Chapter 9. Beans Workshop
Capital, Earlshide Kingdom…
"So, this is the Beans Workshop."
I looked at the sign and smiled after finding the correct place. Beans Workshop, the smithy that is famous for its first rate weapons. And it is also the home of one of the S class members - Mark Bean.
Later on, the protagonist even comes here with the rest to make a "replaceable sword." A sword whose blade can be detached because of its special hilt, making it able to replace the chipped blade with a brand new one.
'What an idiotic idea.'
It might sound like a good invention, but in return it weakens the sword itself.
If the blade is not connected to the hilt, how can it be strong? And because of that it will get chipped away faster or might even break easily compared to normal swords.
This sword might prove effective in the war against ordinary human masses, but against powerful enemies, it's just a weak sword that needs constant replacement. And in such a fight, who has the time to replace the blade?
In fights, even a second can result in a victory or a loss.
But it's not like this 'replaceable sword' doesn't have merits. Its biggest merit is its cost-effectiveness.
Unlike making the complete swords, the blacksmiths only need to make just blades which reduces a lot of time and increases the speed of manufacturing. And it also costs a lot less compared to a complete sword. In times of war, it can become an essential weapon.
"Wait. The more I think of it, doesn't it make it a more suitable business item?"
The protagonist has yet to come out of the forest. And I have an excellent option to use this idea before him and make a crazy amount of money through it.
"And I can sell it to the…."
The more I thought about it, it seemed more feasible to me. And it didn't take me long enough to decide on the first product of my company.
"I have to make a blueprint as fast as possible."
As for guilt? I didn't feel much of it. I have already stolen his future wife, and now what's wrong with stealing his idea?
"It seems the role of the villain isn't too bad."
But in excitement, I didn't forget that I am here to get a weapon for my new career as a demon hunter.
"If I become a demon hunter, I doubt I would have time to manage my company. I need to find someone skilled to manage it."
But that is the worry for the future. I put it off all of that for the future me and entered the Beans Workshop to get my weapon.

"It's amazing."
The burning heat and the constant sound of hammers. A true place of blacksmiths. It's a sight I would never have witnessed in my previous life.
"They are quite systematic."
Being in a fantasy world with a resemblance to medieval periods, I thought them to be out of order. But here, they seemed to be working with proper division of labour. And it made me quite surprised.
"Well, this is a renowned workshop."
And Grace, who accompanied me on the orders of my father reminded me once again that I am standing in one of the best workshop in Earlshide Kingdom.
"Mark, do it better! You can't make a sword like that!"
'Mark?'
A certain loud reprimanding voice caught my attention, and I turned towards it. A man, well built with tough arms was scolding down a small figure, smaller than me but his body was quite developed for a child, a sign of him working as a blacksmith.
"Yes, dad!"
"Don't call me, dad! In the workshop, I am the boss!"
"Yes, boss!"
And after looking at that anime moment, I knew the name of the small figure on the verge of tears, smashing the small piece of hot iron.
'Mark Bean!'
He had the same brown hair, though his freckles haven't started to appear on his face. But with all this heat, I am sure it wouldn't take that long for it to come out.
My noble appearance and with a maid beside me were enough to catch the attention of the workers. And it didn't take long for the boss himself, Harold Bean, the owner of the workshop to come in front.
"We are here on the orders of Count Ritzburg."
And with that, Grace handed over a letter to Harold out of nowhere. When did my father give her the letter? I didn't see it!
"C-Count Ritzburg?!"
The name of the noble made him and the other workers flustered. In most cases, it is extremely rare for a noble to come and buy a weapon themselves from a workshop. And now finding the noble to of a high titled one put him on a bit of an edge.
"If it is from Count then…"
"That's right. I am his son, Kurt Von Ritzburg."
"Welcome to Beans Workshop, Kurt-sama!"
And it didn't take a second for him and the rest of the blacksmiths to bow and greet me like a high profile person. I know I am a noble but still it's too grand! It is making me embarrassed.
"D-Don't do it, Harold-san. It's making me embarrassed."
I hid my face and they all stood up slowly, smiling at each other's faces after hearing my words. It was an awkward moment, but it made them a bit more relaxed and removed their guard against me.
"What do you need, Kurt-sama?"
And finally, we came to the main point.
"Harold-san. Do you have a sword for me?"
"For Kurt-sama…."
He looked at me and pondered for a bit. Even though I am becoming a demon hunter, it's better not to forget that I am still a six-year old child. Normal weapons used by adults aren't suitable for me.
That is the main reason for me to come to a workshop to find a weapon suitable for me.
"Can you come with me?"
"Alright."
And he took us to the place where all different kinds of weapons were showcased for the customers. From swords, to spears, to hammers. All of them.
"These are the best weapons made by Beans Workshop, Kurt-sama."
