Gol D. Ace In Coiling Dragon

Chapter 272: Book 8 Plot: Part 7 – Creation of A Divine Plane

The next day, close to a thousand experts appeared in the forest of darkness. Some were familiar faces, others Ace guessed were a part of the batch that had escaped the Gebados Plane.

Beirut then explained that he, along with Leylin and Ismarelda, were sovereigns of the laws of wind, fire, and water and that they would be creating three respective divine planes of said elements, and because this could be considered the golden era of their Yulan Plane's history, they would allow all those who's comprehension had reached the profound stage the opportunity to further their comprehension.

Everyone was still in shock by the fact that Beirut and the others had become sovereigns. Especially those who knew that Leylin and Ismarelda were only deities a day ago. They had no idea what happened, but they didn't have time to question it as Beirut continued speaking, completely ignoring their shock.

He explained that even though the divine planes being created would be of three of the elements, all seven laws and even the four edicts shared some similarities, and as long as one's perception was strong enough, they would still be able to further their comprehension.

He then opened up the doors to his metallic lifeform, which had now morphed into a giant ship and said everyone who wanted to come was free to, but at no point was anyone allowed to fight during this. Anyone who does will be treated without mercy.

Without fail, everyone present boarded the ship before Beirut had it enter the Necropolis of the Gods, heading up to the top floor.

Beirut had already removed the corpses of the four divine beasts. Instead, the top floor was now a giant empty room, but above it was the vast expanse of the chaotic void, where the three sovereigns would be creating their respective Divine Planes.

It was then that Beirut's voice entered the ears of the audience. He let them know that the first ten years were pretty dull as each sovereign was required to spend a long time gathering enough sovereign essence to begin the plane creation process, and it would likely take over ten years.

And as he wouldn't be able to move from his position when the process started, he wouldn't be able to bring them up to the top floor of the Necropolis at that point. As such, he had to bring them up in advance and make them wait. Still, to everyone there, 15 years was a short price to pay for such a valuable opportunity.

Thankfully, like the other floors, the top floor of the Necropolis was extremely vast, giving everyone enough space to live in peace.

The crowd watched as liquids began to swirl around the bodies of the three sovereigns – the colour of which was determined by their elemental affinity. As time moved forward, the streams of liquids grew thicker and thicker as the amount of sovereign power grew greater and greater.

Realising that there was nothing to be gained from watching the three sovereigns accumulate energy, everyone spread out into their own groups and factions, where they patiently waited for the next phase to begin.

During that time, Ace didn't forget to continue his training, but he still spent the majority of his time with his family and friends, especially with his baby sister, whom he decided to train personally.

Although Mercurielle had an exceptional affinity to the law of water – an affinity she clearly inherited from her father – Ace's level of comprehension made him the best teacher for her. Especially as he, more than anyone else, understood their bloodline ability and how to make the most of it.

Though her talent couldn't compete with her older brother, with him being the one to train her and the fact that he spared no expense in doing so, her progress was no less stunning than his was.

By the time she was ten, she was already a warrior and a mage at the peak of the third rank, had comprehended both states of wielding, was capable of insta-casting all spells at her rank, and was also able to use both [Armament] & [Observation] Haki with great ease.

At 12, she had comprehended impose, and at 13, she had already gained insight into the law of Water's Profound Mystery of Waterbody.

By the time the fifteen years were up, Mercurielle was already a beautiful young woman at the age of 18 who had broken through to the middle stages of the 9th rank as both a warrior and a mage, but more importantly, between her brother's teachings as well as the dense elemental essence in the air on the 18th floor, she had long since completely comprehended the profound mystery of Waterbody and was in the process of attempting to fuse it with the profound mystery of circular softness.

During that time, Ace refused to train her in the use of "Concepts". Due to the upcoming Plane creation, he wanted her to lay as solid a foundation as possible as far as profound mysteries were concerned.

After 15 years had passed, Beirut's voice entered the heads of everyone on the 18th floor. He commanded everyone, bar the experts of the Yin-Yang Pavilion, the Gol Clan, the Baruch Clan, and the Rohault Clan, to remain where they were before allowing those of said groups to get back on his metallic lifeform.

As they did, they watched Beirut wrap his metallic lifeform in his sovereign power before taking it directly into the chaotic space for a front-row seat.

Watching that, Adkins, the only Highgod present, unable to restrain his jealousy, asked why they were given special treatment.

