Ch107- Time To Get Serious
"Watch out!" Shinji warned as Aizen suddenly appeared behind Hiyori. His blade just a breath away from her neck. Without hesitation, Rose intervened, a melodic tune bursting forth from his zanpakuto. The ground trembled as thorny vines surged towards Aizen.
With a mere flick of his blade, Aizen dispelled the vines and countered with a Kido. "Hado #90. Kurohitsugi!" The dark coffin encased Rose within it. A swift intervention by Love, with his kanabo, attacked the kido, but both were trapped withing the Kido, thier condition unknown.
Aizen didn’t miss a beat. As Kensei moved in for a strike, a golden beam of light seared towards Aizen. "Hado #88. Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō!" Hachi shouted. Aizen tilted his head slightly, effortlessly avoiding the beam. With speed almost imperceptible, he stood before Hachi, his sword poised.
Mashiro, with her Hollow mask donned, lunged at Aizen. A cyclonic whirlwind formed around her leg, "Mashiro Super Kick!" she exclaimed. Aizen merely sidestepped, causing her to crash into the ruins of the surrounding landscape.
Aizen moved like liquid mercury, effortlessly evading and repelling every assault launched his way. With the trademark smile never leaving his face, he engaged with the assembled Gotei 13 and the Visored, showing the vast gulf in power that existed between them.
Ukitake, with his twin-bladed zanpakuto, sent forth a volley of charged energy waves. Each arced and twisted, seeking to trap Aizen in a deadly net. Aizen glanced at the white-haired captain, raising a hand and sending the waves spiraling back with a Kido. "Bakudo #81: Dankū," he chanted, creating a barrier to block Ukitake's attack. The wall shimmered and dispersed, revealing Aizen standing unscathed.
Soi Fon, renowned for her speed, attempted a sneak attack, her zanpakuto poised for a two-hit kill. Just as she lunged, Aizen's voice rang out, "Bakudo #61: Rikujōkōrō!" Golden bands materialized, attempting to ensnare her. She narrowly evaded, only for Aizen to appear right behind her, hand reaching for her throat.
With Aizen at the center, the battlefield had become a swirling vortex of energy and movement. The devastating power and cunning of the former captain was evident as he made swift moves against his assailants. His demeanor remained unchanging, a testament to his overwhelming confidence and power.
Kyoraku's shadow shifted, blending with the dark parts of the terrain, taking form as it lunged towards Aizen. "Kageoni!" he exclaimed, but Aizen, anticipating the move, fluidly danced around the shadow's attack.
"I always enjoyed your games, Kyoraku," Aizen mused, his smile never wavering.
Kyoraku responded with a smirk, twirling his zanpakuto. "Always a pleasure to entertain, Aizen."
Their words belied the intense, lethal dance they were engaged in. Kyoraku sent a wave of energy, but with a simple gesture, Aizen deflected it with "Bakudo #39: Enkosen," a shimmering circular shield erupting in front of him.
Soi Fon, having narrowly avoided Aizen's earlier attack, was once again on the offensive. With the swiftness of a hawk, she tried to land her two-hit death strike. Aizen, however, was prepared. As she approached, he chanted, "Hado #73: Sōren Sōkatsui!" A brilliant blue energy erupted, aimed directly at Soi Fon. She managed to weave around it, her agility unparalleled, but couldn't get close enough to land her strike.
Ukitake, taking advantage of Aizen's distraction, maneuvered himself to release another wave of charged energy, hoping to surround Aizen. But Aizen, always three steps ahead, uttered, "Bakudo #63: Sajo Sabaku!" Chains erupted from the ground, seeking to bind Ukitake. Though they managed to wrap around him, Ukitake's resilience wasn’t to be underestimated. With a surge of energy, he shattered the chains, but the momentary distraction allowed Aizen to close the distance.
Kensei, with his militaristic precision, advanced, hoping to overpower Aizen with sheer brute force. His fists radiated an explosive energy. But every punch, every shockwave, was effortlessly dodged or deflected by Aizen.
Amidst this, Aizen's blade suddenly moved to strike at Lisa, his movement blindingly fast. But just as the blade was about to make contact, a mysterious barrier appeared, blocking the attack. Lisa, momentarily taken aback, launched her counter-offensive, swinging her zanpakuto with renewed vigor.
Mashiro, seeing an opening, donned her Hollow mask, her power amplifying manifold. She darted towards Aizen, her movements fueled by both anger and the raw power of her mask. "Mashiro Super Punch!" she yelled, the air crackling around her fist. But Aizen, without so much as a glance, sidestepped the powerful attack. As Mashiro tried to reorient herself, she found herself face-to-face with Aizen's blade. Yet, before it could strike, that mysterious force blocked it again, shielding her.
Aizen's gaze, for the briefest moment, showed a hint of intrigue. "Interesting," he mused, his smile deepening.
The battlefield was alive with the sounds of clashing zanpakuto, powerful kido chants, and the shouts of battle. Aizen's form, though central, seemed to be everywhere, his presence oppressive. Every time they thought they had him cornered, he would emerge elsewhere, as if mocking their efforts.
Ukitake, combining forces with Kyoraku, tried to trap Aizen in a pincer attack. The duo's coordination, honed over centuries, was impeccable. But even that was not enough. Aizen, sensing the trap, simply intoned, "Hado #33: Sōkatsui!" releasing a torrent of blue flames. The captains, though skilled, found themselves on the back foot.
Through it all, Captain-Commander Yamamoto watched, his expression grave. He saw the various captains and Visored, powerful in their own right, struggling against a single entity. The sheer difference in power was evident. Aizen, for all his traitorous actions, was formidable.
"It is time to get serious." Aizen smiled as he revealed his chest. Now, at the center of it, the Hogyoku took place, pumping power into his body. His very form began to shift and mutate, evolving into something else entirely. The area around him began to tremble, and the sky darkened as a chilling aura emanated from him.
The captains and the Visored felt the overwhelming power surge, and it became evident they were now against a foe beyond comprehension. Their earlier struggles paled in comparison to the sheer force now in front of them.
