I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 90: The Teleportation Crystal

Chapter 90: The Teleportation Crystal

On the other side, Yin returned to the City Lord and relayed Little Princess’s request to him.

“An item with teleportation capabilities, huh? I suppose that’s exactly what they need right now.”

Their request had already been anticipated by the City Lord. For travelers like them, having a teleportation item was of utmost importance.

“So, City Lord, what’s your plan? Are you going to give the item to those two?”

“Sure, why not? It’s not like that item is of any use to me anyway. I’m definitely not leaving this city; it’s my utopia.”

Besides, he initially collected that thing because he thought it was valuable. If Little Princess and her companions really need it, then giving it to them is no big deal. For him, it was merely an attractive trinket; he didn’t lack pretty items in his collection.

“Alright, I understand. Do you need to go find that collection piece now? I’m worried that if we wait until morning, we might run out of time.”

Yin suggested they take advantage of the remaining time and head to the Treasure House to find the teleportation item right away.

“No rush, no rush. It’s a piece of cake for me to find something that belongs to my collection. I remember exactly where every piece is kept. I can go to the Treasure House myself tomorrow. No need to trouble you.”

“Okay, I got it. Then I’ll take my leave now. By the way, City Lord, is your back still hurting? Will you recover by tomorrow?”

“Don’t worry, I have confidence in my recovery ability. I won’t even need until tomorrow morning; I should be fine by tonight. You should get some rest too; we have plenty of work to do tomorrow.”

The City Lord waved goodbye to Yin, urging her to rest. They had a lot to accomplish the next day. How could they manage without a good night’s sleep?

“Thank you for your concern, City Lord. I’ll go rest now. Goodbye.”

After bowing to the City Lord, Yin left the room and headed back to her Rest Room.

“That teleportation item… where on earth did I put it?”

Once Yin left, the City Lord climbed out of bed. He couldn’t quite remember where he had stored that thing, so he needed to find it quickly. Yin had helped him a lot today; he couldn’t burden her further. This was something simple he could handle by himself. After all, he was very familiar with the Treasure House, and he could easily find it once he got there.

“Oh, here it is! That was easy to find!”

Not long after arriving at the Treasure House, the City Lord found the Teleportation Crystal with ease. He remembered that he had spent quite a bit of money on it at the auction. Who knew he’d be giving it away so soon? He felt somewhat reluctant.

But there was no helping it; after all, Aierjisi and her crew had helped him a lot in Jingchang. It was only right to give this Teleportation Crystal to them as a reward.

The next day…

While Aierjisi and Yake were enjoying the breakfast provided by the City Lord, a Maid hurried over to inform them to finish their meal quickly; the City Lord was waiting for them.

“Eh? We’re supposed to meet the City Lord right after breakfast? That’s quick!”

“Yeah. I thought we would take a stroll after eating before seeing him. It seems like the City Lord has prepared the teleportation item, and that’s why he called us over.”

“The City Lord is really eager, huh? Looks like he can’t wait to get rid of us! But I guess that’s normal, considering I’m a wanted criminal now.”

Aierjisi forced a smile. Being pursued by those Adrian People, staying in this city would only cause trouble for the City Lord. It was understandable he wanted her to leave quickly.

“No! Aier, stop overthinking it! The City Lord isn’t like that! After all this time, haven’t you figured him out? If he wanted to kick us out, he could have done so last night. But he’s waiting until this morning for us to finish breakfast before asking us to meet him. Doesn’t that show he’s not in a hurry to get rid of us?”

Yake felt helpless at Aierjisi’s tendency to think the worst of everyone. Were there really that many bad guys in the world?

“But still, we should be prepared for the worst, right?”

“Preparing for the worst doesn’t mean worrying like you are!”

Yake sweatdropped as he looked at the Little Princess. How could he even compare? Sure, it’s wise to prepare for the worst, but… the City Lord was clearly not the type to act like that!

No matter how Aierjisi felt, they still had to meet the City Lord. Only by seeing him in person could they find out what he wanted to say.

“Here we are! Let’s take a seat; this could be our last meeting. Who knows if we’ll ever see each other again?”

After finishing breakfast, the two arrived at the City Lord’s room. The City Lord welcomed them warmly, motioning them to sit on the sofa across from him, like it was their first meeting, and served them his prized tea.

“City Lord, did you call us here for something specific?”

Yake cut straight to the chase, asking about the purpose of their meeting.

“Eh? Mr. Yake, don’t you already know why I called you? Yin told me last night that you two are in dire need of a teleportation crystal, right?”

The City Lord pulled out the Teleportation Crystal from his drawer and placed it on the table.

“Yes, we really do need a teleportation crystal to reach Panimir in an instant.”

“Exactly, so this crystal is yours now. Oh, and here’s the user manual for it. Take it along; it’ll definitely be useful. Just a heads up, this crystal has limited uses; it can be used three times in total, and I haven’t used it since I bought it.”

“Thank you, City Lord!”

Aierjisi stored the Teleportation Crystal and manual into her Subspace.

“By the way, you two plan to head to Panimir, right?”

“Yes. We intend to go there to find a companion who was recently captured by those Adrian People. I need to get there quickly and figure out a way to rescue her.”

“I see. I understand you want to rescue your fellow Earth traveler. However, if you’re going to that place, I suggest you buy some cold-weather gear first. That kingdom is incredibly cold and is very close to the Ice Dragon Clan’s territory.”

Before they set off, the City Lord made sure to remind them of that kingdom’s peculiarities. It was similar to Russia on Earth; it was almost perpetually covered in snow. If they didn’t prepare properly, they’d freeze solid in no time!

“Thank you for your concern, City Lord! We will make sure to prepare well.”
