Monster Among Monster's

Five minutes passed before Gege came back. He was carrying two children while Zaza walked shoulder to shoulder with him.

[I greet His Majesty!]

“No need for pleasantries.” said Nolan with his attention fully focused on the two babies Gege was carrying. He didn't care about the kneeling Zaza, at least not at the moment.

“Give them to me.”

Gege then gave Nolan the children. It was two boys of about thirteen years of age. Both boys looked identical to one another, like looking at one's reflection. The boys had dark chocolate skin, black hair and black eyes. There wasn't anything extraordinary about these two black kids but Nolan was extremely interested in them.

“Introduce yourselves,” he said.

“My name is Hedge, I am thirteen years old and I was born without Mana Affinity.” said Hedge.

“My name is Edge, I am thirteen years old and I was born with Clogged Mana Veins.” answered Edge.

The two boys answered honestly without hiding anything from Nolan. Nolan nodded in appreciation at their honesty and simple thinking.

“What about your surname, you haven't told me that. Also, your Elemental Affinity, tell me that too.”

“We don't have surnames because our father doesn't believe that we are his children so he didn't share his surname with us. Our mother also couldn't give us her surname because if she did then it would be admitting that she had a relationship outside of marriage so we grew up without one. As for Elemental Affinity, I also don't have it, Edge has Earth Affinity.”

“No surname? I guess you can give yourselves surnames once you grow up and start your own families. As for Hedge, your Talent is straight out trash, it shouldn't even be called Talent, no wonder your father denied you at birth. If I were him, I'd have killed you the minute you were born. Your brother at least is not half bad.” said Nolan.

“Would you really do that if your child was born without Talent? Why do you treat us like this just because we don't have Talent?!Ain't I still your child?! Ain't I still a living being with hopes and dreams?! I also have things I want to accomplish in life! I am human too! Why treat me like an animal when I'm clearly not?! Why judge me based on my Talent alone and overlook everything else?!”vented Hedge as tears ran down his face.

He'd clearly suffered a lot while growing up and had a lot of pent up rage that was on the eve of exploding. For a child to experience such hardships at such an early age showed just how society could fuck someone's entire life up.

“Okay then tell me, without Talent, what can you achieve? Can you fight? Can you protect that which you love? Can you take what you want? Wake up to reality! This is a dog eat dog world! This is an environment where only the strong thrive, weaklings have no place here! This is a place where only Strength can give you what you want, nothing else! Why do you think I'm here while you were kept captive somewhere? Why do you think he's so respectful towards me?! Weaklings shouldn't be allowed to dream, they shouldn't be allowed to breathe, shouldn't even exist!” said Nolan.

Hedge wanted to retort but no words came out of his mouth. Every single word Nolan said was the truth and nothing but the truth. Hedge remembered when his mother begged to not be thrown out of their home. She was spared due to her previous contributions but the two brothers weren't spared and were immediately given to the goblin king as a gift. Their mother was too weak to save them.

He also remembered what their father used to tell them while they were living together; “If you want to make it out of his hell hole then become strong. Become strong enough to be able to control your fate or strong enough to stop others from trying to control your fate.”

“But don't worry, since you're now under my wing, I'll make sure that you reach the peak of your potential matter how small. You and your brother shall become my generals, killing whoever stands in my way. You shall pave my blood with the blood and corpses of my enemies! Your names shall resound far and wide, bringing fear to those who hear it.” said Nolan with excitement. His eyes glowed crazily in excitement for the near future.

The two kids were taken away by Gege to their new rooms since they were now under Nolan's protection, their status had changed and were now being treated like VIP's.

Now, only Nolan and Zaza were left in the king's chambers and Zaza was still kneeling in front of Nolan, who now sat on his throne which was much bigger than Nolan.

“Do you know about the geography of Earth currently? If so then provide me with all the information that you have and don't leave anything out. Also, explain to me the current situation of the world regarding the powerhouses, their territories, their source of power and everything in between.” said Nolan.

A few hours later, Zaza finally finished explaining what he knew about Earth and its current situation.

“You're dismissed!”

“Yes, Your Majesty”

Nolan was now left alone in his room so he could now digest the information he obtained. The information he obtained shocked him to the core. Currently, there were five continents that made up Earth Five Continents, Wind, Water, Fire, Earth and Ice Continents.

These continents were extremely massive, so massive that they were bigger than actual planets and the previous Earth could be compared to a small country or island that are around the coasts of every continent. There also existed floating islands, Dungeons, Towers, Gates and other kinds of phenomena. Countless Races now lived in Earth, some lived in isolation while others acted in the open, created kingdoms and empires that withstood the test of time and existed even today.

And the place they were currently in was actually a small island along the coast of the Earth Continent. Half of this continent was owned by humans and majority of the land was in the hands of the Zodiac Families since they were leading figures of humanity and held immense power.

“Hahaha! Hahaha! Ah hahaha! You old geezers thought that I'd run out of lifespan and actually die in that mountain cave! Unfortunately for you, luck is on my side! Earth has become exciting… very exciting, hahaha! I wonder if the flesh of Elves is more delicious than that of Dragons! The Power System Limit has also increased, now, there are realms that far surpass the Celestial Realm! This is truly a good time to live!”
