Watching the count dwindle from two hundred thousand to just thirty thousand was a bit sad, but this was streamer life. Max was used to this.

Because the researchers and Peter were still busy, Max ended the livestream shortly after and talked to Mr. Taka about the next plan.

All promotions would still be ongoing until the Streamer Wars in 20 days. Max also talked about the event proposal he gave Mr. Taka before and told him that they didn't need to rush now. Today's small event boasted his followers and subscribers past the 1 million mark.

'Couple Paradise Island?'

The name sounded like an R-Rated reality show. He looked at Mr. Taka in disbelief and the man quickly explained.

Returning to his room, he found Lily sitting on the balcony chair, looking at New Eden City's night scenery. She was humming while moving her head left and right, her long hair was moving gently from the breeze.

Her appearance now was like a night fairy that came to visit. Looking sad but strong. She believed that there would be a way to solve her problem.

Approaching her slowly, Max called out with a soft voice.

"Lily, are you free?"

Max explained what Mr. Taka told him to Lily. Just like him, she looked skeptical when she heard about the reality show's name being Couple Paradise Island. She was worried that it would be a strange R-Rated program.

Opening Punchtube, Max found the reality show they were searching for. The thumbnail was a man grinning widely and 3 pairs of couples looking surprised behind him. That alone was interesting.

And looking at the views, which was 11 million, it seemed like many people liked this program. This was one of the videos with the highest views in the channel called BioShow!

The video started with a man with a strange face shouting loudly.

"In here, we have 3 pairs of couples that will play my game! They are all lovely and wholesome couples known on the internet. The games they did will be destructing, exciting, and… heart wrenching!"

Many clips of the videos were played as the man spoke. The clips showed one of the couple hugging, then changing to show another working together to solve a puzzle. Lastly, it showed a couple looking pale while holding something that was blurred. It gave a sense of mystery.

"The couple who managed to finish all the games and got the highest vote from our community would win 100 thousand dollars!" The strange man with beard spread his arms, ending the intro. "Now, what are you doing here? Move move! The game has started!"

Caught by surprise, the participants stumbled and crashed against each other, causing a hilarious scene. The strange man, who was the host of the show, face palmed and shook his head.

"Well, couples…" He shrugged his shoulders and the scene changed.

Max and Lily watched the show and laughed occasionally. They were hooked by the show itself because of how funny and interesting it was.

When they showed the couples' activities, they began to talk whether that would be fun or not, imagining that they were in their places.

Max also told Lily that he forgot about the vacation tickets he ordered due to how hectic his schedule was and promised he would definitely take her to a vacation soon.

That conversation led to a decision.

"Let's join the reality show." Lily said, smiling at him. "It looks fun."

"Alright. I will contact Mr. Taka and let him know."

Opening his message application, he contacted Mr. Taka. For this job, Max wanted to have fun with Lily so he didn't even care if he was paid or not.

But, there was still one thing that he forgot to ask when Mr. Taka brought the subject up earlier. And it was the time.

[Mr. Taka: Great. Michael will chaperone you and Lily to the airport tomorrow. The shoot will start in 3 days, so you will have a day off to explore before it. Have fun, Breeze.]

"Wait." Max raised his voice, causing Lily to look at him in worry.

"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"A problem… Just a little bit."

"Hnn?"

Max wondered how he should tell her about his mistake. But then, there was no need to worry because they were free anyway.

Letting out a sigh, he scratched the back of his head.

"The thing is… We need to depart to the shooting location tomorrow."

Hearing what Max had said, Lily's expression turned cold. She looked at him in disbelief.

"Max…"

"Yes, I know. It's my fault for not confirming the schedule. My bad."

Before she could continue her sentence, Max cut her off and apologized. Lily could only sigh and shook her head.

'My boyfriend is such a workaholic. When will he slow down and rest? I am so worried about his health.'

She could only think of it inside her mind. Because she knew that Max was doing his best for her. It even made her feel insecure.

'He's just too good for me. Am I good enough for him yet?'

Raising her head, she met his warm gaze. He tilted his head and asked.

"Are you angry at me?"

"Un." Lily nodded her head and leaned it against his shoulder, "As punishment, become my pillow until I fall asleep."

"Hahaha, that's a harsh punishment." He chuckled and relaxed his muscles so his body didn't feel stiff.

Lily noticed that and smiled.

"You're dummy, you know that?"

"Ugh, how harsh. Please stop being angry, Lily."

"No. And you're in charge of bringing my bag tomorrow."

They had a friendly banter as their bodies touched each other. The night sky was clear, but no stars could be seen due to light pollution.

Still, it was a nice, silent night. Perfect to forget the misfortune that happened to them yesterday.
