[Blades of Chaos: Forged in the foulest, darkest depths of the underworld and imbued with the primordial flames of both Tartarus and Chaos as well as the spark of the world, this weapon is composed of a pair of indestructible twin blades with unbreakable chains attached to their hilts. Even gods will tremble when they see this in your hands. This is a growth-type weapon that not only focuses and amplifies your own Divine power of any nature but also increases in strength the more essence it absorbs from those it kills. Made from unknown elements, these blades are capable of slaying any being regardless of their type of immortality. Whether they be gods, demons, angels, or embodiments of entire concepts, these two can rip through anyone, making them experience true death. Enchanted to always return to your hands when called and cannot be touched by anyone except you and those you allow. Also, it will return to you if lost or stolen, or if it is somehow taken beyond your realm. Furthermore, it can be stored in the form of a pair of rings for you to wear.

My initial reaction was not one of happiness but of immense astonishment upon receiving the weapon bestowed upon me by the system as the reward. The Blades of Chaos were not merely a famous weapon from the God of War video game series, but they were nearly legendary, owing to the incredible feats Kratos pulled out with them. So, as my surprise waned, I quickly came to a swift realization. This weapon was absolutely perfect for the current me. Yes, it might not possess the reality-bending abilities that many weapons are rumored to have but this was a growth-type item which meant it would never become useless for me, no matter how strong I become. Furthermore, it could help me slay immortals bypassing their immortality while also complementing my fire powers and increasing my divine energy-blended attacks which were everything I needed in a weapon. Of course, the bonus effects were just a cherry on top.

"Blades of Chaos," I eagerly muttered, watching as the leather-bound hilts of the twin sword-like daggers emerged from a pair of small red vortices right in front of me, revealing themselves from my inventory.

Knowing that I had a war to fight against the angel army, I quickly reached forward to grab the handles of the blades without hesitation but quite unexpectedly, the moment I grabbed them, the small broken chains attached to the pommel of the hilts immediately stretched in my direction before tightly wrapping around the length of my wrists.

However, quite strangely, I felt no pain or discomfort because of the chains. Instead, I felt... stronger. I felt connected to the blades like I could somehow sense and control them. It was an amazing sensation that reassured my belief that my new weapon was indeed perfect for me. "These are quite shiny, unlike the original rusted pair in the game," I mused, observing the clear reflection of my face on the two silver blades in my hands, which were now softly glowing red because of the intense heat emanating from them. In fact, the blades were slowly growing so hot that it almost appeared as if liquid magma was coursing through the runic, vein-like patterns etched onto the surface of the metal.

However, as much as I wanted to further admire the twin blades as any other man would in my place, unfortunately, I no longer had enough time to do so as a handful of the angels had already reached me by the time I had finished "bonding" with my new weapon.

Shing Two of the angels swung their scythes at me with all their strength. They even went directly for my head which was quite smart since the head is always the biggest weakness of almost every mortal species... Of course, I wasn't a mortal, and quite unfortunately for them, their strength and speed were no match for mine.

I didn't even have to dodge the strikes. I just used my telekinesis to freeze the angels in mid-air before calmly decapitating the heads of the two female warrior angels. 

'Hmm? What was that? I just felt their souls trying to leave their dead bodies but for some reason, it didn't happen. Both of their souls weren't able to leave the bodies, yet the two are most definitely dead. How curious.' I mused to myself before using my rinnegan to observe the two bodies that fell to the ground like a pair of dead birds. 

'I was right. Their souls were still inside their dead bodies but in a state of irresponsiveness... like a spiritual coma.' I concluded. The two were most definitely dead but it looked like their already weak souls couldn't leave their bodies and would slowly rot or get destroyed alongside their biological bodies if they were not freed somehow. 'Probably some type of curse that has weakened and corrupted their souls over the last couple of millennia while also denying them any afterlife or eternal rest. When the physical bodies of these angels die, their souls get destroyed along with their bodies too... Honestly, I would hate to be buried if I were them because it would mean that their souls would rot and die extremely slowly, which would be horrible torture for the souls locked inside their bodies.' I thought to myself.

[Ding! New Quest received]

[Quest Title: Heven or Hell?]

