In My Feelings

I came back from the office quite pissed today and mummy had to add fuel to the fire by reminding me that I had just one week to introduce the girl I want to marry, I went to my room and freshened up then I decided to complete some office work before I head to the gym. I wanted to go to the lounge downstairs but dad's friend was here and I wasn't in the mood to talk so I went to the lounge upstairs, on my way there, I met Liam and we went together. When we got there, the first thing I noticed was a small figure curled up on a sofa at the far end of the room, she looked like she was engrossed in whatever she was doing cause she didn't even notice our entrance, she wasn't actually going to interrupt what we were going to do but I just didn't feel like having any company so I asked Liam to go and send her out while I set up the laptop and the projector

He later came back saying she had refused to leave, I hissed as I walked over to where she was.

She was actually a beautiful damsel even with such minimal make up her still looked gorgeous, I'm sure she's beautiful even without makeup

God what am I thinking

I quickly pushed that thought away, when I got to where she was seated, I snapped my fingers at her face, she looked at me in an askance way and was unfazed by the daggers I sent her way, actually I think I was carried away by her innocent look, I underestimated her and watched as she insulted and humiliated me, never had anyone been so disrespectful towards me, not my sisters or even Liam had ever spoken to me in that manner

If I ever called her beautiful or a damsel then I'm definitely taking it back

I am not about to let her go Scott free after doing this to me, she must pay. She will regret ever messing with someone like me, I will make sure of that, I stormed out of the room cause if I'd stood there, with the anger boiling in me, I would've rearranged that oh so beautiful face of hers. Foolish girl, I muttered as I headed for the gym to vent out my frustration.

A week later

I was in my room making some research on my PC when Emma knocked at my door and entered "Dave?" she called "what??"I asked not looking up from what I was doing "daddy and mummy are calling you, they're in daddy's parlor and they said to come now" she informed and left

I know exactly what they want to talk about and I'm afraid I'm still not ready for it, I even totally forgot about it, I wonder what I'm going to say to them

I quickly dragged myself to daddy's parlor as Emma said, right now the last thing I'll want is to get my dad angry, and his anger is not one you'd like to see

When I got to the room, I entered. They were discussing something but they stopped when I entered, I greeted them both and sat on the rug "umm, dad, you sent for me?" I said acting oblivious

"don't pretend like you don't know why we called you here, I'll go straight to the point, have you found a wife?" he asked "I've been trying but most of the girls nowadays are only out to deceive people, I still couldn't find the right person but I will eventually," I said indirectly begging him to give me more time

"Don't worry, you don't have to stress yourself, we've got you covered, in fact I have two options for you to choose from" dad said with a smile

"But da..."he cut me off "don't even start, even GOD is my witness, he knows that I gave you enough time to get a wife but you clearly couldn't do that and I am not keeping you in my house any longer, else you would turn 70 as a bachelor" he said sternly, I kept mute

"As I said, I've got two options for you to choose from and you have only 24hours to do that, if not I will get you married to the one of my choice" he paused and I sighed as I waited for him to continue

"Well, the first girl is Mia, your Aunt Hannah's first daughter and the second is Anna, the first daughter of my good friend Mr. Raymond" my head jerked up at his last statement "your friend???" I blurted "Yes, the one that visited some days back" he said with a smile etched to his face

"But he has two daughters" I said again"

"Yes well, I was talking about his first daughter, Anna, she just returned recently and is working as a neurologist" he added as if that was supposed to make me feel better

So he is talking about that girl that talked back to me at the lounge

Humph

There is no way in a million years that I'd agree to marry that girl, but Mia is no better either, she's such a spoilt brat, and now that she has gone abroad, I wonder what has become of her

"Okay, I'll think about it and get back to you" I said and made to stand up

"You have 24hours to do that" he pressed sternly, I nodded
