I am Thor

Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Flaws

Thanos sneered, dismissing Thor's sudden call. In his mind, Thor was just trying to create a distraction for a sneak attack. The sons of Odin are always up to tricks, he thought.

But as he prepared to strike, he sensed an intense energy approaching from behind. His expression shifted, and he quickly turned, just in time to see a large, golden figure hurtling straight toward him.

"Boom!" Captain Marvel—Carol Danvers—slammed into Thanos's face, the impact flipping him head over heels across the ground. Before he could fully recover, Carol sprang onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck and planting her feet on his weapon hand, pinning him to the ground.

The move was executed so swiftly that the Black Order barely had time to react.

Cull Obsidian was the first to strike, turning his massive axe into a chain blade and hurling it toward Carol. But before it reached her, Thor intercepted it with the Spear of Eternity, Gungnir, piercing the chain and yanking it out of Cull Obsidian's grasp.

Ebony Maw extended his fingers, trying to manipulate objects on the ground to use as weapons. But before he could lift anything, a red glow enveloped the battlefield, blocking his telekinesis. He turned in shock to see Wanda, hands glowing with scarlet energy, smirking at him.

Thanos, meanwhile, struggled against Carol's hold but managed to speak, "Your friends are strong… but it's not enough."

With a powerful surge, Thanos broke free of Carol's grip, shoving her legs aside. He leaned back, slamming his massive frame against a steel pillar and pinning her. Then, with a loud crash, he hurled her to the ground, creating a deep crater.

Wanda looked on in shock, red energy sparking around her hands. Thor waved her off, saying, "Don't worry—she's tougher than the Hulk."

True to his words, Carol blasted up from the ground an instant later, glowing with energy and looking unscathed.

She turned to Thor with a raised eyebrow. "So this is the guy you're worried about?"

Thor rolled his eyes. "Ugly, powerful, and mean. Classic villain. Just watch out—he likes sending his underlings to do his dirty work."

Carol smirked. "If you had my powers, you wouldn't need to worry."

Thanos scowled, feeling increasingly irked by the duo's banter. This woman is even more arrogant than Thor, he thought.

Carol launched herself at Thanos, firing an energy blast at his face before landing a kick to his knee, forcing him to kneel. She unleashed a flurry of punches at his head, her movements like a storm. But Thanos, gathering his strength, blocked one of her punches, seized her wrist, and with a fierce spin, hurled her dozens of meters across the field.

Thor covered his face with his hand, muttering, "Impressive moves, but it didn't last…."

Carol's powers gave her air superiority, yet she was still struggling. I told her years ago to work on her close combat skills, Thor thought in frustration.

Just then, Thor noticed something alarming—Carol, who'd been glowing with energy, had suddenly dimmed. The radiance around her body faded, and she looked visibly weakened.

Thor had seen this once before in a movie, dismissing it as a cinematic error. But now he realized it wasn't so simple. Carol's super abilities seemed to fail momentarily when she lost balance or was thrown into disarray.

It's a weakness, a temporary loss of power in chaotic situations, Thor realized with dread.

Unfortunately, Thanos noticed the flaw even before Thor did. With his keen battle instincts, he seized the opportunity, raising his enormous blade and hurling it toward Carol with tremendous force, the air around it blazing from the speed.

Under normal circumstances, Carol would have shrugged off the attack. But in her current state, the blade could easily deal a fatal blow.

Seeing the danger, Thor shouted, "Wanda!"

Understanding instantly, Wanda released her grip on Ebony Maw and extended her hands toward Thanos's blade. Red energy surged out, catching the Tyrant Blade mid-air, halting its deadly path just inches from Carol. With a powerful twist, Wanda flung the blade aside, where it clattered to the ground, out of Thanos's reach.
