Chapter 15: Chapter:15

Ihisaki's performance left the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, astonished.

For a child who hadn't even graduated from the Ninja Academy to defeat a seasoned swordsman like Gekkō Hayate in pure swordsmanship—it was unprecedented.

"This boy... if his Chakra and ninjutsu develop even half as well as his swordsmanship, he could easily reach the level of an Elite Jōnin," thought Hiruzen. "Perhaps even rivaling White Fang."

The thought brought a smile to the aging Hokage's face.

"Ninja school graduation is just around the corner," he mused, puffing on his pipe. "I'll have to consider his team placement carefully."

Just as Hiruzen began formulating ideas, a knock at his office door drew his attention. With a wave of his hand, the crystal ball disappeared, and he resumed his duties.

Hayate stared at Ishisaki in stunned silence.

The wooden sword still hovered near his throat, a reminder of his unexpected defeat. Ishisaki, meanwhile, lowered the weapon, his expression a mix of confidence and surprise.

"Brother Hayate, I didn't expect to win so easily," Ishisaki said, his tone genuine.

Hayate coughed awkwardly, picking up his fallen wooden sword.

"I only used half my strength," Hayate claimed, though the slight blush on his face betrayed his words. "If I'd gone all out and used Chakra, it wouldn't have been so simple."

Ishisaki raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

Hayate continued, regaining some of his composure. "Real ninja battles aren't just about swordsmanship. With my Chakra and Jōnin-level techniques, you'd have no chance."

To prove his point, Hayate added, "Do you know why I'm a Special Jōnin? It's not just my swordsmanship—it's because of Transparency, my unique ability to vanish completely from sight and suppress my presence."

Ishisaki's curiosity piqued. "Transparency? Is that... a Bloodline Limit?"

Hayate hesitated, then nodded. "It's a unique ability that only I have within the Gekkō Clan. It's fair to say it qualifies as a Bloodline Limit, but it's not something everyone in our clan can use."

Hearing this, Ishisaki's mind raced.

"If Transparency is considered a Bloodline Limit, could my system analyze it and help me learn it?"

The thought made him excited, and he immediately turned to Hayate. "Brother, can you teach me the Transparency Technique? What if I have the talent for it too?"

Hayate frowned slightly. Transparency was not a technique one could easily learn; it required a specific affinity.

Still, seeing Ishisaki's enthusiasm, Hayate relented. "Alright. I'll show you the basics. But don't get your hopes up—it's unlikely anyone else in the clan has this talent."

Hayate began with a demonstration. He performed the hand seals with deliberate slowness, his body gradually fading until he was entirely invisible.

Ishisaki stared in awe as Hayate's voice echoed from nowhere. "The key is suppressing your Chakra while maintaining a seamless flow. Even a slight imbalance can disrupt the effect."

As Hayate reappeared, he broke down the technique further.

"This is just the basic stealth effect," Hayate explained. "The real power of Transparency comes when combined with Chakra suppression techniques, making you undetectable to most ninjas."

[Detecting that the host is learning a new skill.]

[Analyzing...]

Ishisaki glanced at the system interface, watching the analysis bar inch forward slowly.

[1%... 2%... 3%...]

The progress was far slower than before, a clear indication that analyzing a Bloodline Limit was far more complex than ordinary skills.

After Hayate's first explanation, Ishisaki asked him to repeat it.

"Brother Hayate, I'm still not getting it. Can you go over it again?"

Hayate sighed but obliged.

By the third repetition, even Hayate's patience began to wear thin. "Ishisaki, if you can't grasp the basics, don't force yourself. Your swordsmanship is already exceptional—there's no need to stretch yourself too thin."

But Ishisaki wasn't about to give up.

[Analysis progress: 32%...]

Each explanation Hayate gave nudged the progress forward, albeit slowly.

"Just one more time," Ishisaki pleaded.

Finally, after several repetitions and nearly an hour of effort, the system chimed.

[Analysis complete.]

[Congratulations, Host, on acquiring a new skill: Transparency (Basic).]

The knowledge of the Transparency Technique flooded Ishisaki's mind, and his body instinctively understood how to perform the seals.

He closed his eyes, focusing his Chakra flow as Hayate had instructed, and performed the hand seals.
