mysterious revenge: An Impossible love story

Chapter 15: past memories

Harleen's voice was laced with concern as she spoke to Roshni. "You've been here for three days, and you've been discharged. It's time for me to take you home." Roshni's eyes narrowed slightly. "Did Mahir come to visit me?" Harleen's expression turned sympathetic. "No, he didn't. Not even once. I don't think he's serious about your marriage."

Roshni's face fell, but she quickly regained her composure. "There must be a reason," she said, her voice firm. Harleen nodded. "Anyway, let's go. I'll take you home. And you know what tomorrow is, don't you?" Roshni's eyes clouded over, and she whispered, "How could I forget? It's the anniversary of the car accident that took Jasmine's life. Nine years ago, tomorrow."

Tears pricked at the corners of Roshni's eyes, and Harleen's eyes welled up with tears as well. After a moment, Harleen stood up, helping Roshni to her feet. "Let's go home," she said gently.

Meanwhile, Ayan was talking to Vivan. "I haven't visited Roshni in three days," he said, his voice laced with guilt. Vivan's expression turned serious. "You should go tomorrow. She was discharged today, and Harleen took her home." Ayan's eyes narrowed. "What did she say?" Vivan shrugged. "Nothing, but when she asks you to marry her, what will you say?"

Ayan's face set in determination. "I'm marrying her next week. Her parents will be there too." Vivan raised an eyebrow. "How will you convince her parents? They're the CEOs of L.H. Star, and they hate your family." Ayan's expression turned cold. "I joined L.H. Star later, and they know my parents. But I won't need to convince them. I have a plan."

Vivan's eyes widened in surprise, but Ayan just turned and walked away, leaving him to wonder what had just happened.
