Alicia could eat five pounds of steak in one sitting, and Kain's appetite was even more terrifying than hers. 

He had asked Umbrella to research compressed nutrition, or else he would waste too much time eating every day.

After the antidote to the T-virus was distributed worldwide, zombie incidents ceased to occur. Though there were many incidents before, under Umbrella's suppression, the world generally showed a trend of peaceful development. 

This would be Kain's technical support library, assisted by artificial intelligence, and with Apex researchers from all over the world, Kain would certainly receive a lot of help.
