Chapter 183 Charlie, why are you here?
Chapter 183 Charlie, why are you here?
"That's the room!"
David glanced at the card, pointed to the yard between the two houses ahead and said.
"where?"
Jason had regained his ability to move, and he stared carefully.
The direction David pointed to was empty, a lawn.
Oh they can't see.
"You hold the card." David handed the card in front of them, and after they held it, he said a spell.
"See now?"
"I see." Jason nodded, "It really is a safe house, not ordinary."
"Of course, there are not many people in the world who can find this room without this card."
David said, walking across the street to the house.
These safe houses were all set up by Newt and Dumbledore, perhaps a tradition preserved during Grindelwald.
Pushing open the door, gray dust came on the face, David quickly took a step back, and the magic wand directed a gust of wind to rush in.
Until the wind stopped, David pushed it away again, and the inside was completely new.
"Go in." Dave greeted.
After Jason stepped into the door, he looked back and forth curiously: "The decoration here is quite modern."
The fireplace, the chandelier, the telephone on the table, and various electrical appliances made him feel as if he had entered a Muggle family.
"This was originally where a Muggle lived, but he moved away later, so my grandfather bought him and transformed it into a safe house."
David lay lazily on the sofa, not wanting to move.
After admiring the electrical appliances in the house, Jason also lay down on the sofa, but soon he sat up, leaned his body and asked David: "You haven't told me why we are wanted!"
"It's just you guys. I'm not wanted." David said slowly with his head up on the sofa and his eyes closed.
He has been using the image of Allen before, and if he wants to be wanted, he will only want Allen.
What Allen did has nothing to do with me, David!
"Then why?"
David's mouth moved uncomfortably, and he told Jason the whole story.
"Hmm..." Jason was silent for a while after listening, and after thinking about it, he tentatively said, "Why don't you go directly to the Ministry of Magic? Or are the roads to somewhere blocked by them?"
Anna was taken aback when she heard the words, and looked at David.
David's eyes widened all of a sudden, staring straight at the man-made crystals shaking back and forth on the chandelier.
Yes!
Why don't we go straight to the Ministry of Magic!
I know them so well and have paid fines so many times, can they still help?
At that time, I only cared about being handsome, but I suddenly thought about it!
"Why did I say the wrong thing?" Sensing that the atmosphere was wrong, Jason said quickly.
David sighed, straightened up, and said calmly, "No, you're not wrong. I thought of going to the Ministry of Magic at that time, but I noticed their people on the few roads that must be passed, so I can only go to the Ministry of Magic. Make a bad move and lure people from the Ministry of Magic over here!"
Don't ask him how he noticed it, it's a family spell!
Anna nodded, agreeing with David's statement. It was the first time she came to London, and she couldn't even recognize the road, let alone other things.
As for Jason, he has been in a coma, what can he know?
It's not that David is what he says.
Fooling the past, David changed the subject and told them not to focus on it. After all, it was the two of them who were wanted.
"What do you want to eat? I'll go out and buy later."
"Let me go out and buy it."
David is required to do everything, Anna is a little embarrassed.
David shook his hand hurriedly: "It's inconvenient for you two to go out now."
Anna reacted, smiled dejectedly, and mentioned a few dishes.
After David bought it back, she would show off her cooking skills and make up for it.
"Okay, I'll be back soon."
David tilted his head, opened a cabinet in the corner, and took out some banknotes.
It was Newt who existed, basically every safe house had one, with Galleons and Muggle currency in it, just in case.
Walking to the door, when he opened the door, David thought about it, and turned into Charlie.
Taller, more secure.
There seems to be a supermarket over there.
David recalled the path when he came, and walked back.
After crossing several streets, David saw a large supermarket on the opposite side of the road from a distance, with people coming and going.
He was just about to cross the road when he heard a bang, and a fast-moving magic vehicle stopped in front of him.
The rear door was pushed open, and a person came out, and said in surprise, "Charlie, why are you here?"
Wouldn't it be so coincidental?
The corners of David's mouth twitched, looking at Mr. Weasley in front of him, silent.
"what happened?"
"No." Thinking back on Charlie's actions, David scratched his hair foolishly and said with a smile, "It's just that I haven't seen you for a long time."
Mr. Weasley patted David's shoulder happily, and he asked, "What are you doing here? When did you come back?"
"I'm back on a mission, and I'm going back soon." David said, "I came here to see if a friend of mine is at home. He was born in a Muggle family."
Mr. Weasley didn't react when he heard the words. He didn't have any pure blood glory like some wizards.
But when the wizard driving the vehicle heard David's words, he bared in disdain.
"If you have time, you can go back and have a look. You haven't been home for a long time." Mr. Weasley said.
"Okay, Dad, what are you doing?"
David looked at the car, there were four wizards including Mr. Weasley, and a swallow-tailed dog was sandwiched between the two in the back seat.
"Oh, I almost forgot the business, have you seen these people around here?"
Mr. Weasley bent down on the back seat of the car, picked up a stack of papers, and handed it to David.
David flipped through it, and there were portraits of Jason, Anna, Allen, and the old man on it.
It should be detected by the wizards of the Ministry of Magic from the memories of the surrounding Muggles.
"Have you seen it?"
David shook his head: "I haven't seen them around."
"Okay, one last hug, I should go to work." Mr. Weasley opened his arms.
David leaned in.
Suddenly, Mr. Weasley whispered into his ear: "Take your friends and leave quickly. As long as the Ministry of Magic has no missions, they are looking for the two of them."
The Weasleys had been to the dragon farm before, and of course they knew Jason and Anna, so when he saw the portrait, he also came out to inspect, to see if he could help them, and unexpectedly met David .
While David was in a daze, Mr. Weasley let go of his hand, blinked quietly, opened the car door and sat in.
