Chapter 363: Chapter 363: The Crimson Witch of Flame
"Heh, fine. With the two of you here, I suppose you can at least give this intruder a minor punishment."
Dottore dismissed the mocking remarks from his colleagues without concern, his gaze returning to Nolan and Lumine.
"Ah, that's more like it. If you'd been friendly toward me instead, my indecisiveness might've made it hard for me to decide whether to deal with you," Nolan quipped with a light laugh, sensing their hostility.
As he spoke, he casually used his spiritual power to lock onto an unassuming corner of the room and opened a barely perceptible "door" there, less than a millimeter wide.
Regardless of the door's size, its appearance temporarily connected the "Wonderland" with Teyvat, fulfilling the condition required to activate his "Land Of Dandelions" skill, which necessitated Jean's presence nearby.
Currently, Nolan was level 88, and Jean was level 83. Together, their combined level totaled 171. Upon activating this skill, both he and Lumine would gain a 171% power boost, effectively multiplying their strength by 1.71 times.
Conversely, Dottore and his allies would have their power divided by 171%, reducing their combat effectiveness to less than 60% of its original state.
This drastic debuff would render even their Delusion-enhanced powers almost useless.
Of course, "Land Of Dandelions" wasn't invincible. Its effects wouldn't apply to enemies who left the skill's effective range or to those whose levels exceeded the combined total of Nolan's and Jean's levels.
The former scenario was far more likely than the latter, Nolan reasoned.
As these thoughts flashed through his mind, "Land Of Dandelions" took effect, simultaneously enhancing allies and weakening enemies.
Nolan felt a surge of boundless energy flooding his body.
Every attribute—strength, speed, spiritual power, defense, resistance, even his lifespan—was amplified by 1.71 times.
Meanwhile, Dottore and his companions felt a significant decrease in their strength. It was as if their energy had been drained, leaving them unable to exert their full power.
---
"What is this? A curse?"
Dottore's sharp gaze locked onto Nolan, confident that he was the source of this phenomenon. He speculated it must be some kind of curse.
However, curses typically required strict activation conditions and rarely worked against powerful individuals.
The fact that Nolan had deployed it so effortlessly caught Dottore off guard. Even he could no longer maintain his detached, spectator-like attitude.
---
"This... this is impossible!"
Scaramouche stared at himself in disbelief. His body felt strangely powerless, like he was trying to wield strength that simply wasn't there.
Grinding his teeth, his initial rage grew even more intense. Fixing a dark glare on Nolan, he growled:
"Very well. If you're so eager to die, then you'll burn to ashes!"
Without hesitation, Scaramouche unleashed the power of the Delusion bestowed upon him by the Tsaritsa.
In an instant, his power began to skyrocket.
Level 91... 92... 96... 97!
In mere moments, Scaramouche's level soared to 97.
Even Nolan was momentarily stunned. The power of the Delusion was far greater than he had anticipated.
Thankfully, even at level 97, Scaramouche only had a bit over half of his full potential due to the debuff.
While a weakened level 97 was still stronger than his previous level 90 state, it wasn't beyond what Nolan could handle.
As Scaramouche casually unleashed an even more terrifying thunderstorm than before, Nolan decided not to underestimate it.
He conjured an Anemo elemental shield to absorb the attack, allowing the residual energy to be channeled into his "Battery Body."
Sure enough, the lightning strike was potent—it not only fully charged his body but also slightly overflowed, causing a faint tingling sensation across his body.
Without hesitation, Nolan summoned the "Sword God" and directed it to engage Scaramouche. At the same time, he exchanged a glance with Lumine.
Understanding his signal, Lumine nodded. Drawing upon three different elemental energies in perfect harmony, she charged toward La Signora, choosing her as her opponent.
As for Dottore, Nolan unsheathed his "Moonlight Greatsword" and rushed to confront him directly.
---
Before engaging, Nolan summoned Lisa to assist. She was tasked with handling the Fatui soldiers closing in on them and providing support from the rear. With her potent Electro magic, she could easily dispatch any troublesome Fatui with a single lightning spell.
Mona, however, was left in the safety of the "Wonderland."
The Fatui Harbingers' Delusion-boosted powers had exceeded Nolan's expectations. Even with her strength amplified by 1.7 times, Mona would still struggle to be effective against them.
---
The battle didn't go well for the weakened Harbingers.
Scaramouche, now suppressed by the Sword God, was forced on the defensive throughout their clash. Meanwhile, Signora, after releasing her Delusion and transforming into her Crimson Witch of Flames form, momentarily elevated her strength to level 92.
However, with only slightly more than half of her full power, she was no match for Lumine, who freely wielded three different elements.
As for Dottore's clone, though he could command multiple elements, his ability paled in comparison to Lumine's. He could only switch between elements individually, unable to use them simultaneously or combine them into powerful reactions like she could.
Worse for Dottore, his opponent was Nolan, who possessed "Elemental Immunity."
All of his elemental attacks were ineffective against Nolan, who not only shrugged them off but grew stronger with every hit thanks to his Battery Body. By draining energy from enemy attacks, Nolan could replenish his own reserves while continuing to fight.
Lisa's presence also turned the tide.
With her added support, the Fatui Harbingers struggled to maintain their footing.
It didn't take long before the pressure became unbearable.
Realizing the disadvantage, Dottore began plotting a retreat.
Breaking away from Nolan, he unleashed the full power of his elemental energy in a reckless attack that destabilized the secret realm. The resulting collapse expelled everyone back to the outside world.
Taking advantage of the chaos, Scaramouche and Dottore fled without hesitation, leaving La Signora behind.
Unlike the others, La Signora, still in her Crimson Witch form, initially retained some semblance of reason as she battled Lumine.
However, it didn't take long before her sanity succumbed to the uncontrollable fury of her transformation.
She devolved into a destructive, mindless monster, unleashing flames indiscriminately.
Faced with the imminent threat of the entire Yashiori Island being engulfed in flames, Nolan and his allies abandoned the pursuit of Scaramouche and Dottore to focus on subduing La Signora.
Ironically, La Signora's rampage served as a distraction that allowed Dottore and Scaramouche to escape unscathed.
Perhaps this was their intention all along—Nolan couldn't shake the thought.
After all, he didn't believe that there was any genuine camaraderie among the Fatui Harbingers.
