Naruto:Ten Skill Bar

Chapter 18: Chapter:18

"My level of hidden weapon throwing is just average in the ninja school," Ishisaki muttered, frowning.

"Not to mention compared to actual ninjas."

It was clear to Ishisaki that if he wanted to fully utilize the Transparency Technique with hidden weapons, he had to significantly improve his throwing skills.

"Looks like I'll need to dedicate a skill slot to hidden weapon throwing, even if only for a short while."

He decided to remove one of the Chakra Refining Techniques and replace it with Hidden Weapon Throwing.

[Passive Skill 6: Hidden Weapon Throwing]

With this adjustment, Skills 1 through 5 remained dedicated to Chakra Refining, ensuring his chakra growth continued steadily. Skills 6 and 7 were now Hidden Weapon Throwing and Konoha-Style Swordsmanship, respectively.

To assess his current capabilities, Ishisaki decided to test how many kunai he could render invisible at once with the Transparency Technique. However, just as he began, the system chimed:

[Passive Skill 6: Hidden Weapon Throwing – Complete a Run]

It only took a few seconds to complete one cycle!

"Not bad!" Ishisaki exclaimed, feeling encouraged by the rapid progress.

He picked up two kunai, aimed at a nearby tree, and threw them. Ordinarily, he would have considered it an achievement if both kunai landed anywhere near the target area.

This time, both kunai embedded themselves firmly in the central area of the trunk, their positions incredibly close to the bullseye.

[Passive Skill 6 – Complete a Run]

Once every few seconds, the skill was running continuously, improving his control and accuracy.

After just ten minutes, Ishisaki could feel the difference. The speed of his throws had increased noticeably, and the impact sound of the kunai hitting the tree was much sharper.

Boom!

Nearly half the length of the blade buried itself into the trunk.

Ishisaki inspected the tree. From top to bottom, ten kunai were embedded vertically, each spaced about ten centimeters apart, with no deviation greater than one or two centimeters.

"This is incredible improvement in both control and power," he murmured.

Fifteen meters was easy—time to increase the distance. Ishisaki stepped back another ten meters, making the total distance twenty-five meters.

He picked up a shuriken, adjusted his aim, and let it fly.

The spinning blade hissed through the air before embedding itself in the trunk with a solid thunk.

However, Ishisaki frowned. "The accuracy isn't as sharp over longer distances."

The shuriken missed his target mark by about five centimeters—a small margin, but in a real battle, that could be fatal.

"I'll need to hang Hidden Weapon Throwing on the skill bar a little longer. My goal is to hit accurately within thirty meters, with no compromise on strength."

With renewed determination, Ishisaki continued practicing, throwing kunai and shuriken repeatedly to refresh the skill status.

Compared to refining chakra, refreshing the status of Hidden Weapon Throwing was relatively straightforward. In just thirty minutes, Ishisaki had already updated the skill's status ten times.

The improvement was staggering.

The kunai now flew faster and hit harder. Even his wrist strength—an often overlooked but crucial aspect of throwing—had increased significantly. This enhanced his overall control and allowed for more precise throws.

"This doesn't just help with throwing weapons," Ishisaki realized, flexing his wrist. "It's also boosting my swordsmanship!"

This discovery motivated him to continue training. For the next three hours, he practiced without pause, refreshing the skill status over thirty times.

By the end, his hands felt like they were about to fall off.

After seven hours of training, Ishisaki's hidden weapon throwing skills had reached a terrifying level.

At a distance of ten to fifteen meters, his kunai could now penetrate wood up to fifty centimeters thick.

At a range of fifty meters, his throws maintained pinpoint accuracy, with his kunai and shuriken flying at astonishing speeds.

This was no longer the skill level of a Genin. Even among Jōnin, few could match his hidden weapon abilities.

"If I continue to leave Hidden Weapon Throwing in the skill bar, I might achieve something even crazier," Ishisaki mused.

However, he decided to switch back to Chakra Refining for now. His immediate priority remained increasing his chakra reserves.

As Ishisaki walked home that evening, his body ached, but his mind was exhilarated. The progress he'd made in just one day was astounding.

"In close combat, I have Konoha-Style Swordsmanship. Mid-range, I can use Water Style ninjutsu. And for long-range… these hidden weapons will be unstoppable."

He envisioned a future battle scenario: the enemy overwhelmed by invisible kunai and shuriken, unable to predict or defend against his attacks.

"Combined with the Transparency Technique, even Jōnin will have a hard time against me."
