Chapter 78: Chapter 78: All Sides Converge, Tobirama Senju
Chapter 78: All Sides Converge, Tobirama Senju
Over the vast ocean, three figures soared through the skies.
Onoki, now missing his legs, held onto the Fourth Raikage with one hand and the Fourth Kazekage Rasa with the other.
Rasa's face was swollen with bruises, a pitiful sight.
Just days ago, Onoki, along with A and Killer Bee, stormed into the Sand Village.
Without a word, they had beaten Rasa to a pulp before explaining their intentions.
Onoki clearly understood how to win people over with virtue—though his methods might differ slightly from the norm.
"Lord Tsuchikage… Lord Raikage… Is this Uchiha Kagami truly so powerful?"
Despite hearing the stories many times, Rasa still found it hard to believe.
Could a single shinobi really rival entire great nations?
Onoki shot him a cold glance and retorted, "Do you think defeating you was hard for us?"
Rasa's face flushed red. After a long moment of embarrassment, he muttered, "I… I was caught off guard…"
"Uchiha Kagami crushed me and the Raikage, along with his own father and four Tailed Beasts, forcing us to flee like beaten dogs!"
"And even then, we lost the Fifth-Tails' Jinchūriki and the Third Raikage in the process, just to escape!"
Onoki's words, though factual, were no less humiliating. Reliving his wounds didn't make the telling easier; his face darkened with each word.
"You haven't experienced that kind of power, so don't think it doesn't exist…"
"I'm certain Uchiha Kagami has reached the level of the legendary Uchiha Madara."
"I don't know if he is Madara reborn, but that hardly matters anymore."
"Right now, in this world… there's no Hashirama Senju. No one can stop Uchiha Kagami from doing whatever he pleases."
Onoki turned to Rasa, his gaze solemn.
"We've already secured agreements with the daimyo of the Land of Earth and the Land of Lightning. They'll be negotiating with the daimyo of the Land of Wind next."
"As for the Hidden Mist… I've known their elder strategist for years. If we explain the stakes clearly..."
"I've even put aside my grievances for my master's death. What are you still hesitating about?"
As the silhouette of a large island in the Land of Water emerged on the horizon, Onoki's tone grew graver.
"Before we can hope to kill Uchiha Kagami, we must unite. We can't afford to let him pick us off one by one."
"The Four Nations Alliance must be formed!"
---
"What about the Hokage?" Rasa asked after some thought.
After a pause, Onoki sighed deeply.
"Sarutobi and I both had chances to stop him…"
"But forget the Hokage. I can almost guarantee… the Leaf has already fallen."
"Knowing that boy's personality, if he hasn't come to hunt us down yet, it's because he's already gone back to destroy the Leaf."
A, who had been silent until now, spoke up.
"Once the alliance is formed, bring your Jinchūriki to the Land of Lightning. We have methods to help Jinchūriki and their Tailed Beasts reconcile."
"Of course, it's not a guarantee."
"But without perfect Jinchūriki, we won't stand a chance against him."
Rasa nodded solemnly. "Understood."

Deep Underground
Obito and Madara listened in silence as White Zetsu recounted the events.
"I thought... a one-eyed Uchiha wouldn't be able to use Susanoo."
A faint smile appeared on Madara's aged face.
"That Kagami kid has truly grown to the level I once reached in my youth."
The smile quickly faded, replaced by a more serious expression.
"Obito, you're still not his match, and he won't accept the Eye of the Moon Plan."
Obito's head hung low, his eyes filled with indifference.
"That guy… he's always one step ahead of me."
"But if I want to leave… he won't be able to stop me."
Madara didn't argue.
Even with his vast experience, he couldn't think of a Mangekyō technique more dangerous than Obito's dual Kamui.
Without prior knowledge, even the younger Madara would have struggled against it.
Choosing Obito had indeed been the right decision.
Madara led Obito to a hidden chamber, where rows of Sharingan lined the walls.
"These are the eyes I brought with me when I left the village, remnants of our ancestors. About thirty are still usable."
"I'll teach you how to use a technique to counter Uchiha Kagami—Izanagi, the ability to alter fate itself."
"Remember, don't let Kagami's black rods infused with Yin-Yang Release pierce you. Activate Izanagi before encountering him."
---
"Do you have a way to defeat him?" Obito asked, his voice tinged with determination.
Defeating Kagami was one of his obsessions.
Madara shook his head slightly.
"At that level, simply knowing his techniques won't be enough. Uchiha Kagami is an all-around powerhouse. The only way to defeat him is through overwhelming power..."
"What about the Rinnegan? Could it beat him?" Obito pressed.
Madara turned, his gaze calm but firm.
"Perhaps one day. Kagami's eyes haven't reached the Rinnegan's level yet."
"Don't be hasty, Obito."
"You have potential equal to Kagami's. With Nagato by your side, the two of you together might be able to rival him."
"For now, focus on recovery."
Watching Madara's retreating figure, Obito felt a sudden emptiness.
"Where are you going?"
"Relocating. I don't trust that boy to play by the rules."
---
Madara returned to his chamber and sat down.
A thought surfaced in his mind as he raised a hand.
A pitch-black substance began to flow, forming a half-bodied figure.
"What is this?" White Zetsu asked nervously as the dark figure approached.
"This is my manifested will," Madara said calmly. "Call him Black Zetsu. Together, you'll be known as 'Zetsu.'"
The black and white halves fused into a single entity.
"Hehehe… Nice to meet you."
White Zetsu forced a nervous laugh.
"We must act quickly," Madara continued. "Uchiha Kagami's existence is the greatest threat to the Eye of the Moon Plan."
"Accelerate Nagato's growth. Arrange an event for him to master the Rinne Rebirth technique."
---
"Madara-sama, you knew Kagami would become a threat to your plans. Why didn't you kill him when you had the chance?"
Madara chuckled softly.
"You've asked a question as childish as Kagami himself."
"Because I wanted a worthy opponent when I returned."
"Hashirama is gone. Having a recognized rival is a rare and precious thing..."

Elsewhere
In a dim underground cavern, flickering candles formed an eerie ritual circle.
A struggling ninja was bound at the center.
The wavering flames illuminated a pale face adorned with distinctive purple eye shadow and golden slit-pupiled eyes—Orochimaru.
After completing a complex sequence of hand seals, he slammed his palm onto the captive's body.
The cavern filled with sinister winds and haunting wails as a figure began to emerge from the sacrifice.
A tall man clad in blue samurai armor from the Warring States Era, with silver hair, red eyes, and three red marks across his face.
A face every Konoha ninja would recognize.
Second Hokage, Tobirama Senju.
"This body... is so weak..."
"Are you the one who used the Impure World Reincarnation to summon me? Who are you? What's happening?"
Tobirama's tone was calm, not surprised by his resurrection.
He had anticipated this might happen someday when he left the technique behind in the Scroll of Seals.
Orochimaru examined the chakra levels of Tobirama's reincarnated body—it was barely on par with a regular jonin. A predictable but nonetheless disappointing result.
"I am Orochimaru, student of Sarutobi Hiruzen and former Fourth Hokage of the Leaf. Lord Tobirama, I wish to perfect the Impure World Reincarnation technique with your guidance!"
Tobirama frowned deeply.
"Former?"
"What has happened to the village? Saru's student—tell me everything!"
