"That's obviously cheating!!"

"How is it cheating when you tell someone to not do one thing and they don't do it? They're not doing what you don't want them to."

"But she told you all about us! She even helped you!"

"All Celes did was to make clones of us inside the carriage. That had nothing to do with helping us.

Now, think of what would have happened if she had not made those clones.

Wouldn't Taika sense them anyway and be more worried of us or what we were up to?

Think about it.

She would have come up to the carriage and found us as well as our clones that weren't us.

She would be confused and then she would think about what was the real ones, but before she could have done that, we would have vanished anyway and reached you.

Even if Celes didn't tell us about everything going on in the house, we have access to the entire house's surveillance system, so after coming inside the house, I would have taken over the system and found you and then done the same.

Regardless of how Taika acts, we would have access to the entire house, and even if the Povpoi are stationed in various places, they aren't much of a threat to us anyway.

Besides, as you know already, they aren't going to go against Mave's words, and Mave will listen to me even if you try to buy her off like you did with Celes.

If not even that… do you think I don't know what to talk about with Zoe?

Now that we were all home, and now that Anna has calmed down, it was responsibility to tell her what she had done wrong.

Also, it was my responsibility to tell her what she had done better in order to make her plans a success.

"You should have bought off Rein instead of Celes and made sure to temporarily remove my authority on the house's system.

You should have told uncle El to put up a few firewall temporary by attaching an extra power supply to the system so that even if were to try and hack into the system, I wouldn't get enough time to do so without using a lot of strength.

Then, you would have asked Zoe to do you a favour instead of just asking her to keep me inside the carriage.

Lastly, you should have done a better job with information management. Even if Celes doesn't help me, with the Povpoi knowing about the whole plan, it becomes pretty easy to get the information about what you were going to do."

She made mistakes this time, but, knowing her, she wouldn't take long to learn what she had done wrong herself and improve herself.

She was smart and she had skills that were unique to her alone. They helped her with a lot of things, and since she knew how to understand the emotions of the others, she knew very well what was the best counter to each of the tactics that anyone could logically make.

She was smart, so telling her only this much was enough for her to understand her mistakes and come up with the strategy to make a better plan the next time.

'And I have no doubt she will do a better job next time.'

None of the people listening to us right now would have any doubts about it actually.

'Be it mom and dad, uncles and aunts, or our grandparents. They had seen her grow up these past few months themselves.'

Unlike us who were away at the academy, they were here most of the time and were seeing her get better with her sword, with her energy manipulation, with her understanding and knowledge of herself and of this world, and she was also doing well.

'Anna had grown well. We can tell just by looking at her that she must have put quite a bit of effort into achieving her current stats.'

She didn't have any extra skills for growth like me or a unique disposition like Rein, and yet she had improved beyond my predictions.

'She was growing so quickly… I… well, it isn't in my hands.'

The thoughts that she put behind this whole 'surprise' wasn't bad at all. In fact, she did well with most of the things.

If it wasn't us she was surprised and someone else in our position, she would have succeeded as well.

'Sadly… her big brother and sister were a little too competitive when it came to these fun things.'

If she wanted to surprise me, she would have to do a little better.

I'm sure she will succeed after a dozen or so tries, so until then, our little game will go on and I will continue teaching-.

"No no no! This isn't fair! This is cheating!" The little girl shouted at me once again, a red blush present on her face.

She did not like this, it was obvious to all of us. But, just like how mom couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction, I couldn't help but smile at her warmly.

"Anna…"

I stood up from my chair and picked her up.

She resisted, but gave up when I took out a gift box I had brought for her from the academy.

"Take this as a compliment when I say you did well. Very well."

There's a lot of children out there who wouldn't even think about why their elder siblings were always popping out of nowhere and surprising them every time they come home.

I don't talk with her when I'm at the academy and she doesn't get to talk to me either. We are only talking when I'm at home and every time I'm home, I surprise her in some way.

She didn't know when I'll come before her when we visited outside of our longer holidays, but whenever I came home for the longer holidays, even though she was expecting us, I still managed to surprise her.

'Now, a different twelve year old wouldn't have thought much about it, but she didn't like how I was the one that surprised her all the time.'

She took the initiative and tried to surprise me and used all the things she could, and yet she failed.

'Perhaps she will fail the next time, and the following time as well.'

I will make sure to do every single thing I can to be the one to surprise her, using whatever means I have to in order to do it, so she will have to try harder each time she makes a plan.

Surprising me in any situation will be a difficult task for her from now on, and yet, I know she will do well.

"You can do it. Think a little more about how you can utilise the abundance of resources, the many people that you have in your arsenal.

Learn more from those who have achieved what you want to do, in this case, your sister Rein and mom.

Think differently… anyone could have thought of using Taika or the Povpoi's help since they are right before you but, did you think of asking the spirits that we have here?

You had the entire basement full of 'stuff' and people that know how to use those things. You could have very well blocked the house itself so that I don't come and… well, I'm not going to give you all the ideas so think about it yourself."

I knew she was making a mental note of all the things I was saying. I knew what this little red goblin of mine thought.

She was acting as if she was more interested in the present I gave her, but she was in fact listening closely to my words.

She was clever. And with the ability to read my emotions… she had the potential to become a better actor than even me.

"Think about it…"

We were still in the garden since mostly everyone was outside. But we all have to go back inside.

It was evening already so, dinner time was approaching.

We have to go back to Rein's house to pick her stuff tomorrow morning since we have to leave a few days after that.

It was going to be a lot of work tomorrow so we have to rest as well. So…

"You could do much better, my little love."

We should go inside the house now. Yes.

"Oh, big brother. Ast wanted to talk to you about something… she mentioned something like she found the spot you asked her about? Something like that."

A great and unexpected news actually.

A while back, President and I found out about SanSan's ability to make energy pills with his Pinnacle skill.

With that ability, we theorised that we could make a certain kind of energy concentrate that can do stuff that not even the best of my potions can.

With the help of the headmaster, we theorised and created the thing we were looking for on paper, something that we had only finished recently.

And thanks to that, we reached a conclusion, and also proved that making it was possible.

Now, we only needed a certain kind of place that had a certain kind of environment to do this experiment… and at last, we have also found that.

'We should just bring the president and Cradle with us.'

I'm pretty sure having them with us will make this vacation much more fun.

And since they aren't doing anything special in the academy anyway, they should also have fun in the northern ocean with us.

'Our family liked them anyway.'

And, Anna will have another friend to play with.

This vacation of ours might just turn out to be a lot more fun than we have imagined~.
