Laid-back Highschooler In Bleach (With Soul Cube)

Ch126- Yuzu

Meanwhile, Yukio activated his Fullbring, creating a digital screen. Moe stood beside him, an anticipatory grin forming. "Two against one? Hardly fair."

Isshin chuckled, drawing his Zanpakutō. "Who said anything about fair?"

Jackie moved closer to Karin, her Fullbring Dirty Boots activating. "I've got nothing against you, kid. But this is war."

Karin tightened her grip on her Zanpakutō. "War or not, I'm not backing down."

Riruka eyed Yuzu, giggling as she sucked her lollipop. "Well, aren't you just a precious little thing? It's almost a shame, really."

Yuzu glanced at her Zanpakutō, then back at Riruka. "Don't underestimate me."

Yuzu took a deep breath, gripping her Zanpakutō firmly. Across from her, Riruka looked casual, her eyes filled with a mix of amusement and curiosity.

"Bloom, Hikarikage," Yuzu whispered, her sword transforming into a staff with an orb that emitted both light and shadow at its apex. The room seemed to brighten and darken at the same time.

Riruka popped her bubblegum, unimpressed. "So you've got a shiny stick. What's it do?"

"Wait a moment, please," Yuzu said, closing her eyes. She focused, a soft glow emanating from the orb. The light seemed to dance, as if teasing her opponent.

"Seriously? You're asking me to wait?" Riruka's voice dripped with disbelief. She snapped her fingers, and a small stuffed animal appeared, launching toward Yuzu at surprising speed.

Yuzu's eyes flew open just in time, and she swatted the toy away with her staff. The impact sent a burst of light flying, disintegrating the stuffed animal. "I warned you."

Riruka frowned, her lighthearted facade crumbling. "You think that's going to stop me?"

Yuzu gripped her staff, uncertainty filling her eyes. "I… I don't know. But I have to try."

Riruka's Fullbring activated, turning small everyday items in the room into weapons. Stuffed animals, toy guns, and even a dollhouse became menacing. "Let's play, then!"

Toys charged at Yuzu, who swung her staff, sending a wave of light that incinerated them. But she stumbled, losing her focus.

"Crap," she muttered, regaining her balance.

Riruka chuckled. "What's the matter? Lose your footing?"

Yuzu shook her head, ignoring the taunt. She focused on the orb, her hands trembling slightly. The room dimmed as the shadows from her staff merged, forming a dark spear aimed at Riruka.

"Here goes nothing," Yuzu whispered, and the spear flew, fast as an arrow.

Riruka dodged, but not without effort. "You're stronger than you look."

"Thank you. Could you wait a moment?" Yuzu asked, the energy of her staff waning.

"You're kidding, right?" Riruka summoned more toys, but this time Yuzu was ready. The orb atop her staff burst with light, vaporizing the incoming objects.

Her eyes met Riruka's, filled with newfound determination. "I'm still learning, but I can't let that be an excuse. I chose to be here, and I'll fight with everything I've got."

The words hung heavy in the air, charged with an emotion that took Riruka aback. This was no mere child; this was someone who fought with conviction, clumsy or not.

Riruka sighed, her gaze softening for a split second. "Alright, enough games." She pulled a miniature house from her pocket, expanding it into life-size with her Fullbring. "Time to bring you into my dollhouse!"

Yuzu found herself inside Riruka's life-sized dollhouse, surrounded by an assortment of cutesy furniture and decorations that felt oddly ominous given the circumstances.

"Welcome to my world," Riruka grinned, snapping her fingers. Toy soldiers sprang to life, brandishing miniature weapons. "Hope you're ready for a housewarming gift."

Yuzu tightened her grip on her staff, her knuckles turning white. "I'd rather not receive any gifts, thanks."

The toy soldiers charged. Yuzu swept her staff, a wave of light erupting from the orb, disarming the miniature army. She exhaled, feeling the exertion.

Riruka rolled her eyes, "That all you got? Light shows?"

"No," Yuzu took a deep breath, clutching her locket. "Hikari no Hogo."

The air shimmered around her, and a halo of light appeared above her head. The room seemed to purify, weakening the dark energy Riruka's Fullbring emitted.

"What's this? A little heavenly intervention?" Riruka taunted, but her eyes narrowed.

Toys surged forward again, this time in larger numbers. Yuzu projected Kokoro no Kage, a shadowy heart-shaped barrier absorbing the attacks. The dark energy converted into healing light, rejuvenating her.

"I told you, I'm still learning," Yuzu's eyes glinted with conviction. "But I won't let that stop me."

Riruka's lips tightened. She wasn't playing anymore. "Fine. Time to end this charade."

More toys transformed into grotesque creatures, their forms a mockery of childhood innocence. Yuzu felt her energy waning. Every sweep of her staff grew heavier, each burst of light dimmer. Riruka's Fullbring was adapting, learning her patterns.

Yuzu stumbled again, nearly falling. "Crap."

Riruka laughed, "I told you, you're too predictable!"

In that moment, Yuzu felt it—a flicker in her locket, a pulse of warmth from her family photo. She looked at Riruka, her eyes locking onto hers.

"Keiyaku no Hikari to Kage," Yuzu whispered.

A pact formed, albeit with herself. Her staff glowed brighter, its light and shadow becoming more potent. Yuzu felt her healing energies amplify.

"Last chance to give up," Yuzu warned, her staff radiating an almost blinding light.

Riruka scoffed, "As if I'd—"

Before she could finish, Yuzu channeled the final aspect of her Fullbring—Seiō no Hōyō. She became a beacon of light and shadow, her staff no longer just a weapon, but an extension of her will.

"I won't give up. I can't," Yuzu's voice resonated, ethereal and unwavering.

With a swift motion, she aimed her staff at Riruka. A blinding lance of light and a penetrating spear of shadow shot forth, intertwining in a spiral. Riruka tried to dodge, but this was different, unpredictable. It struck her, nullifying her Fullbring and sending her sprawling on the floor.

Yuzu lowered her staff; the room reverting to its original form, her Fullbring's energy finally exhausted. She swayed on her feet, drained but relieved.

Riruka lay there, stunned, finally looking up at Yuzu. "You… you win."
