Multiversal Manifestation System

Chapter 41: Chapter 41 - The new store

Bea, who had been watching the entire exchange, frowned deeply. She glanced at Sylvia Evergreen, who was engaged in a discussion with another recruiter. Her bubbly demeanor faded for a moment as she took a step forward, intending to confront Wang Zi.

Before she could reach him, Sylvia called out gently.

"Bea, dear. It's time to finalize your enrollment." Reluctantly, Bea turned back, her frustration evident on her face.

Meanwhile, Xian Mei also observed the interaction. Her expression was as calm as ever, but a slight furrow in her brow betrayed her thoughts. Lulu, her new teacher, noticed this immediately. The renowned psychic chuckled lightly and leaned closer to Xian Mei.

"You've been watching him quite a lot," Lulu teased. "Do you really not like him?"

Xian Mei's expression didn't change, but she responded in her usual soft monotone.

"No. He's just... interesting."

"Oh, is that so?" Lulu grinned mischievously.

"You don't seem the type to pay that much attention to someone. Care to enlighten me?"

Xian Mei hesitated but eventually caved under Lulu's curious gaze.

"He's... unique. Mana doesn't flow properly around him. It resists my commands when he's nearby, and even when I try to probe him, it feels like there's a barrier."

Lulu's eyes gleamed with intrigue.

"Oh?"

Before Xian Mei could continue, Lulu stood and began walking toward Wang Zi, her confident stride drawing the attention of everyone around her. Students whispered among themselves, puzzled and surprised.

"What's she doing?" one murmured. "Why would a Violet Tower recruiter approach an Artist?"

"That guy's just an Artist. What could she want with him?"

Even Wang Zi noticed the commotion as Lulu stopped before him, her smile enigmatic.

"Wang Zi, was it?"

"Yeah, that's me. And you are?" Wang Zi looked at her, his usual smirk appearing.

"Lulu, of the Violet Tower Academy," she said smoothly, her gaze sharp.

"I've heard quite a bit about you from my disciple, Xian Mei."

Intrigued about what Xian Mei had said, Lulu decided to test something.

She subtly reached out with her telekinesis, attempting to sense the flow of mana around him. The moment she did, Wang Zi's expression shifted slightly, and his Rinnegan flared to life.

A pulse of energy pushed her back half a step, making her eyes widen in shock.

The air around Wang Zi felt heavy, oppressive even, as his swirling purple eyes bore into hers. Lulu froze momentarily, stunned not only by his reaction but by the brief glimpse of those eyes.

Recovering quickly, Lulu shot a quick glance at Xian Mei, who was standing nearby, observing the exchange with her usual stoic demeanor.

Lulu's lips curved into a sly smile before she turned her attention back to Wang Zi. Now she was REALLY interested.

Those eyes... And the way mana didn't want to obey her commands near him confirmed what Xian Mei had told her earlier.

"Well, aren't you full of surprises," Lulu said, her voice laced with amusement. "I must admit, I wasn't expecting that."

"Expecting what?" Wang Zi asked, his tone deliberately nonchalant.

"Nothing," she replied, her smile widening.

Without skipping a beat, she leaned closer.

"Wang Zi, have you considered joining the Violet Tower Academy? Your talents seem far beyond the typical Artist class. You'd thrive under our guidance."

"Not interested." Wang Zi raised an eyebrow, his smirk deepening.

Gasps rippled through the nearby students, and murmurs broke out among them. How could an Artist be a good fit for Violet Tower, a psychic academy? And more importantly, why would he decline such an offer?

Lulu, however, remained unfazed. Her fascination with Wang Zi only grew.

"Oh? And why not?" she asked, her voice teasing. "Are we not good enough for you?"

"Let's just say it's not my style."

Her curiosity flared even brighter. Lulu stepped closer, realizing for the first time that Wang Zi's towering frame made it impossible for her to reach his shoulders naturally.

So, without hesitation, she grabbed his arm and pressed it firmly between her ample chest.

The soft, warm sensation caught Wang Zi completely off guard. His brain short-circuited for a moment as Lulu smiled mischievously up at him.

"What are you looking for in an academy, then?" she asked, her sultry voice dripping with intrigue.

Wang Zi stared down at her, momentarily stunned.

His arm was completely enveloped, and he wasn't about to complain. She was beautiful, and the opportunity was free, so why not? He relaxed slightly, letting her hold him.

"I want an academy that can help me study my class," Wang Zi finally said, his tone casual but with an underlying seriousness.

"Somewhere with a lot of people, or vast connections."

"Oh? And why's that?" Lulu tilted her head, her green eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Wang Zi simply smiled at her, his expression unreadable. The system's existence was the only thing that he would take to the grave.

Lulu regarded him for a moment, her amusement clear, but she didn't press further. Instead, she released his arm with a laugh, patting it playfully.