"Let's go, let's go look elsewhere."
The car roared, sprinted suddenly, and flew into the distance.
Mr. Weasley is a good man!
David walked quickly to the supermarket opposite, bought what Anna needed and went home.
Although Mr. Weasley had already taken people from the Ministry of Magic to other places, there was no guarantee that another wizard would not come to inspect.
"I am back."
Pushing open the door, David changed back to his own appearance.
"Okay, go and rest, and leave the rest to me."
Anna took the bag from David and pushed him into the living room.
"How is it? Feeling better?"
David sat opposite Jason and said.
"Almost." Jason grinned, his face had returned to normal, but he looked very tired, like a person who has survived several days and nights.
David's healing spell is not without side effects, it guides the vitality in the subject's body to heal himself.
When the injury is not serious, there is not much reaction, but if it is too serious, it will look very tired after being healed.
"It should be back to normal after I wake up from sleep." Jason thought for a while and then said.
"Well, how about we go to Devonshire tomorrow afternoon? People from the Ministry of Magic are looking for you now, and it's not safe to stay here for a long time."
Jason asked in surprise, "To Devon?"
"My grandpa has a friend there who might be able to help us find him."
After getting a response, David also closed his eyes and began to rest. Today should be the most tiring time he has ever been.
After about half an hour, Anna was ready for dinner.
I have to say, her craft is still as good as ever.
Although there are only some simple ingredients, she has made a different flavor according to the characteristics of the ingredients.
After eating happily, they chatted with Jason for a while, and everyone went back to rest on vacation.
The next afternoon, the sun cleared the clouds and the concrete floor was scorching hot.
"Are you ready?" David asked.
"Okay, let's go."
Jason and Anna came down the stairs, their bodies wrapped in black robes.
This is a very common attire in the wizarding world, and many people will wear one when they travel.
Hmm... Maybe it's because there are too many people wanted by the Ministry of Magic.
"Then let's go."
After leaving the room, a few people stepped on the broom and flew in the direction of Devon County.
"Are we there yet?"
Jason had already taken off the hood on his head, and was opening his eyes, looking at the rolling green hills around him.
"Come on, just go down."
As he walked, David fumbled in the leather bag, and took out a small metal figure, which was as lifelike as one of his fingers.
"What is this?" Anna's gaze was drawn to it.
"The key to the door." David said as the little figure in his palm got up, swayed his body flexibly, and began to guide them.
Powerful wizards always have ways to hide their houses.
Following the direction pointed by the villain, they went straight down, and the three of David quickly came to the side of a stream.
"We have arrived."
The little figure in David's hand had already stopped, his tiny fingers flicked in the air, glowing with a light blue light.
After a while, a small courtyard slowly appeared in front of them.
Walking to the low fence gate, David said softly, "Hi, can you inform me?"
"Oh, he knows us, what a nuisance!"
"Yeah, we've waited so long for them."
Under the surprised eyes of Jason and Anna, the two small doors were separated from the lower fence, slid and assembled like building blocks, and soon became the appearance of two little people.
Looking at the aggrieved expressions on their faces, the corners of David's mouth raised.
The two of them turned into gatekeepers here, not to stop the guests from outside, but to scare them by suddenly turning into villains when the guests put their hands on them.
David had already suffered a loss when he first came, and of course he would not be fooled again now.
"Is Mr. Nicole Mailer home?" David asked again.
The villain put away his aggrieved expression and nodded: "The master is at home. The master said that if there are guests, just go in. He can't come out to pick you up now. I'm very sorry."
David had a bad feeling in his heart, knowing that the Philosopher's Stone was destroyed by Dumbledore last year.
Quickly crossing the path, the door was ajar, David knocked lightly a few times, and a weak voice came out after more than ten seconds: "Please come in."
Walking into the room, David saw two white-haired old men sitting on the sofa on the right side of the room. They were snuggling together, each holding a thick book in their hands.
"Mr. Mailer, Ma'am," David greeted.
"Oh, please forgive me, who are you?" Nico put the book aside and said sideways.
The skin on his face was already a little loose, and his mental state was not very good. The loss of the Philosopher's Stone had a great impact on him.
"David Scamander, Newt's grandson, I came here several times when I was a child." David said respectfully, he was full of respect for this master of magic.
"Oh?" Nico tilted his head and thought for a while, a smile burst out on his face, "I remembered, the little guy who pestered me to be a Transformer has grown so tall now."
Perenelle also showed a gentle smile.
David smiled sheepishly. The last time Newt and Newt came to visit Nico, he saw those waving figures, and he asked if Nick might not be a Transformer.
But Nico has never watched anime, so naturally he doesn’t know what a Transformer is. After David explained it to him, he said that he would try to make one in the future.
"Do I have anything to do today?" Nicole said with a smile.
"Just came to visit and see you," said David.
Seeing Nicole's weak appearance, David suddenly didn't want to bother him anymore.
"It's wrong to lie." Nico said with a straight face, "especially to an old man!"
"Okay, let's talk. Although I'm not in good health, it's okay to help you a little." Seeing that David hadn't spoken yet, Nico continued.
"My grandpa" David slowly told Nicole about Newt.
"Is that so?" Nicole thought for a while, but he couldn't stand up. He smiled and said, "Can you come over and help me?"
"Of course." David walked up quickly and held Nicole's arm, which felt like holding a pile of bones.
"The price of using the Philosopher's Stone." Nicole said with a smile, "It's not good to live too long."
Walking to a big crystal ball on the side of the house, Nico asked David to help him sit down, stroking it with his skinny palms.
Some white mist appeared between the crystal balls, constantly churning back and forth.
Soon, Newt's blurry figure slowly emerged.
