The situation was dire, well not really, Coby knew Kuma wouldn't take Luffy, but he didn't know how he would protect Luffy if his crew wasn't worthy of him. What if he took Luffy to Dragon and left the rest of the crew? What if he delivered them to the Marine? He couldn't play this gamble. Coby wasn't about to let it end like this without knowing for sho. Before anyone could react, Coby disappeared, moving at a speed none of them could track. In a flash, he struck Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji at the base of their necks, knocking them out cold. Their bodies slumped to the ground, unconscious.

Coby stood up straight, stepping forward to block Kuma's path. "How about you take me instead?" he said, his tone casual despite the tension in the air. "I'm an interesting research subject. I'm sure I'm worthy enough to be a replacement for Luffy."

Kuma paused, staring down at Coby. His voice was warmer as he asked, "Why do you protect him?"

Coby shrugged, wiping some blood from the corner of his mouth. "He's the man who's going to become the King of the Pirates. Me? My dream's a bit more realistic." Coby grinned and added with a wink, "Hey, do you like boobies?"

Kuma blinked, then nodded, his face still expressionless. "I am a boob guy myself."

Coby chuckled. "A man of culture, I see." He threw Shusui aside, the blade clattering to the ground. "So how about it? Take me instead."

Kuma let out a deep sigh. "If I touch Straw Hat Luffy after this, it would be honorless."

Coby nodded, satisfied. "Appreciated."

Kuma stepped forward, reaching down to grab Luffy by the collar. "Don't worry," he said, his voice as calm as ever. "I won't hurt him. I'll show you hell."

With a simple push of his hand, Kuma began pulling all of the pain and fatigue from Luffy's body. A massive, glowing bubble of compressed agony hovered in the air between them. "This is all the damage and exhaustion he accumulated from repeated battles," Kuma explained, his eyes fixed on Coby. "If you want to take his place, you must take his pain as well. But as you are now, you're already on the verge of death. It's impossible for you to withstand it—you'll die. Have a taste."

Kuma separated a small piece of the glowing pain bubble, letting it drift toward Coby. The moment it touched Coby's body, an intense wave of pain surged through him. His muscles locked up, his entire body trembling uncontrollably as the agony coursed through him. It felt like every bone in his body was breaking, every nerve set on fire.

"Shit, that hurts!" Coby gasped, barely able to stay on his feet. His vision blurred as the pain consumed him, but he gritted his teeth and stood firm.

Kuma, watching closely, was silent for a moment before continuing, "This is only a fraction. The full amount will kill you."

Coby steadied himself, wiping sweat from his brow. "Let's see about that," he muttered, glaring at the massive bubble of pain hovering in front of him.

Coby, feeling the intense pain surging through his body from the small sample Kuma had given him, pointed toward the edge of the island. His voice strained but still full of his usual cheekiness, "Let me go over there." He gestured, signaling to the spot he had in mind.

Kuma nodded, understanding his intent. With a wave of his massive paw, he sent the entire glowing pain bubble toward Coby, moving it to the edge of the island where Coby had indicated. Without a word, Kuma turned and began to leave.

For a split second, Coby thought about running, ditching this insane idea. The massive pain bubble, containing everything Luffy had endured during their battle, hung in the air like a death sentence. He could walk away, save himself from what was about to happen. But then again, he wasn't one to break his word, especially after taking Zoro's place in this situation.

"Fuck it," Coby muttered under his breath. "Dream of boobies, and hold on." He grinned despite the situation, staring at the massive glowing ball of agony in front of him. He wasn't going to back down now. "Robin, I still haven't kissed yours," he added with a chuckle. "And there's a few more I need to touch too!"

He took a deep breath, walked up to the pain bubble, and without any further hesitation, dove straight into it.

The moment the bubble enveloped him, the pain hit like a tidal wave, slamming into every nerve and muscle in his body. It was as if every bone was being crushed, every inch of his skin was being torn apart. His vision blurred, and his body convulsed violently as the sheer force of Luffy's accumulated agony coursed through him. Coby's muscles tightened, his mind barely able to process the overwhelming pain.

When the crew came to, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji were frantic. They looked around, realizing something was wrong. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew seemed elated. Usopp was practically bouncing with excitement, and Chopper was dancing around with a wide grin on his face.

"He left! Maybe he took pity on us!" Usopp shouted, his voice filled with relief.

Chopper nodded enthusiastically, clearly happy that Kuma hadn't destroyed them all. "We're safe! He's gone!"

But Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji weren't fooled. They exchanged quick glances. They knew exactly what Coby had done. The realization hit them hard, their expressions darkening as they immediately began searching for him.

"Where's Coby?!" Luffy shouted, his voice frantic as he scanned the rubble-strewn battlefield.

Zoro and Sanji split off, each moving with urgency. They had a sinking feeling about what Coby had done. They weren't sure how far he had gone, but they weren't going to leave him behind.

The crew searched everywhere, but there was no sign of Coby. That's when Sanji spotted it—a patch of bloody ground at the edge of the island, near the trees. He knelt down, touching the dried blood with his fingertips. "Oi! I think I found something," he called out to the others.

Luffy, Zoro, and the rest of the crew rushed over. They stared at the bloodstains, their faces grim. "This has to be his…" Zoro muttered, clenching his fists.

"But where is he?" Nami asked, her eyes wide with concern.

Franky scanned the area, his eyes narrowing. "He can't have gone far, not in that condition."

They spread out again, searching the surrounding area, desperately hoping to find Coby before it was too late. After a few tense minutes, Robin, who had been calmly observing the area, finally spotted something in the distance. "Over here," she said, her voice calm but with a hint of urgency.

The crew rushed to where she was pointing. There, lying face-down in the dirt near a large boulder, was Coby. His body was motionless, his clothes torn and soaked with blood. He was breathing, but just barely, and his face was pale. It wasn't that his wounds were light—he had simply run out of blood to shed.

Luffy dropped to his knees beside him, panic rising in his chest. "Oi, Coby! What happened?!" he shouted, shaking him gently.

Coby barely opened his eyes, his gaze hazy. Blood dripped from his mouth, and he managed a weak, crooked smile and passed out. Nanimo Wakatta was not his scene, it was Zoro's. He took the pain instead of Zoro but he didn't steal the scene.