"You're interesting, Wang Zi."

As Lulu stepped back, the students around them buzzed with speculation. Xian Mei, watching from the sidelines, frowned slightly, her gaze lingering on Wang Zi, before shifting to Lulu.

Bea, now standing with Sylvia Evergreen, glanced over as well, her brow furrowed.

Lulu's emerald eyes glimmered with satisfaction as she turned back to Wang Zi, as she spoke.

"We of the Violet Tower, while small in number, have one of the most prestigious academies. Our connections? Unparalleled. If you're looking for influence, resources, or networking to study your class further, we'll provide that and more."

Wang Zi raised an eyebrow.

Lulu leaned in slightly, her playful tone giving way to something more serious.

"We also have a frequent visitor to our academy, a very high-level Artist. She's... unique. Coveted by many for her powerful support abilities. I think you'd learn quite a bit from her."

"Who's this artist?" Wang Zi's curiosity piqued at her words, but his caution remained.

Lulu's lips curved into a sly smile.

"Oh, you'll meet her when the time comes. Let's just say she's... special."

Wang Zi's sharp gaze remained fixed on Lulu, evaluating her sincerity. He mulled over her offer for a moment.

None of the other recruiters seemed to care about artists. And as much as he hated relying on anyone, the Violet Tower's connections could help him spread his works more efficiently, boosting his SP and his earnings significantly.

If this artist turned out to be real, it could be a bonus. If not... well, he had nothing to lose.

"Alright," Wang Zi said finally, his voice calm yet resolute. "I'll give the Violet Tower a shot."

Lulu's smile widened, genuine delight shining through.

"Excellent choice, Wang Zi. I'll make sure you're well taken care of."

As she turned to leave, she paused and glanced over her shoulder, her blonde hair shimmering under the virtual light.

"Oh, one more thing. Those eyes of yours… they give you control over gravity, don't they?"

Wang Zi's expression froze for a moment before narrowing his eyes slightly. He remained silent.

"Don't worry. I have someone at the Violet Tower who's... interested in that field. He'll be a great help to you." Lulu chuckled softly.

With that, she gracefully made her way toward the plaza, her words lingering in the air like a puzzle piece Wang Zi couldn't quite place.

As Wang Zi watched her retreating figure, a notification popped up in front of him:

"Please meet me at the Violet Tower registration area to complete your enrollment procedures. - Lulu"

He dismissed it quickly but noticed another unread message. His brow furrowed slightly as he opened it, only to smile when he saw the sender:

Alexander.

The message was straightforward, asking if they could meet and talk. Wang Zi's grin widened.

"Well, well, the fish finally bit the bait."

"Looks like it's time to start the MMS Shop." His excitement was palpable as ideas for his shop and plans to manipulate the growing interest in him began to take shape in his mind.

Wang Zi watched as the competition drew to a close, the plaza buzzing with a mix of excitement and exhaustion.

The students had made their choices, and the academies were wrapping up their recruitment efforts. He wasn't surprised that Lucius declined every offer.

The rumors about Lucius's family being a colossal powerhouse in the Federation seemed true, and he probably had plans far beyond what any academy could provide.

Similarly, Nila and Lina, the Skymere twins, had also opted out, their elders likely orchestrating their next steps in preparation for something far greater.

As the crowd began to disperse, Wang Zi made his way to the Violet Tower's recruitment booth.

The setup was minimalist yet elegant, with deep purple banners adorned with shimmering silver lettering.

The recruiters were seated behind a sleek table that radiated an air of exclusivity. However, Lulu and Xian Mei were nowhere to be seen.

Approaching the booth, Wang Zi pulled up the message Lulu had sent him, showing it to the recruiter.

The man at the booth, a tall individual with shoulder-length silver hair, examined the message with a raised eyebrow. His gaze lingered on Wang Zi, before nodding and handing him a set of forms.

"So you're the one Lady Lulu contacted," the recruiter said, his tone polite but curious. "Fill these out, and we'll be in touch."

Wang Zi nodded, ignoring the stares from nearby students who were clearly puzzled by the interaction.

He quickly completed the forms, providing only the basic information they required. Once he handed them back, the recruiter gave a slight bow and informed him that he would receive news soon.

"News, huh?" Wang Zi muttered to himself as he left the booth.

As Wang Zi left the plaza, his mind shifted to the meeting with Alexander. It was an opportunity he couldn't ignore - Alexander was not only well-connected but also curious about him, likely because of the Rengoku avatar he had used during the Colosseum fights in the virtual world.

This was the first step toward the MMS Store, and Wang Zi intended to make it count.

He already had a space prepared above the virtual version of the store, the same cozy room where he had summoned Rengoku.

