Chapter 1: The Beginning of Transmigration

------------------------------

Where is this? Why is it so dark? Why can't I move?

Hey?

Is anyone there?

Let me out!

"Fourth Hokage, if you don't want your child to die, then leave this place!"

Huh? Fourth Hokage? What?

What is this?

Why can't I make a sound?

Clang

So dizzy, please stop spinning! I can't see anything!

"Hahaha! Come forth, Nine-Tails!!"

"Ahhhhhhh!"

Nine-Tails? Huh? Screams? Why are they so horrifying?

"You bastard, I'll never forgive you!"

"Rasengan!!"

Boom

What was that? Why is the tremor so intense!? Rasengan?

Why does it feel so familiar?

"Damn you, Fourth Hokage, I underestimated you again!?"

"You won't escape!"

Escape? Who's escaping? Why would anyone want to escape? What on earth is happening?

"No!!!"

What is this "No"?

Ahhhhhh!

It hurts! Something feels like it's trying to come inside! What on earth is happening!?

Why can't I still move?!

Why is it so dark!!

Let me out! I want out!

Let me out!

"Does it really have to be this way?"

"I'm sorry, for the village, and for Naruto, we have to believe in our child!"

Huh? Naruto? Fourth Hokage? Nine-Tails? Could it be!?-

So painful! So unbearable! What is this thing!? Could it be the Nine-Tails? No, this…

I can't!

Let me out!!

It felt like the deepest and most primal shock from the depths of my being.

In what seemed like a moment, space itself was torn apart, and a brilliant light instantly flashed across the horizon.

The darkness dispersed.

What unfolded before my eyes.

In that fleeting moment. The intense scene of gold and blood intertwined. It was like the sky was forever frozen in that instant.

In just a moment of daze.

Another tremendous force swept over, and the darkness that came rushing back enveloped the entire sky again. Leaving behind only a low, sorrowful moan.

"I'm sorry, Naruto…"

And at the very moment of sinking back into the darkness again.

He realized that he seemed to have arrived in a rather extraordinary world.

---------------------

The Land of Fire, Konohagakure, Year 53 of the Hidden Leaf Calendar.

This is the heart of the entire continent, and as the sole shinobi village of the most prosperous nation, Konohagakure remains the undisputed leader among shinobi villages, at least in name.

Despite being severely weakened by three great ninja wars and numerous other incidents, Konoha's deep foundation and continuous support from the world's largest nation—the Land of Fire—still allow it to claim the title of the strongest among the Five Great Shinobi Villages.

In this seemingly peaceful nation.

There was a figure that seemed entirely out of place.

A golden-haired boy, about five years old, walked with his head down on the busiest street of Konoha. Along the way, the villagers of Konoha who encountered the boy all avoided him, their eyes filled with disgust, fear, and even faint traces of killing intent as they looked at him.

But the golden-haired boy was unfazed, as if he was used to it. He kept his head down, taking small steps toward his destination. Turning a corner, he arrived at the entrance of a bustling restaurant. Smelling the aroma wafting out, the boy's stomach growled loudly. He leaned against the window, staring longingly at the dishes inside, his eyes betraying an uncontrollable hunger.

At that moment.

The restaurant owner seemed to notice the golden-haired boy. A faint killing intent flickered in the owner's eyes as he waved his hand. A scar-faced, fierce-looking middle-aged man walked out carrying a food box.

"Hmph, this is for you. Take it and scram!" The food box was thrown hard at the boy.

The box spilled open upon impact, scattering rice and dishes onto the ground.

The golden-haired boy quickly squatted down, carefully picking up the spilled food and placing it back into the box. Watching the boy's actions, the middle-aged man's eyes filled with a clear and intense hatred.

If it weren't for the higher-ups of the village instructing him to provide food to the boy regularly, the man would've killed him long ago, let alone fed him. The faint killing intent emanating from the man wasn't a joke; it was real.

"Damn monster! Why don't you just die already!" Though muttered under his breath, it was loud enough for the boy to hear.

The boy's body trembled slightly at the words, but he clenched his lips and kept his head down. After tidying up the box, he held it in his hands and left the restaurant. Walking through the shadows of the streets, he headed in another direction.

Along the way, he tried to avoid crowded places.

Taking winding, secluded paths, the boy finally arrived at a dilapidated apartment building. This was his home. He lived on the third floor. Originally, there were other residents here, but ever since the Third Hokage assigned the boy to live here five years ago, all the other tenants had moved out.

In reality, the boy was the only resident in the building.

After returning to his apartment, the boy skillfully went into the kitchen. Standing on a small stool, he carefully divided the spilled rice and dishes, rinsed off the dirt, discarded the spoiled parts, and reheated the remaining food.

"This place is truly awful. It's been five years since I came to this world, hasn't it? Uzumaki Naruto… what a name filled with irony."

Staring at the food warming on the stove, the boy's face showed a mocking expression far beyond his age. That's right, the golden-haired boy's name was Uzumaki Naruto.

But the current Uzumaki Naruto was no ordinary five-year-old child. He carried the soul of someone who had lived over twenty years in another world.

Of course, his past life and identity were irrelevant now. On that fateful night five years ago, when he arrived in this world, he immediately realized what he had become.

Uzumaki Naruto.

He was in The world of Naruto.

When Naruto fully understood the cruel and cold nature of this world, especially his grim circumstances, he couldn't even muster a fake smile. Yet, he had to pretend to be an innocent child at many moments.

The feeling of wearing a mask.

The hostility from everyone around him. And the constant surveillance by unknown entities.

These past five years had been an immense mental burden for Naruto. In his previous life, reading the manga, he had an idea of how tragic Naruto's childhood was.

But the manga never went into much detail.
