“Kurraaak!”

A deep, monstrous scream erupts loudly.

It wasn’t incomprehensible.

A massive upper body situated somewhere between an orc and a troll.

It made sense given its thick tail had become crushed like a bent steel pipe.

Yet,

“Kruruk! You!”

To a drakan, who belonged to the dragonkin, albeit at the very bottom, such pain was bearable.

“I will kill you!”

With a shout filled with rage, the double-bladed axe buried in the ground beneath the drakan soars into the air. Shimun flicked his finger with an indifferent expression.

Click.

Centered around the spine, the sensitive perception of a Black Panther spread throughout his body. Relying on this, Shimun moved accordingly.

“Kuruk?!”

The drakan’s eyes bulged in disbelief.

I saw, above the stupid look in his eyes, the double-bladed axe cutting through the air and Shimun, bending his waist as flexibly as a mollusk to evade.

Yes, matching the rise of the axe blade, this human had folded his waist in half to dodge.

Before he could even wonder how a human could show such flexibility akin to that of beastkin,

Click.

Another flick of the finger, and the previously bent Shimun returns to his original form.

More accurately, he sprung back up.

Like a rubber band that had been pulled taut.

Before any movement could be detected,

Crash!!

A long object, presumed to be a leg, hammered down on the drakan’s skull.

‘It hurts!’

The pain that rattled its skull spread throughout the drakan’s body.

And then, ‘I will kill him. Rip him to shreds!’

A fury as intense as his pain surged. It planned to immediately grab the leg of the human who struck his head and smash him to the ground.

Then, to split open his abdomen and pull out his intestines while he was still alive.

Just as the drakan was about to act,

“Ku….”

His head tilted slightly.

As if through some high-ranking illusion magic, the world seemed split.

And that world was rapidly crumbling.

‘What is this…’

Could this human possess magical abilities as advanced as those of the noble upper dragonkin?

But then he realized, looking at the legs of the human firmly grounded,

It wasn’t the world that was splitting and crumbling,

Kuong.

It was himself.

* * *

A heavy resonance skims the soles of the feet.

It was a vibration that matched the abnormally developed upper body of drakan.

Shimun looked at drakan’s head, which lay sprawled out like a fish head split in half, its eyes protruding.

‘I didn’t know he would die from one hit.’

Shimun looked down at his leg that had hammered down on drakan’s skull.

There, windows displaying information on [Black Panther’s Physique] and [Ogre’s physical tissue] appeared side by side.

‘The simultaneous body alchemy is quite effective.’

Simultaneous body alchemy.

A body alchemy ability obtained after achieving 40% completion of the [Obsidian Tablet].

It allowed for molding multiple types of body tissue simultaneously in a single body part.

‘Certainly, it’s different from multiple moldings.’

Previously, an attack like the one just now would have required undergoing two separate body moldings.

Adjusting the angle with [Black Panther’s Physique] for speed and accuracy.

Then canceling the molding to newly apply [Ogre’s Physique].

However, simultaneous body alchemy saved him from such hassle,

Furthermore, it demonstrated a superhuman level of power by combining the benefits of both at the same time.

‘I really do feel the increase in power.’

Looking at the completion rates displayed in the information windows for the two body moldings, Shimun smiled with satisfaction.

[Black Panther’s Physique] had increased from 12% to 24%.
[Ogre’s Physique] has increased from 15% to 30%.

Just as expected, it had doubled in strength.

Without this.

Even for someone of beyond-Silver rank, obliterating a drakan with one strike would have been impossible.

And it wasn’t just Kim Shimun who was surprised by the death of the drakan.

-? Did a drakan just get taken down in one hit?

-LOL cut down a drakan in one hit, has he gone nuts?

-How many at the upper gold level can one-shot a drakan…

-This is a Silver? This guy is definitely a cheat.

The chat window of Kim Shimun.

Debates about Kim Shimun were in full swing there.

-Talking nonsense about cheating.

-He used his force when he caught DonKing. It was not cheating.

-If it’s not cheating, then what is it? He didn’t even use his force just now.

-Really LOL. This guy doesn’t even have gear, just smashed it barefoot and one-shot it. Does that even make sense?

-Exactly. What does he think he is, an ogre? LOL.

Despite the previous viewers’ defenses that it wasn’t cheating,

the negative public opinion about Kim Shimun did not subside.

It wasn’t incomprehensible.

After all, he had smashed the drakan’s head in one blow, with nothing but his bare body, without any aura or equipment.

One person noted,

-If you look closely, he kept flicking his finger during the fight. Must be related to some special trait.

-Right, definitely a trait. Seems like most here are normals given no mention of the trait.

-LOL for real. Must be at least an SS-class trait?

-The fanboys are at it again. Even the famous rankers used their force in their low ranks, this person is just exceptional.

As each current player added their comments, the mood in the chat window flipped once again.

Of course, Kim Shimun didn’t see this chat window.

Although he noticed the chat notifications twinkling at the edge of his field of view.

[The Constellation Heavenly Demon smiles faintly.]

[The Constellation Zeus nods in satisfaction.]

[The Constellation Black Goat laughs uproariously.]

