-------------------------------------------------------------
Under the dense cover of night, pale moonlight illuminated the village of Konoha.
From various corners of the village, black shadows and flashes of cold light occasionally flickered, accompanied by constant screams of terror. The brutal essence of war had been revealed.
Amid the village's ruins, shifting sand softly flowed, filling a massive pit where two colossal beasts stood, locked in a tense standoff.
In a distant, hidden corner, the Konoha shinobi who had been observing the battlefield were pale-faced.
Being this close to such enormous creatures in battle filled them with a deep sense of helplessness. Against such terrifying opponents, their small and fragile existence left them unable to imagine any possible countermeasure.
The overwhelming attacks and destructive power unleashed by the two beasts were both awe-inspiring and suffocating, casting a thick shadow over the hearts of the onlookers.
The only thought the hiding shinobi had now was this. they hoped the two colossal beasts would destroy each other. After all, even if they all rushed in, they would just become fodder for these monsters.
But the current situation seemed disappointing. The giant bear appeared to be completely overpowered by Shukaku's strength, being ruthlessly beaten.
If this continued, the battle would be over before the arrival of the Third Hokage.
The thought of Shukaku's terrifying destructive power made one of the older Konoha shinobi grimace in dread.
Just then—
"Captain Morita, th-that thing moved again!" one of the observing shinobi, pale with fear, stammered.
"What!?"
Captain Morita, a middle-aged shinobi with a serious expression, quickly turned his gaze, hoping the giant bear could hold on a bit longer.
In the distance, the once motionless bear suddenly stirred. Its massive paw slammed down on Shukaku's huge tail.
Seeing this, a human-like mocking smile spread across Shukaku's face, as it sneered.
"What, are you angry now? But even if you are, what can you do? Against someone like me—"
Shukaku's taunt was abruptly cut off.
Its mocking beastly eyes suddenly widened in shock, pupils contracting sharply as it stared at the bear.
Impossible! How could this ordinary creature possess such power?
A hiss sounded as if steam was rising, and white vapor began to slowly rise from the bear's body. A faint red chakra surged across its massive frame.
'Crack!'
A slight sound echoed from the bear's thick arms!
Even through the dense brown fur, the sudden bulging of its already muscular arms was clear—its limbs seemed to swell in an instant!
The bear's rounded arms bulged with thick, corded muscles, its brown fur bristling like steel wires.
The flowing sand that had previously clung tightly to its body could no longer pull even a single hair from it!
'Roar!'
The bear raised its enormous head, letting out a ferocious roar so powerful that even the distant Konoha shinobi covered their ears in pain.
Its eyes glowed red, fixed intently on the nearby Shukaku.
Drool dripped from its snarling maw, and each breath expelled white mist from its black nostrils.
'This is the one!'
'The one that destroyed my pact with Lord Aizen!'
'This is the one that ruined my proof as the greatest of the Bear Clan!'
'I will kill you!'
With this thought, the bear tightened its grip on Shukaku's tail, its sharp claws sinking deeply into the flesh.
Amid Shukaku's pained, disbelieving expression, the bear's bulging arms flexed, lifting Shukaku by its tail!
"Bastard! How dare you treat me like this!" Shukaku bellowed, furious as it was hoisted into the air, its massive body swinging helplessly.
But the bear ignored Shukaku's enraged shouts.
With a savage expression, the bear spun, swinging Shukaku around in circles. Even the thick clouds of sand on the ground couldn't slow the bear's momentum. Shukaku, firmly grasped by its tail, was helpless to control its own body.
The Konoha shinobi watching from afar were dumbstruck, unable to believe their eyes.
How could the previously overpowered bear suddenly unleash such overwhelming strength? They weren't the only ones confused—Shukaku was equally baffled.
At the height of its spin, the bear released its grip!
'Boom!'
Shukaku's massive body flew like a gigantic cannonball into the distance, crashing into the ground with devastating force. Buildings were obliterated in the wake of Shukaku's fall.
'Roar!'
Without hesitation, the bear roared and ripped apart the sand that had been clinging to its ears and body.
Then, planting its paws into the ground, the bear's powerful legs flexed, and in one explosive leap, it launched itself out of the sand pit.
'Boom!'
The heavy bear landed, causing the earth to tremble.
Its four huge paws firmly planted on the ground, it bared its fangs in a menacing grin, its red eyes locked onto Shukaku in the distance.
Step by step, the bear slowly advanced toward the rising Shukaku, the wounds on its body healing rapidly under the influence of its red chakra.
Shukaku, struggling to get up, wore a look of rage mixed with reluctance, shouting angrily.
"What the hell are you!? Where does that power come from!?"
As Shukaku shouted, it gathered a massive amount of wind-nature chakra in its mouth.
"Wind Style. Great Air Bullet Barrage!"
Huge clusters of wind shot toward the bear, the high-pitched whistling sound of air being sliced filling the atmosphere.
But the bear didn't flinch.
'Roar!'
Letting out another furious roar, the bear stomped the ground, its massive muscles rippling as it charged directly toward the wind bullets!
'Bang!' 'Bang!' 'Bang!'
The wind bullets hit the bear squarely, but they only left white marks on its iron-hard fur, completely ineffective!
'Roar!'
With a mighty leap, the bear pounced on Shukaku from above.
Seeing this, fear flashed across Shukaku's face despite its anger.
'What is this thing!?'
Before Shukaku could react, the bear slammed it to the ground, its claws tearing deep into Shukaku's arm, causing sand to spill from the wound.
"You damn piece of—" Shukaku began to shout, only to be cut off by the bear's furious roar.
With one massive paw, the bear shattered Shukaku's jaw, silencing it completely. Ignoring Shukaku's struggles, the bear continued to pummel it in a relentless fury, each swing of its massive paws carrying overwhelming power.
