Chapter 437 – Glimpse of The Future
Early in the morning, Max prepared his and Lily's bag before leaving for the airport.
Just as promised the night before, Max helped Lily bring her luggage and she walked without holding anything.
Michael had already been waiting at the entrance with a hover car for them. When the manager noticed the bags Max was holding in his hands, he immediately sprung up to help.
"Thank you."
"It's a part of my job." Michael said as he put all of them in the trunk. "Please enter. Unfortunately, I can only escort you until the airport. I have already ordered the flight and everything. Someone would be waiting for you there to guide you. You will find her easily."
"That's enough."
The hover car silently drove to the airport and dropped them at the entrance. Max's and Lily's luggages were lightweight, so they didn't need to visit the luggage service and just carried the bags inside the plane.
Their destination was the southwest area of the United Nation, in a tropical island called Gua. The flight would last for 3 to 4 hours, enough for them to get some rest and sleep they missed from waking up early.
Lily did just that. She wasn't a morning person and was still tired, so she fell asleep with her head leaned against Max's shoulder. He covered her with his jacket so she wouldn't get cold.
As for him…
'It's time to check that.' He thought, opening his system menu.
Beside the usual <Quest> menu, there was a new section called <Reward>. This must be where that 'Glimpse of The Future' was stored and could be seen.
Suddenly, he felt nervous. What if the future wasn't like the one he expected?
Sure, Ferin said that he could always change it with his action, but that didn't mean anything now. Something scary would still be scary even when he knew how to deal with them.
And just as he thought…
'It's here.'
A video file named 'Future' was inside the <Reward> section. Based on the information, it was just a 10-seconds video. Watching it might not give him any hint, but he was no longer afraid.
His hand moved, clicking the video and waited for it to be loaded. It didn't take long, which made him concentrate on the floating window.
At first, the video started at what seemed like a workshop, a fantasy workshop. It showed two people trying to put some gems into a ball. Their appearances were pretty strange, a man with black hair and horns and a girl with platinum hair.
The girl's hair was pretty familiar, except she had a pair of bunny ears on top of her head. This video only took 4 seconds before they smiled and the man spoke in a familiar voice.
"We don't need this anymore. Going back once is enough, and everyone is happy now."
In the fifth second into the video, the scenery changed. It showed a stage. And Max could see himself exiting an unfamiliar capsule and looked at the capsule on his left. It opened and a girl stepped out. A girl that was familiar and dear to him.
"Ah." A voice escaped his mouth, tears dripping out from his eyes out of happiness. "We did it."
No need to worry. Everything would be alright.
While he was curious about the first part of the future, he knew that it was related to a certain person. Indeed, their hair color was different, but their faces and voices were the exact same. Besides, Max wouldn't mistake that platinum hair and beautiful face anywhere.
Only one person had that kind of combination.
'Atlas and Ferin.' He mused in his mind, wiping his tears. 'What did he mean by going back once? And why did they appear in the video? Do they have relation to the system or… No, I shouldn't think much. I know we will succeed, and that's enough.'
Probably it was some kind of secret talk he had with Ferin. That would be the best way to explain it.
Still, the question of why they entered the video remained.
'Ah, let's just forget it. I need to sleep right now. Thinking about what the system shows me will only lead to a headache.'

The plane landed at Guat on time. Max left the airport with Lily in tow. Michael told them that someone would fetch them and they wouldn't miss her, but…
"Ok, there is no way we miss her." Max commented after he saw someone with a floating screen above her head.
The screen had 'Breeze and Lover' written on it. But that wasn't why he wouldn't miss the person.
"Is she wearing a… bunny costume?" Lily asked, surprised by the appearance of the person. Her eyes widened and sparkled. "She even has bunny ears!"
Max looked at his girlfriend and smiled wryly. He almost forgot that Lily was a bunny enthusiast and loved it to death. Of course, she would be excited to meet someone dressed like a bunny girl.
Thankfully, this type of bunny girl was a safe one with a skirt instead of one often met in a club. It was one of an anime character called Usagi-Bun, which was popular lately.
"Aah, over here! This way!"
The cosplayer waved her hand excitedly as she spotted Max and Lily. The couple indeed stood out among the others, just like the bunny girl.
Combined, the three of them became the center of attention pretty quickly.
"Hello! My name is Gloria, BioShow's staff. I will be your guide and chaperone until the shooting is over. Nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you, I am Breeze." Max introduced himself and gestured to Lily. "And she's LilyPixel. Let's just call her that because that's her streamer name."
Lily nodded. She didn't want to be called White Lily outside. It was embarrassing.
"Understood." Gloria answered with a salute. The hologram screen disappeared as she gestured for them to follow her. "We can't stay here any longer. People began to gather after realizing who both of you are."
Looking around, Max noticed a few people pointing at them and shrieked. The concert from two days ago and yesterday's world record breaking event was still fresh in everyone's mind.
"I guess you're right." He said, smiling wryly. "Let us go to a quieter place, if you would guide us."
"It's my pleasure." Gloria said, beaming into a smile. "The hover car is located right outside. This way."
