Chapter 128: Chapter 126: You’re Guilty! Look into My Eyes!

Chapter 126: You're Guilty! Look into My Eyes!

"What's wrong?"

"Why the silence all of a sudden?"

"Is this question too difficult for the noble, self-sacrificing Uchiha family prodigy to answer?"

Seeing that Uchiha Itachi remained silent for a long time, Uchiha Yi sneered, his voice dripping with mockery.

The reason Itachi had been allowed to live until now was simple: he had been useful in driving Akatsuki's Moon's Eye Plan forward. But now that Akatsuki had almost completed its collection of tailed beasts, Itachi's existence had lost its importance.

"The Uchiha clan, constantly plotting rebellion, would have brought destruction to the Leaf. For the sake of peace, eliminating them was necessary," Itachi finally replied after a moment's pause. His calm, cold voice betrayed no emotion, his expression as unreadable as ever.

"Ha!" Yi laughed, his voice ringing out sharply.

"What an absurd joke!"

"Destroying the Uchiha clan to bring peace to the Leaf? What kind of warped logic is that?"

"How did you even come to such a conclusion?"

Yi's laughter intensified, his mockery biting deeper.

Itachi's gaze hardened, and he remained silent this time, unwilling to engage further. He knew the futility of arguing with Yi.

This wasn't just a battle of words—it was a confrontation he wasn't sure he could survive.

Itachi's main goal in returning to the Leaf wasn't just to fulfill Akatsuki's orders. It was also to discreetly warn the Leaf about the impending danger. He wanted the village prepared to protect itself, especially since Sasuke lived there now.

But before he could reach Jiraiya to deliver the warning, Yi had appeared.

---

Uchiha Yi observed Itachi's reaction with growing amusement.

"So, you've chosen the silent treatment now?"

"Alright, Itachi, let's see how long you can keep this up!"

"Get ready to enjoy your personal moment of hell!" Yi declared, his voice cold and sinister.

"Hellfire!"

In an instant, Yi's head burst into flames, his face transforming into a fiery skull.

"What kind of jutsu is this?" Kisame muttered, his voice betraying his unease. "Why does it feel like this guy gets more monstrous every time I see him?"

Itachi, however, was far from idle. His Sharingan spun wildly.

"Amaterasu!"

The inextinguishable black flames of Amaterasu ignited and shot toward Yi.

Though it strained his vision, Itachi had no choice but to use his Mangekyō Sharingan techniques. The sheer presence of Yi made it clear that anything less wouldn't even scratch him.

But to Itachi's dismay, the black flames of Amaterasu had no effect. Yi stood completely unscathed, as though the flames were mere illusions.

"Tch," Itachi muttered under his breath. Realizing that Amaterasu was futile, he transitioned into another Mangekyō ability.

"Tsukuyomi!"

The moment their eyes met, Yi felt a tug on his consciousness. Recognizing the pull of Tsukuyomi, Yi allowed it to drag him in.

---

Inside the Tsukuyomi world, the skies were blood-red, and the surroundings were cloaked in oppressive darkness.

Yi found himself bound to a cross, unable to move. Surrounding him were countless clones of Itachi, all wielding executioner blades.

"This is my Tsukuyomi world," Itachi said coldly.

"Here, I control everything—time, space, even reality itself. You'll experience endless pain and suffering," he explained, his voice devoid of emotion.

"Is that so?" Yi smirked. "You really think this will work on me?"

Tsukuyomi's power was impressive, but Yi's tenth-level Fire Eye Golden Sight rendered it insignificant. He had only allowed himself to be caught to toy with Itachi.

"It doesn't matter what you think," Itachi replied coolly. "I only want an answer to one question before this ends."

"It was you, wasn't it, who stole the bodies of my parents after I killed them?"

Itachi's gaze was piercing, filled with a rare flicker of emotion. Though he had suspected Yi for years, he needed confirmation.

Yi chuckled darkly. "Why does it matter now? You killed them yourself. What difference does it make who took their bodies?"

He sneered. "You and your family were the most disgusting part of the Uchiha clan. A clan leader without a backbone, bowing to the Hokage's whims, turning a blind eye to his own people's suffering."

"Your father allowed the Uchiha to be oppressed, and when the village finally decided to eliminate the clan, he didn't even resist. All to 'protect' you, his son, and that brat Sasuke?"

Yi's voice dripped with disdain. "You couldn't even tell friend from foe. You helped the Leaf kill your own people—pathetic."

Itachi's gaze faltered for a moment. Yi's words hit closer to home than he'd like to admit.

But his resolve didn't waver. "It was fate," Itachi said simply, as if trying to convince himself as much as Yi.

Yi's smirk widened. "Fate? Don't make me laugh."

"Well, this little game has been amusing, but I've had enough."

Itachi's expression tightened as Yi's eyes began to glow with an ominous light.

"You're guilty!" Yi roared.

"Look into my eyes!"

"Judgment Flame!"

A surge of overwhelming power burst forth, shattering Itachi's Tsukuyomi world in an instant. Itachi recoiled, coughing up blood as the mental strain hit him like a sledgehammer.

Reality around them returned, but Itachi's body swayed. He struggled to remain standing, his vision blurring from the backlash of his shattered Tsukuyomi.

Kisame took a step forward, gripping Samehada tightly, unsure of whether to fight or flee.

Itachi, however, raised a hand to stop him.

Yi stood before them, his fiery skull blazing brighter than ever, his gaze locked onto Itachi.

"Ready to face judgment, little brother?"