It was a quiet, well-decorated hub with soft lighting, a tea set, and comfortable seating. However, he hesitated to use it for the meeting. That room was meant to serve as a sanctuary for him, a place to meet characters he summoned or simply relax in the virtual world. It was not a space for business dealings.

"Master, you look like you're scheming again."

The soft, teasing voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

Hua'er, his fairy assistant, fluttered into view. Her tiny, glowing form looked as radiant as ever, her white hair flowing behind her and her translucent wings shimmering faintly.

"You caught me," Wang Zi said with a smile. "I'm just thinking about how to handle this meeting."

Hua'er landed on his shoulder, crossing her arms as she tilted her head.

"You know, Master, you don't always have to make things so complicated. Just keep it simple: show him something impressive, make him trust you, and let the SP flow in."

"You're not wrong. But this isn't just about SP. This is about building something… bigger."

"Bigger than SP?" Hua'er gasped dramatically, placing a hand over her chest.

"No way!!"

Rolling his eyes, Wang Zi flicked her lightly, earning a tiny squeak of protest.

Wang Zi's smile faded as his expression turned serious again. The MMS Store was more than just a means to earn points, it was a bridge between worlds.

With Alexander's curiosity and influence, this was his chance to start weaving that bridge, one step at a time.

Wang Zi leaned back in his chair, deep in thought, as he envisioned the exclusivity of the MMS Store's hidden section.

He wanted it to be unique, something that would signify power, mystery, and privilege.

After all, the abilities and items he was planning to sell in this section weren't just valuable; they were impossible by the standards of this universe.

Turning his attention to the Hua'er, he asked,

"Can you create a special card to grant access to an exclusive section of the store? Something only visible to cardholders?"

"Of course master! With the help of the system this is certainly possible. After all this store is the first step to your plans, so the system has given me special privileges!" Hua'er immediately answered.

"Perfect. Let's design this thing."

Wang Zi envisioned the card as a symbol of both simplicity and prestige. Transparent and square, it bore only the Uchiha clan symbol, a red-and-white fan, on one side.

"The Uchiha symbol," Wang Zi muttered to himself, tapping his fingers on the table. "It's iconic and simple. It'll do just fine."

The other side displayed the cardholder's photo and a unique serial number engraved in a clean font. There was nothing else on the card, no unnecessary embellishments or text.

"It's perfect." Wang Zi said, as he held his own card, serial number 1.

Hua'er confirmed the design, and Wang Zi could already imagine the card in Alexander's hand.

"That'll do. Now, let's move on to the room itself." Wang Zi was very satisfied with Hua'er's performance.

"Okay master!" Hua'er beamed.

With the help of the Hua'er, Wang Zi began constructing the exclusive section of the shop.

His vision for the room was simple: it would represent the infinite possibilities of the Multiversal Manifestation System.

The walls were pitch black, barely noticeable, but the entire space was illuminated by countless shining dots, each one representing a universe he had access to, or would eventually unlock.

The stars twinkled faintly, providing a little light to the otherwise dark room.

The centerpiece of the room was a sleek, floating holographic interface, where transactions and exchanges could take place.

The interface allowed customers to browse the inventory and make purchases, all while feeling as though they were standing amidst the cosmos itself.

"Hua'er," Wang Zi called out, summoning his fairy assistant.

She appeared instantly, fluttering in front of him with her usual mischievous grin.

"What's up, Master? You've been quiet for too long, I was starting to worry you'd fallen asleep!"

"I need you to manage this new room." Wang Zi chuckled.

"It's exclusive, and you'll be the one handling all transactions." He gestured at the shimmering stars around him.

"As for me, I'll meet the more important guests. While here i'll have you change my avatar. Shouldn't be a problem right?"

"Of course not master. Not even the virtual brain has as much power over the space here as your little assistant!" Hua'er cheekily said.

"Very nice, then let's change it to this."

With a wave of his hand, Wang Zi summoned a projection of Pain from Naruto, specifically the version seen through the Gedo Statue. Towering and ominous, Pain's avatar radiated authority and menace.

"Oooh! Is that the one from the new show? So cool!" Hua'er's eyes widened in excitement.

"Glad you like it. But remember, I'll only use this form when customers enter this room."

"Got it, Boss!" Hua'er saluted dramatically.

Satisfied with the card design and the room, Wang Zi made one last adjustment. At the far end of the main MMS Store, a new black door materialized.

Its surface was sleek and featureless, except for the glowing Uchiha symbol in the center. The door would remain invisible to anyone who didn't hold one of the access cards, and even if someone stumbled upon it, they wouldn't be able to open it without Hua'er or his approval.

Wang Zi stepped back, admiring his work.

"Looks pretty good." he said, nodding to himself.

He glanced at the message from Alexander, still waiting in his inbox. A smile spread across his face.

"Let's meet our first customer then shall we?"
