Chapter 4: Unleashing the Mysteries
Forest nearby River Sibestia, Tursia
Hearing Lucifer, Massimo turned back and asked,"What have you found, Lucifer?"
"Look along where I am pointing my finger at",Lucifer's voice shook with enthusiasm.
Massimo tried to see what Lucifer was trying to show. Then he understood that he was talking about the Rhodus Caves. Massimo was expecting something better. He asked with a disappointed voice,"And what is so special about that cave?"
"This cave is connecting Tursia and the Arizona Desert."Lucifer said, being surprised, seeing Massimo silent.
"Is it?" Massimo asked.
"Yeah. I have also heard about that one. That can be very useful and a great advantage for Barren for their war. We have to return and tell them. " Emma replied.
"We will. But first let's take a look at the cave. I am eager to enter there. " Massimo said, looking at the cave.
All three of them entered there and started observing every minute detail they could find. After observing a while, suddenly Emma asked, lowering her voice,"Is that what I am thinking?"
"You are right. There are footprints on the ground. We are not the first here. Be careful. " Massimo said quickly with a cautious voice.
"We should return and inform the King. " Lucifer said.
"Not so early. You have known more than you should be. Tie up all of them. " A strange voice was heard.
They looked back and were surprised. All of them exclaimed in chorus, "Aaron, you?"
The stranger, named Aaron, ordered his companions,"Do it fast we have to leave the place."
"The sword in your hand is the sword of Henry V, right?" Massimo asked.
"And what if it is?" Aaron asked.
"How do you manage to find that?"
"It is no use for you to know them. "
"I know that you have stolen that. Because it's more expensive than your entire clan. " Massimo said with a smirk on his face.
"Stop talking or I will cut your tongue with this sword." Aaron said, showing his sword to Massimo.
His companions tied all of them with a pillar of the cave and they left the cave.
"I have told you before to leave the place. But you found it more useful to travel to the cave, which is why we are in this situation. You will be responsible if we die here. " Lucifer said with a sigh.
Tursia Palace, Inner Hall
"The messenger has arrived with a letter, Lord. " The guard said to the King, Henry the VII.
"Let him enter. I know what is in the letter. " Henry the VII ordered the guard.
The messenger arrived, holding a letter in his hand.
Bowing his head down, the messenger said, "Your majesty, I have brought a letter from Barren."
"Read it aloud." King ordered.
After opening the letter, the messenger started to read it.
"To
Henry the VII,
Ruler of Tursia,
It is with a heavy heart, yet resolute spirit, that I am composing this letter. It has gone too far than I was thinking. So I have decided that this conflict must have an end. Many actions taken by you have left me no choice but to declare, on the behalf of my kingdom, Barren, a state of war between our realms.
I hope that you and your soldiers will surrender after reading this letter, preventing further bloodshed. But if you persist in this conflict, I assure you that my army is ready to give yours a head on collision. This is for the safety and security of my people. The consequences of this war will lay solely on your shoulders. Make sure you can handle all of them.
Alfred Williams,
Ruler of Barren
After finishing the letter, the messenger looked at the King, hoping for a reply.
"You can go now. I will send my reply to your King. Henry the VII said in an oblivious voice.
"As you wish, Lord." The messenger bowed his head and left.
"Tell every congressman and intellectual that there will be a meeting in the evening. " After saying this, the King plunged into thought again.
Soldier Barracks, Barren
Eating his lunch, Adam was thinking what to do next.
'From what I saw, the King does not seem to be very serious about Charles, so I will have to do what I have to do.' Adam thought.
Finishing his meal, Adam thought that he would notice the guy Mortal more from then. He was pretty sure that he had a connection with their enemy bases. But to do this, he needed an ally whom he could trust. So he recalled Mike. He knew that he also had a grievance against Mortal. For this, Mike was an easy choice to trust.
So, he went to him and asked, "The Mortal guy is pretty suspicious, don't you think?"
"Yes but why do you bother to ask?" Mike asked.
"I think he has killed Charles. " Adam lowered his voice.
"How can you be so certain?" Mike also lowered his voice.
"I will tell you later. But first tell me, can I trust you? I need you to help me." Adam said, looking with a sharp vision.
"Any revenge?" Mike asked.
"Kind of. But first assure me." Adam replied.
"You can trust me. I also have a personal issue with that guy. I am also looking for a chance." and added,"Can we add one more person? I know him very well."
"No, don't. The lesser the better. Make sure the King shouldn't know about this."
"Alright."
Meeting at Tursia Palace
"How dare they say that we should surrender? We are no less from them in terms of strength. We should show no mercy against them." One of the councillors showed his grievance with a loud voice.
"I also agree with him. We should also declare war from our side. Our strategy is ready and I find no reason to hold back." An intellectual said.
They all were submerged in their meeting so much that they didn't notice how hours passed and it was about to midnight.
"The meeting's over. You all can go home now. The final announcement will be announced tomorrow dawn." King ordered.
As it was a full moon night, there was no difficulty in returning home. They went home talking among themselves. The King was looking at the unprecedented moon and the ambience as the beautiful glow of the moon entered the bedroom and brightened the surroundings. He knew that it would be the last full moon night he was looking so far. The next few days will be very difficult. Blood would be seen and lament would be heard everywhere. Then the moon would also be shaded in the hues of red. Remembering this, the King sighed.
