Six Styles of Marines," Ace had explained to her once. "Your medical knowledge allows you to control your muscles perfectly, and you know how to target vital points. Plus, your Healing Fruit will allow you to recover from any damage you inflict on yourself while using this technique. It's perfect for you. My only concern is..."

"What?" Kaya had asked back then.

"You're too kind-hearted to use lethal techniques on enemies."

But now, Kaya's resolve was unshakable. For Ace, she can do anything!

"Finger Pistol!" she called out as her index finger hardened like iron. With precise control, she struck Mr. 3's shoulder, sending him reeling backward.

"Agh!!!" Mr. 3 screamed in agony as his arms fell limp, completely immobilized.

"Mr. 3!" Miss Golden Week cried out, quickly reaching for her emotional paints.

"Y-you!" Mr. 3's movements grew frantic as he struggled in vain.

Suddenly, a thunderous roar erupted above them.

"What's that noise?!" Miss Golden Week looked up in terror to see a massive thundercloud forming.

"Bad kids need a little discipline," Nami smirked, raising her Clima-Tact toward the sky.

"Thunderstorm!"

"Boom!"

A powerful bolt of lightning struck Miss Golden Week, and she fell to the ground, unconscious, smoke rising from her body.

"Miss Golden Week!" Mr. 3 screamed in despair. He could do nothing as the battle slipped from his grasp.

"You...you underestimated us," Nami said, pointing her staff at him.

Kaya stepped forward, her expression calm but resolute. "I've severed the nerves in your arms. You won't be able to move them again," she explained.

Mr. 3's face turned pale as the realization sank in. "W-what...?" His voice trembled.

"It's useless. You can't run away," Nami added, her tone firm. She scanned the forest with her Observation Haki, sensing Ace's presence in the distance.

"Ace taught me this technique. It's powerful, isn't it?" Kaya smiled sweetly, but there was a deadly edge to her words.

"Let's bring these two back to Ace," Nami said after a moment, turning toward the candle hut up ahead. "But before that..."

With a devilish smile, Nami looked at Mr. 3, who was trying to turn his feet into wax to sneak away.

"Wait, what are you going to do?! Agh!!!" Mr. 3 screamed as his legs gave way, his escape thwarted.

——

"Ace, this... is a candle house?" Vivi exclaimed, startled by the unusual structure in front of them.

"Yup." Ace casually opened the door and walked inside.

Suddenly, the phone on the desk began to ring.

"Bruuu~ Bruuu~ Bruuu~ Bruuu!"

Ace picked it up, unfazed.

"Hey, Mr. 3, why are you taking so long to answer? Is the mission done yet? After you kill the brat, get the Eternal Pose from Mr. 13 and return immediately."

Vivi froze upon hearing the ominous voice on the other end of the line. She knew that voice all too well.

"Crocodile!" she gasped.

Ace leaned back in his chair, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Who are you?!" Crocodile's voice grew cold, realizing that something was off.

"Portgas D. Ace."

Ace grinned, his voice carrying a faint smile.

On the other end of the transponder snail, Crocodile clenched his fist, and a rose in his hand crumbled into dust.

"Hahaha! So Mr. 3 has failed me. Did you kill him, along with Mr. 5?" Crocodile let out a dark, ominous laugh.

"Kill them? No, no, no," Ace's smile deepened as he stretched his legs and rested them casually on the table. "They never even got the chance to see me before my lovely crew dealt with them."

"Creak~"

"Nami? Kaya? Nojiko? Tashigi?" Vivi exclaimed in surprise as she saw the four women emerge from outside the candle house.

At their feet lay several defeated Baroque Works agents.

"Mr. 3, Miss Golden Week, Mr. 5, Miss Valentine?!" Vivi gasped, covering her mouth in disbelief.

Crocodile's face twitched and darkened at Ace's words and Vivi's exclamation from the background. They didn't even see his face? And got defeated by a group of little girls!? A bunch of useless trash!

"Crocodile, I'll make sure to prepare a grand funeral for you." Ace smiled coldly, his voice calm.

"You—"

Clang!

Before Crocodile could finish his roar, Ace abruptly hung up the phone.

"As expected of my lovely crew." Ace glanced over at Nami, Kaya, Nojiko, and the defeated Baroque Works agents beneath them, smiling with satisfaction. These small fries didn't even warrant him lifting a finger—his crew handled everything perfectly.

Hearing Ace's praise, Kaya, Nami, and Nojiko smiled warmly.

"Were they really defeated by you? This is... unbelievable," Vivi murmured, still in shock. These Baroque Works agents were notorious for their strength, yet Nami and the others had defeated them so easily.

They've become so strong, Vivi thought to herself, her eyes subconsciously drifting toward Ace. The secrets to their power clearly lay with him.

"Um?"

Ace's gaze shifted toward the unlucky pair of Baroque agents who were trying to sneak away.

