Under the clear and sunny sky, the ship's towering sails stood like tall pines. Waves and swells ceaselessly lashed against the massive wooden hull, producing the sound of water splashing apart.

Two figures and a small, white-haired sprite stood on the dragon-headed prow.

"Haha, with such fine weather, it's the perfect time for a drink. Want to try some?"

Captain Beidou's long black hair danced in the sea breeze as she took out her flask, tilted her head back, and drank, laughing heartily.

"N-no, no thanks! We're not interested in drinking," Paimon waved her hands, shaking her head in refusal. "By the way, Captain Beidou, why did you call us here so early in the morning?"

Lumine adjusted her white petal-like hair ornament, which was slightly loosened by the wind. Her amber eyes also reflected a hint of curiosity.

"Such great weather is ideal for long voyages and also when certain creatures hunt. In short, a big one has its eyes on us."

"A big one?" Paimon scratched her head.

Beidou raised her claymore horizontally before her, surrounded by electric light. Thunder Beasts coalesced around her, forming an electro shield.

Just as Beidou's shield formed, the enormous tentacle struck with mountain-splitting force. With a deafening crash, it landed squarely on Beidou. The ship, which had been gliding forward, felt as if it hit the brakes suddenly.

The sheer power not only halted the Alcor but even caused its stern to lift slightly.

"Ah, Beidou!"

Paimon and Lumine raised their hands to shield against the wind, looking anxiously ahead.

Fortunately, Beidou seemed unharmed. Even the force capable of stopping a moving ship was unexpectedly held back with ease.

"A-amazing! Could you do that?" Paimon gaped and turned to Lumine.

"Not yet, but Nolan probably can."

Lumine shook her head. Over the past few days, her power had recovered and her strength had grown, but she was still a ways from exerting the strength to "stop a ship."

"Oh." Paimon nodded, disappointed.

She had thought the Traveler could do it too.

At that moment, Lumine suddenly heard Nolan's voice in her mind, saying he was going to teleport over.

Given they were in the midst of an attack by an unknown creature, she didn't hesitate and agreed immediately. Any help would be welcome to prevent the Alcor's crew from being endangered.

Beidou wore a satisfied smile, but when she turned around, she saw Nolan holding Lumine's hand, having appeared at some point. The palpable "scent of love" between them made her feel full without needing to eat!

"Haha, sorry, Captain Beidou. To make it up to you, let me handle that sea beast," Nolan said, slightly embarrassed as he released Lumine's soft hand.

Nolan, despite his strength, was not arrogant, so he only promised to try without guaranteeing success.

After all, it's better not to set expectations too high. Falling short would only make the fall more painful.

Beidou's interest was piqued. He had managed to appear behind her without her noticing until he spoke—a skill that impressed her. Now she was curious about how strong he was in a direct confrontation.

She was a fighter at heart, and she couldn't deny she felt a bit of an itch for action!

Without delay, Nolan summoned the "Lumine's Sword God," instructing "her" to dive swiftly into the sea to pursue the giant beast.

Any sea monster that could face Beidou head-on wouldn't be weak. Letting such an Adventure EXP slip away was not an option.

With sunlight shining down, the underwater visibility was still fairly clear.
