Chapter 5: Studying this new world
<<<6 years later>>>
I am now fully aware of this new world and have been reading countless histories of it. Unlike Earth, this world is named Avidya Rahendor. It has two main magical factions: the Warrior Mages and the Battle Mages. There are also different races here in Avidya: Humans, Orcs, Elves, and Vampires. However, their differing interests have caused conflicts among them, leading to constant war in the past. Humans were considered the weakest race back then, which is why they were targeted by most other races.
But everything changed when a human 9-star mage named Fortunaelis appeared five centuries ago and resolved the ongoing conflicts between humans and other races. With the emergence of the 9-star mage, the perception of humans as the "weakest race" shifted, leading to more equal treatment among the races. The Elves declared a peace treaty with the Humans, allowing them to coexist peacefully. The Orcs, on the other hand, remained indifferent and silent, still looking down on Humans and treating them as weak beings. The Vampires do not have their own kingdoms, but some coexist with humans, feeding on animals or other creatures instead of humans. However, there are still Vampires who refuse to mingle with humans and continue to kill.
I also learned some magic words during my research, but as expected, I can't use any magic, just like the priest said six years ago.... Anyways, There are thirteen months in this world, each named different than the ones we have on Earth, and every last month of the year, is called Fortunaelis(named after to honor the 9 star mage), and during that month will concur the yearly assessment for the newborns in this world, from commoners to nobles they will be assessed to determine their rank and what type of magic they possess.
Most of the nobles possess far greater magical knowledge and power unlikely to the Commoners.
So most of the time commoners are deemed to have low magic skills that's why commoners will stay as commoners and nobles will still remain a nobility.
But there was one thing I couldn't find throughout my research, it was anything related to Necromancy. Every book I searched in the library didn't contain any information related to necromancy ability. And the screen I saw six years ago during my baptism hasn't reappeared ever since. Well of corse I also tried to look for a way to return back to earth but as expected there's none too....
As I was on my way home, I spotted my mom surrounded by neighboring villagers. She looked distraught, on the verge of tears.
I hurried over and asked, "Mom, what happened?"
"Azrael, my son, huhu, your father has gone missing while hunting," my mother sobbed.
"What?! Is anyone looking for him? What happened?" I asked, my heart begans to race.
"They said they're looking for him, but there's still no news. I've been waiting for almost five hours now. The rescuers came back, but they couldn't find your father, huhu," she replied,as she cries. I don't know what to do, everything started to spin, and my heart raced even faster.
A man approached us and said, "Hello, I'm one of the rescuers looking for your husband. We've tried everything to find him, but as it's almost dark, we'll have to consider him dead and untraceable. He's most likely been eaten by monsters in the forest. I'm sorry for your loss."
I got angry at what he said and shouted, "Bullshit! My father isn't dead! Please keep searching for him!" I pleaded with them.
"Hey kid, we can't risk continuing the search for your father. It's getting dark, and the monsters become more active at night. There's nothing more we can do," the rescuer replied, his voice firm.
"No! I can't accept that!" I shouted and ran as fast as I could.
"Hey kid!" the rescuer called after me, but I was already sprinting into the forest.
"Stop him! Azrael, come back here!" my mother yelled as she chased after me.