"Bang! Bang!"

Two gunshots echoed, and the unlucky duo collapsed instantly.

"Phew!" Nojiko lowered her smoking gun with a smirk. "Captain, I couldn't let them get away."

"Good work. A permanent pointer to Alabasta should be on them, Vivi. Go check," Ace said with a grin.

"Oh, right!" Vivi hurried over, her face lighting up as she found the permanent pointer on one of the agents. "We don't have to stay here for a year!" Tears welled up in her eyes as relief washed over her.

"That's great, Vivi." Nami hugged her, smiling brightly.

"Yes!" Vivi nodded, her face filled with joy.

"Ace, what should we do with these guys?" Nojiko asked, pointing to the unconscious agents on the ground.

"Three Devil Fruit users..." Ace mused, glancing at Mr. 3, Mr. 5, and Miss Valentine, a strange smile playing on his lips.

Crack!

Ace pulled out three apples from the tray next to the den-den mushi and tossed them toward the unconscious agents.

"Kill them, Nojiko," Ace said without hesitation.

Nojiko, showing no reluctance, raised her gun and shot each of the three unconscious figures, ending them swiftly.

Nami, Kaya, and Vivi exchanged glances but remained silent. Their kind hearts had no room for mercy toward enemies who threatened Ace.

"And now..." Ace's eyes narrowed as he focused on the three dead bodies and the apples, surrounding them with his domain of understanding.

As he expected, a line of text appeared in his mind: "You made three apples heaven-defying, and the demonic element was attracted to them."

Ace's lips curled into a satisfied smile. The experiment had succeeded.

"Gulu! Guru! Guru!"

"!!!"

Under the stunned gazes of the girls, the three apples began to change, rapidly transforming into fruits with mysterious swirling patterns.

"Devil... Devil Fruits?!" Nami and Kaya gasped simultaneously. Kaya, who had already eaten a healing Devil Fruit, recognized the transformation immediately.

"Devil Fruits?!" Nojiko, Vivi, and Tashigi's eyes also widened in shock.

"Yes, these are Devil Fruits—the Explosive Fruit, the Light Light Fruit, and the Wax-Wax Fruit," Ace explained with a nod.

"Their Devil Fruits...?" The girls looked at each other in amazement.

"That's right. I extracted their Devil Fruits using these apples," Ace continued with a grin.

"Nami, I'm giving these three Devil Fruits to you," Ace said, turning toward her.

"Huh? But I can only eat one," Nami responded, confused.

"They're not for you to eat—they're for you to sell." Ace shook his head with a helpless chuckle. He couldn't believe Nami, who usually became excited at the sight of money, hadn't immediately caught on.

"Sell them?!" Nami and the others exclaimed in shock.

"Ace, won't eating a Devil Fruit make us much stronger? Nami and the others haven't eaten one yet," Nojiko asked thoughtfully. She wasn't in a rush herself, since her strength was already focused on sniping, but she wondered if Devil Fruits would boost her comrades' abilities.

"These are just ordinary Devil Fruits," Ace explained. "They're not worth it for you. I'll find you something more suitable."

Ace smiled reassuringly, continuing, "The idea that 'there's no strongest Devil Fruit, only the strongest user' is a lie for children. Whitebeard's Tremor-Tremor Fruit, developed to its peak, has the power to destroy the world. Kaido's Mythical Zoan Fruit gives him power beyond mythic itself. But what could you do with something that didn't suit you?"

Ace shook his head. "You have to be careful with Devil Fruits. These ones aren't worthy of my lovely crew."

Vivi was speechless. Devil Fruits, the treasure of the seas, were so precious, and yet Ace treated obtaining them as casually as eating or drinking. Watching the three Devil Fruits sitting quietly before them, Vivi could only smile wryly.

"Devil Fruit... Devil Fruit!" Suddenly, Nami's eyes lit up, and she rushed over to the three fruits, practically seeing them turn into piles of money. Her eyes gleamed like Beli symbols.

"Ace! I love you so much!" In her excitement, she gave Ace a playful kiss on the cheek.

"!!!"

Nojiko, Kaya, Vivi, and Tashigi stood there, stunned by Nami's sudden display of affection.

"I... I didn't mean...!" Nami's face immediately turned bright red as she stammered, struggling to find an explanation.

"How bold, Nami," Nojiko teased, covering her mouth with a chuckle as she glanced at Ace's cheek with a mischievous look. She hadn't been planning to eat a Devil Fruit, but now she was starting to look forward to whatever Ace would choose for her.

Kaya, meanwhile, thought to herself, Nami beat me to it. Sometimes, being bold really is the way to go...

Ace touched his cheek, smiling slightly as he looked at Nami's flustered expression. "The battle seems to be over. Let's go check it out," he said, heading toward the exit.

Little Garden was turning out to be quite an interesting place.