[Quest Description: Every great god needs their lackeys. As a god, you are the same and these cursed angels are just ripe for the taking. Go ahead and take this heven and its residents for yourself so that you can transform it into a true heaven full of loyal and beautiful servants] 

[Quest Objective: Become the official ruler of Heven, Make the Queen submit to you in front of her people]

[Quest rewards: Astral Manipulation will evolve into Soul Manipulation]

"Accept," I muttered before slightly moving my head to the left in order to dodge an arrow made of light fired at me by one of the angel archers. I didn't know exactly why and how quests were issued by the system, but I could guess that this particular quest was probably triggered because I discovered the curse of the angels. However, I didn't care why the system was promising to give me a skill that could potentially enable me to help the angels escape from this "curse" of theirs as a reward as long as I was the one ultimately benefiting from it. 

"Why are you all attacking him one by one like idiots? He has already killed two of us. This is not the time to show your useless pride as warriors. I need you all to prove yourself worthy of being the Queen's army and bring me his head, NOW!" The angel leader who looked slightly surprised after seeing me kill two of her soldiers so easily, screamed in anger after breaking out of her shock as she glared at me with bloodshot eyes. 

Fighting so many of the angels would be time-consuming especially since each of them was at least as strong as an average Asgardian when it came to raw physical stats although honestly, these angels felt like they were slightly more skilled and experienced when it came to fighting. So, I decided to try out a crowd-control type ability that I had never used in a fight before. "Summoning jutsu" I muttered trying to copy the shinobi from Naruto. 

Immediately, scores of gigantic flying creatures with my red-ringed Rinnegan inside their eye sockets instead of their own eyes appeared from bursts of white smoke, standing fearlessly against the angels without the slightest shred of emotions on their faces. 'The Animal Path of the Rinnegan is more useful than I initially thought. Not only can I feel my control over these beasts, but I can even share their vision as well. They can both function as programmed droids trying to terminate a specific target as well as puppets under my complete control. They are extremely versatile.' 

Swish Whoosh A large number of angels flew towards me at high speeds with their swords and spears while dozens of them began to shoot arrows aimed at me from behind the approaching wave. A lot of them also went after my summons although it looked like they were severely underestimating the creatures unlike me.

In response, I simply blocked the arrows with telekinesis while using my telepathy to mess with their minds a little. They had very strong mental shields guarding their minds but still, my telepathic abilities were enough to cause some confusion among the archers by making some of them shoot each other or shoot at random directions by messing with their sense of direction to distract them. 

The Blades of Chaos too began to burn brighter in my hands as I began swinging the swords with ease. The magically growing chains attached to the blades gave me an extreme advantage since I no longer had to worry about the distance between the edge of my blades and my enemies. Every swing of my blade could easily reach my target, no matter how far away they were from me. With each swing of my Chaos blades, angels began to fall from the sky like dead flies with huge burnt slashes across their bodies despite their heavy armor. 

A lot of people in my place might have hesitated to kill them so brutally especially since they were all female, but there was not a single bit of hesitation in any of my moves. They had stood against me and that was all that mattered. They wouldn't hesitate for even a single moment to end my life, so why would I when I wasn't even the one who threatened first? And who knows, maybe I would even revive all of them if the Queen prostrated in front of me hard enough although it would depend on her devotion and my mood. 

"Burn!" I focused my energy and the flames of my Ryujin Jakka around the Blades of Chaos as I began swinging them in a clockwise motion, making them look like two enormous wheels of fire lighting the surrounding area like a bright lamp before bringing them to a stop with the blades being aimed at the hundreds of angels still floating in front of me. Burning fire immediately began to rain down from the sky on the army of angels. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.

In just a few moments, almost the entire sky was empty with hundreds of unmoving angels lying strewn on the ground, smoke still rising from their scorched bodies. The rest who had tried to run away or dodge the fire were mostly hunted down by my flying summons and then mauled, clawed, or bitten to their bloody deaths. Only about a dozen angels had managed to survive with their bodies intact and they were currently doing their best to protect the angel leader by making a barricade around her.

"Not bad, the Blades really do boost my fire-based attacks. In fact, even the fire itself feels different. It's almost like the fire is more... divine in nature now." I mumbled to myself while surveying the damage done to the area by the attack which was quite a lot since it looked as if a volcano had erupted in this place just a few minutes ago. "Also, I am happy that you are still alive. I thought I had gone so overboard that I would have to revive you." I snickered. 

Instantly snapping the necks of the surviving angels with my telekinesis, I slowly floated toward the commander who was giving the commands till now. "I told you that I would make you regret it, didn't I?" I whispered near her ears. "Now, before we move forward with our game, you should tell me where your Queen is. After all, this would be so much easier for you if you were to just submit and tell me everything I need." I said before plunging one of the swords into her shoulder, the red-hot blade searing into her flesh. "Or we could just play together for a while, just the two of us. After all, I have quite some free time."
