"But you can't accept his arrogance and complacency."

"I think you should take this opportunity to talk to him clearly."

Christine couldn't believe it, "He likes me? That's impossible."

"As you said, he's a genius, extremely talented, so he can be conceited and complacent."

"Why would he like me?"

Jaxon smiled and said, "He is indeed very talented, but Christine, you're also very beautiful and exceptional; otherwise, why would I have come all the way to invite you?"

"People like him don't often have many female friends around. Maybe that's why he likes you."

Christine shook her head, her emotions a mix of disbelief and confusion.

"I… I need to calm down."

"Waiter, I need a glass of ice lemonade!"

Sure enough, Strange was coming in this direction.

As Strange approached, it seemed possible to resolve things on the spot.

Christine was thinking about her options.

Should she confront Strange?

Strange was a genius and a top neurosurgeon.

But, as Jaxon had pointed out, she and Strange weren't suited for each other.

Especially after what Strange did today—he had directly and accurately stepped on some personal landmines, and two in a row at that.

"Jaxon, I think you're right. It's necessary to let Strange know that there's no possibility between us."

"It might be best to give him a hint so he understands it's impossible."

"Jaxon, could you help me?"

Jaxon guessed what Christine was thinking—that she wanted to use him as a shield to subtly reject Strange.

"You mean…"

"Yes."

"Alright, I'm always happy to help, especially for a beautiful woman."

The two chatted briefly, and then Christine naturally took action.

"Strange, I need your help."

Strange looked surprised, "Help?"

"I think Jaxon is a nice guy, and I'd like to get to know him better. Since you're my friend, maybe you could offer some advice?"

This maneuver was nothing short of strategic!

But only in this way could Christine ensure Strange would give up.

Jaxon was also keen on getting rid of his love rival.

Without Strange as competition, wouldn't it be much easier to win over Christine?

Strange felt a pang of jealousy.

"You want my advice?"

"Fine!"

'I'll put him in his place and make him see his shortcomings!'

Strange was confident he was far superior to Jaxon.

---

Strange sat down in front of Jaxon, like a proud peacock.

The atmosphere was tense even before dinner started.

"Judging by your appearance, you must be from the East, right?"

"Yes, I'm from the East. Is there a problem with that?"

"Why did you come to this country?"

"My parents passed away, and my only relative, my grandfather, was worried about me, so he brought me here. Now, I'm studying here."

Strange said indifferently, "I'm sorry to hear that. It seems you don't plan on going back."

Christine frowned, clearly displeased with Strange's tone.

"Strange."

"I'm sorry, Jaxon, I didn't know you went through that loss."

Jaxon smiled, "It's alright. It's in the past. I often miss them, but I don't feel too much pain about it anymore."

Christine's impression of Jaxon improved; he seemed optimistic, cheerful, and positive.

"You're still in school. What's your major?"

"Computer Engineering."

Jaxon, who was as knowledgeable as Bruce Wayne, knew far more than just this one field—biology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, and even medicine and forensics.

However, there was no need to bring up medicine in front of Strange.

So, he just picked one.

"A good choice."

"It's practical, pays well, and has solid job prospects."

"Normally, he could earn what I make in a week over the course of a year."

Strange was a top neurosurgeon, and his clients were often wealthy or influential.

The fee for a single surgery could be as much as someone else's annual income.

"Oh, earning money?"

"I'm not interested in that."

"I own 20% of Stark Industries. I just wait for dividends."

As a top doctor, Strange earned a lot of money, with luxury cars and a drawer full of designer watches.

But if Jaxon's words were true, his wealth would easily exceed Strange's.

How could someone from the East own 20% of Stark Industries?

Strange refused to believe it.

You know, large corporations rarely sell significant shares to foreigners, especially one like Stark Industries, which was previously a weapons manufacturer.

So, Strange decided to challenge him.

"20% of Stark Industries?"

"That's a pretty low-level lie."

"Even though Stark Industries has seen some fluctuations, its market value is still around a trillion."

"Typically, large companies don't hand over significant shares to outsiders."

Jaxon didn't feel the need to argue, "Unfortunately, I'm very familiar with Tony Stark, so I was able to acquire some shares."

"Is it a lie or the truth?"

"I don't care to debate it."

Jaxon could easily call Tony Stark to prove it, but he saw no reason to.

"Christine, I think he's lying!"

Christine hesitated, sensing sincerity in Jaxon's tone, which didn't match that of a liar.

But Strange's point was valid.

Christine sighed, "Jaxon, I do like you a lot."

"But if you really want to get to know me, I hope I can understand the real you as well."

Christine's attitude was understandable.

Many women value honesty.

If Jaxon and Christine were already close, it wouldn't be an issue.

But lying early on and getting caught would be problematic.

Jaxon realized he'd have to involve Tony Stark as a "tool" in this matter.

"If you need proof, I can call Tony Stark right now."

Strange, eyes narrowed, said, "I'll expose your lie."

Jaxon proceeded to call Tony Stark, initiating a video call.

"Oh, Jaxon, after bringing a horde of weird people to my place and leaving a mess, did you finally remember to call me and apologize?"

"Actually, it's not about an apology."

Tony immediately sensed Jaxon's intentions.

Generally, Jaxon wouldn't contact him unless something was up.

"So, are you asking for my help again? I'm not your employee!"

"Of course I'm not asking for help. Do I look like the type? I'm just talking to Doctor Strange here."

"Oh, Jaxon, are you sick? Fantastic, I thought you were immune to that."

"Do you think an illness could defeat me? Tony, face reality!"

Tony Stark continued eating pizza while speaking, and had Jarvis pull up Strange's information for a quick look.

Jaxon was indeed very capable, but not immune to all dangers.

Perhaps exploring toxins and diseases to challenge him was an idea worth pursuing.

Though it wasn't Tony's area of expertise, he was curious to try.

"I think we could explore this option."

"So, tell me, why did you call?"

"Did you just want to tell me you're having dinner with a doctor?"

"Do you think I'd have dinner alone with a male doctor I barely know? I'm here with one of his female colleagues, and he thinks I'm a fraud, so I thought I'd have you confirm it."

Tony replied immediately, "Yes, he's right; he should suspect you're absolutely a liar!"
