Before resuming his journey, he paused for a moment under the shade of a tree. Cautiously, he pulled out the high-level scroll he had obtained, one that had captured his attention from the first moment he saw it.
Unlike the other, more basic scrolls he had already managed to open and study, this one contained far greater power.
As he unrolled the scroll, his gaze lit up. The words written in ancient ink seemed to dance on the surface of the paper. It was an incredible technique, one that allowed the user to copy the skills and techniques of their opponents for a short period of time. However, as he read the requirements to master it, his initial excitement was replaced by a mix of awe and concern.
The scroll detailed a series of complex steps that needed to be followed precisely. It required extremely advanced chakra control and mental focus that only the most experienced could maintain.
"How could someone who had just graduated, like me, even attempt to master something so advanced?" the young man thought, feeling the weight of the technique.
He decided, then, not to be carried away by ambition. He knew that rushing into learning something so dangerous could cost him dearly. As tempting as it was to be able to copy the skills of any adversary, he understood that his time to master that technique had not yet come.
Carefully, he rolled up the scroll again and put it away among his things, determined to study only the basics for the moment. He focused on the fundamentals that the scroll mentioned: precise chakra control, increasing his ability to perceive, and strengthening his mind to withstand the mental wear and tear that the technique could cause.
"This is just the beginning," he told himself, reminding himself that the path of the ninja was one of constant learning and patience. With a new determination, he stood up and continued on his way to the village.
His mind, however, could not stop thinking about the power that scroll contained and how, one day, he would master it.
As he moved forward, the young man began to draw up a plan in his mind. He knew that he would need more training, more missions, and above all, more combat experience. But, when the right time came, he would be ready.
He was determined to become a master of that technique and use it to protect his village and those he cared about.

The next morning, the young ninja, although still with the after-effects of combat, felt a noticeable improvement. The wounds on his body no longer hurt as much, and the bruises were more bearable. He decided that it was time to continue his journey back to the village. His mission was not yet complete and, although exhausted, duty called him.
As he walked, his thoughts returned to the scroll he had opened the day before. He could not get it out of his mind. That ancient text spoke of a very high-level technique, one that would allow him to copy the skills of his opponents for a short period.
The possibility of using the most powerful jutsus of other ninjas was incredibly tempting. However, the young man knew that he was not ready for something of that magnitude. The requirements outlined in the scroll seemed too demanding for someone with his current level of chakra control and combat experience.
As he made his way down the path, the cool morning wind brushed against his skin, giving him a sense of serenity. He decided to stop briefly under the shade of a large tree, which seemed to have been there since time immemorial. Carefully, he pulled out the scroll again. "I must better understand what this means," he thought.
He reread the descriptions written in ancient ink. The technique called Kugutsu no Tachi (Successor Technique) was fascinating, but it was clear that mastering it was not easy. The chakra control needed to copy and execute another's techniques required years of training, and the risks of attempting to use it without preparation were severe. Progressive fatigue, risk of exhaustion, and mental fatigue were just some of the dangers mentioned. In addition, the technique only allowed temporary use of the copied skills, making it more useful in quick tactical situations than in prolonged battles.
The young man reflected for a moment. He knew that he needed to improve his chakra control ability, hone his perception, and strengthen his mental stamina before he could even think about trying to master the technique. However, the potential of this ability was too valuable to ignore completely. "This is just the beginning," he told himself. He knew that his path as a ninja was a long one, and patience was key.
He decided then that, for now, he would just learn the basics. The scroll detailed some basic exercises to improve chakra control, which would be useful in any aspect of his development as a ninja. He closed the scroll. and put it in his backpack, determined to train harder on his return to the village.
With a new determination, he resumed his journey. The mountains surrounding his village were already looming on the horizon. As he walked, his mind kept formulating plans and strategies. He knew that his path to mastering the Kugutsu no Tachi technique would be arduous and full of challenges, but he also knew that, with enough time and effort, he would eventually master it.
The young man promised himself that one day, when he was ready, he would use this technique not only to become a formidable warrior, but also to protect his village and the people he loved. The wind continued to blow around him, but within him, the flame of determination burned brightly, unwavering.
As he descended the last stretch of the path that would lead him to his village, he felt a strange calm. Despite the dangers he knew he would encounter in the future, his spirit remained firm. He was a ninja, and he was destined for great things.

The young man finally crossed the village gates, being greeted by his companions and superiors. Although tired and bearing signs of the battle he had fought, he handed in his mission report with a slight smile. The mission was accomplished. However, what really mattered to him was what came next.
He knew that in the coming days he would find time to train harder than ever, strengthen his mind and body, and prepare for the challenge of mastering the technique he had discovered. The future awaited him, and he was more than ready to face it.