It was then that Ismarelda said she hadn't asked for payback for him daring to attack one of her descendants and killed him directly with a mere wave of her hand. Ismarelda's actions put the fear of god in the others, stopping them from daring to make a sound.

Still, the distance between the three sovereigns and those watching from the 18th floor of the Necropolis of the Gods was extremely vast, to say the least, but thankfully, Beirut had taken the time to layer the viewing station in the Necropolis with a formation that allowed those watching to see what was going on. Even though it wasn't as good as the view from the metallic lifeform, it was still good enough.

When everyone was ready, the enormous pythons of coloured liquid surrounding the three sovereigns contracted, instantly transforming into three giant spheres of liquid that completely surrounded each sovereign. The spheres suddenly trembled; the powerful energy contained within them caused the surrounding space to constantly shatter.

Fortunately, they were in chaotic space; there wouldn't be much damage caused.

Seeing that the real show had begun, Ace and Amira summoned their manifestations, allowing their affinity to their respective elements to skyrocket – unwilling to let go of this opportunity. As for the others, even though not quite as flamboyant, each of them focused intently as the three sovereigns began to create their respective planes.

Even before seeing one in action, everyone understood that the power of a sovereign was unfathomable, but no one could've imagined that they would truly have the ability to create a whole world, so to see it happen before their eyes was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Within days, the first breakthroughs happened, and it was like a chain reaction. Over the first year, the natural laws descended over a dozen times as many peak and prime saints continuously broke through.

Still, the ones to benefit most were the ones who didn't rush to make a breakthrough in their respective realms. All those in or linked to the Yin-Yang Pavilion were geniuses of the highest standing, and with such an opportunity at their door, they were determined to reach the limits of comprehension for their respective realms before even considering making a breakthrough.

Still, between the fact that their talents surpassed those below them by so much and that they were so close that they could practically feel the might of the sovereign power, their speed of comprehension was incredibly fast.

Even for those whose elements weren't being used, their progress was blazing. As Beirut said, there were many similarities between the various laws and edicts; it just depended on one's perception.

Ten years later, the first of the group successfully reached the limits of comprehension as a mid-staged saint. Without hesitation, Wukong broke through to the peak of the saint realm, which subsequently caused the natural laws to descend. In the end, due to the fact that he had completely fused three profound mysteries of the laws of lightning and had even begun to fuse a fourth, the ape-like warrior jumped directly into the Full God Realm before continuing on with his comprehension, determined to make the most of this opportunity.

Over the next 90 or so years, many of Ace's closest friends and family achieved breakthroughs. Even his sister reached the limits of comprehension as a saint and entered the ranks of Full Gods. Still, there were three whose breakthroughs shocked everyone present to their very cores.

As Apex-level Divine Beasts, when Bebe and Oscar broke through, their respective bloodlines finally entered true maturity, simultaneously awakening their Divine Abilities.

Oscar broke through after 32 years, causing a giant phantom of a glistening white crow to manifest to his back before he broke through to the Full God Realm.

Next was Bebe, who also broke through to the Full God realm after 76 years. As the natural laws descended around him, the image of a giant and majestic black rat shimmered into existence.

Although both Bebe and Oscar had similar levels of talent, because Beirut's divine plane was of the wind element, Oscar was able to reach the limits of comprehension for his realm a lot faster than Bebe. In fact, it was incredible that Bebe managed to reach the limits of comprehension for saints at all.

As an apex-level divine beast, his perception wasn't the greatest. Thankfully, with a sovereign for a grandfather, he had access to treasures most couldn't even imagine.

The final shocking breakthrough was actually Milianna. As a direct descendant of the Gol clan and someone with a pure soul, the power of her soul was incredibly powerful. So, it took her longer than most to reach the limits of comprehension as a saint. But after she broke through to the deity realm, like Oscar and Bebe, an enormous phantom of her was conjured to her back. Oddly, this phantom was identical to her soul form, but what really caught many by surprise was the aura that was released. A powerful burst of Willpower was released from her soul manifestation, so powerful that over half of those present in Beirut's metallic lifeform were rendered unconscious. Thankfully, Beirut spread his Godrealm in time to shield the rest from it. Still, he couldn't help but stare at Milianna in disbelief – as if her bloodline wasn't monstrous enough already, she had just awoken a genuine Divine Ability that seemed to allow her to boost the power of her willpower.

Aside from them, Ismarelda also managed to achieve a breakthrough after 84 years, making her a genuine paragon-level sovereign.

Still, even after 100 years, there were six who hadn't achieved a breakthrough.
