Chapter 121: Chapter 121: Kirin
"Sasuki has entered the second stage..."
Kirito sat atop the torii pinning Orochimaru, arms crossed, observing Naruto and the others as they fought Sasuke.
With Kakashi's words triggering Sasuke's rage, Sasuke unleashed the second stage of his Curse Mark, signaling his complete seriousness.
Seeing this transformation, Orochimaru chuckled. "Aren't you going to help your companions? They're no match for Sasuke in his current state."
Kirito didn't even glance at him. "Just enjoying the show."
Across the battlefield, Sasuke stared at Kakashi's spinning Mangekyō Sharingan with disbelief.
"A Mangekyō Sharingan... I never thought someone outside the Uchiha clan could awaken it. Impressive."
Sasuke's voice turned cold. "But you're still not an Uchiha. No matter how far you push the Sharingan, you'll never be a match for me."
Sasuke's Curse Mark-enhanced strength began to overpower Kakashi, his grip on the Kusanagi sword tightening as he pushed Kakashi back.
"His strength is overwhelming. If this keeps up..." Kakashi thought, struggling to break free.
Sasuke seemed to sense Kakashi's intentions. "I won't let you escape," he said, as a grotesque hand-like appendage sprouted from his back, enclosing both himself and Kakashi.
Naruto, who had been avoiding Sasuke's Chidori Sharp Spear, jumped to his feet, his red eyes blazing.
"Stop, Sasuke!" he roared, the Nine-Tails' chakra flaring around him once more. A swirling Rasengan formed in his hand as he charged toward Sasuke.
"Tsk!" Sasuke clicked his tongue, retracting the wing-like appendage wrapping Kakashi to kick him away and block Naruto's attack.
Boom!
Naruto's Rasengan struck the ice, shattering it and sending up a cloud of smoke, dust, and icy debris.
Sasuke leaped into the air, waving his hand to conjure thousands of lightning bolts that rained down toward Naruto.
"Chidori Senbon!"
From a distance, Kakashi, still recovering from Sasuke's kick, saw the impending attack.
"Naruto won't dodge in time!" he thought, channeling all his remaining chakra into his Mangekyō Sharingan.
"Kamui!"
A black vortex appeared behind Naruto, distorting space and absorbing every bolt of lightning.
Panting heavily, Kakashi clutched his eye. "Fuu... at least Naruto's safe."
As the smoke cleared, Sasuke scowled, recognizing Kakashi's technique. "So that's the power of his Mangekyō..."
Naruto, now fully enveloped in the Nine-Tails' chakra, stood. His features had grown more feral—long, sharp claws, animalistic teeth, and three waving tails.
Sasuke smirked. "It doesn't matter how much power you borrow, Naruto. You'll never beat me."
Lightning crackled along the Kusanagi sword as Sasuke's second wing-like appendage extended.
Naruto grinned, his voice guttural. "We'll see about that!"
The two clashed again, their power so immense that the ice beneath them fractured, sending shockwaves across the battlefield.
Watching from the distance, Sakura and Kakashi could feel the sheer intensity of their battle.
"This isn't just a fight anymore," Kakashi muttered. "It's like watching two forces of nature collide."
"Is Naruto okay in that form?" Kakashi asked Kirito, who seemed unfazed by the chaos.
"He's still in control," Kirito replied. "If he weren't, they'd both be fighting a lot farther away from us."
Orochimaru smirked, his gaze fixed on the growing storm clouds. "Sasuke won't lose. He's prepared for this."
Kirito glanced up at the swirling clouds, his brow furrowing slightly. "Ah, I see... the stage is set."
The battlefield grew darker as thunderclouds roiled overhead, plunging the Gobi desert into an eerie twilight.
Sasuke, standing amidst the cracked ice, raised his chin defiantly. "Naruto, you'll never bring me back."
Naruto snarled. "I won't let you leave again!"
Their clashing energies caused the ice to quake and groan underfoot, the tension palpable even to Kakashi and Sakura, who could only watch helplessly.
Rumbles of thunder rolled through the dark clouds above as lightning illuminated Sasuke's silhouette.
"Naruto, it ends here," Sasuke declared, his hand glowing with electricity.
Naruto lunged forward, his claws extending, but Sasuke thrust his hand skyward.
"Kirin!"
From the churning clouds above, a massive dragon-like form of lightning emerged, its head rearing back as it roared.
"What is that?!" Sakura gasped, her voice trembling as the enormous beast of lightning illuminated the battlefield.
"Sasuke's ultimate technique..." Kakashi muttered, his Sharingan fixated on the beast descending toward Naruto.
"Naruto!" Kakashi and Sakura shouted in unison.
Sasuke slashed his hand downward, directing the lightning beast.
The Kirin roared, descending with all the fury of the storm above.
The battlefield was swallowed by a deafening explosion, the flash of light blinding everyone in its vicinity.
Kirito, still seated atop the torii, shielded his eyes as the ground beneath them shook violently.
When the light faded, only a crater of smoking rubble remained where Naruto and Sasuke had stood.