Kim Shimun was more caught by the Constellations’ reactions.

[Three Constellations whisper to each other.]

[The three Constellations collectively donate 1,000 achievement points to you.]

An unexpected donation window popped up in front of Kim Shimun.

‘Oh!’

Upon confirming the donation, Kim Shimun’s eyes sparkled.

‘Just for catching one drakan, to donate a whole 1,000 points.’

He had already guessed from the Constellations’ reactions that they disliked the drakan,

but he hadn’t imagined they’d donate as much as 1,000 points.

‘No, it’s not just about the drakan.’

To the likes of Constellations, the lowest-ranked drakan wouldn’t be worth their concern.

‘It seems they dislike the dragon race itself?’

Why?

Though he had something of a guess.

‘The Dragon Emperor. They must have had friction with them.’

The Dragon Emperor.

Beings that first revealed themselves on Earth with a massive outbreak in what was once Germany, in a past life.

The entity, before whom even the mighty dragons bowed, razed half of Europe in a day, leaving an indelible mark on the memories of people worldwide.

A small smile played on Kim Shimun’s lips.

‘Whatever the reason, the Constellations disliking the dragon race is a boon for me.’

Dragons often appeared as bosses in the arena.

Considering the future, this relationship could lead to many more benefits like donations.

Kim Shimun nodded slightly into thin air to show his thanks, then moved on.

Before long,

Thump, thump.

He felt subtle vibrations, as if someone was drumming.

Kim Shimun immediately lowered his body and heightened his senses.

“Krruuk!”

“Krrok!”

The same strange scream as before was heard from a small left passage.

‘It’s a drakan.’

Kim Shimun crouched even lower.

While the drakan itself wasn’t much of an issue,

‘Movements must be considered, lest the situation becomes unnecessarily complicated.’

Especially if there were dozens of them, or if a hidden arena condition could complicate matters.

Kim Shimun decided to move as cautiously and carefully as possible.

“Aaah!”

“A scream?”

Before someone’s scream was heard.

Snap.

Shimun’s fingers flickered.

The Alchemy Energy that flowed from the center of his chest instantly became [Black Panther’s Physique], accelerating Shimun’s lower body.

Thud-thud!

Shimun quickly dashed towards the corridor from which the scream emanated.

It wasn’t even a few seconds before,

“Kuruk! This is the end.”

“Kuruk! How fun!”

Three drakans filling the corridor came into view.

One of them was holding a bloodstained double-edged axe aloft.

There was no need to think.

Given the abundant blood around, the target of the axe must have been the one who just screamed.

“Hmm.”

Shimun’s expression slightly soured.

Although it possessed 24% completeness of [Black Panther’s Physique].

Reaching that spot before the drakan’s axe fell was impossible.

‘In that case….’

Snap.

His finger flicked once more.

In response,

The neatly polished floor surged up, infused with the characteristic spark of Alchemy Energy.

Whoosh.

It pierced through the chest of the drakan who had raised its axe.

“Ku, Kuruk?!”

“What the!”

The two drakans giggling beside were taken aback.

Then,

Crunch.

The head of the drakan on the right was crushed with a chilling sound, like a discarded can.

A stone pillar formed from the ceiling had smashed down on its head.

“You, human!”

The remaining drakan finally realized the situation and hurriedly swung its axe.

As expected of a being with strength surpassing an orc, the large double-bladed axe flew in swiftly.

Thunk.

“Kuruk?!”

The double-bladed axe, blocked as if by a rock, didn’t move an inch.

Well, it did move.

“This, this is…”

To be precise, it was trembling.

Blocked by a frail arm, not even one-third the size of its own.

“Is this the power of a drakan? Feels a bit shaky.”

The human gripping the axe handle smiled leisurely and then,

Snap.

Flicked his other finger.

Then,

Crack.

“Aaargh!”

Immense pain constricted the drakan’s arm.

Turning its gaze,

The axe handle, now resembling a snake, was constricting the drakan’s thick forearm.

Above it, the axe blade, poised like a venomously fanged snake’s head.

“Farewell.”

Snap.

That was the last scene the drakan saw.

[You have successfully performed a continuous high-difficulty multi-alchemization.]

[Your Alchemy Energy has increased by 1.]

Shimun, spotting the welcoming message window, looked down at the drakan with its head split open.

‘So much for the special arena, seems like there’s no nerfing the monster’s stats like with the last hobgoblin.’

Even though it was the lowest grade of dragonkin.

To think it would arm-wrestle against doubly strengthened human fluidization.

Moreover, having invested all of the remaining stats, 5 in total, from the last level-up into Alchemy Energy.

“Truly, dragonkin is dragonkin.”

Though Shimun didn’t use the full extent of his power, not having deployed the Heavenly Demon Divine Arts,

The strength of the drakan was indeed commendable.

However, Shimun wasn’t the only one impressed.

-Wow… Insane! Is this real?

-Wasn’t this person from the combat division? Or is it magic. “I see he’s flicking his fingers again. Could that be a trait?”

“Didn’t you see the ground and weapons change? Which trait allows that?”

“Definitely magic.”

The chat was ablaze.

It wasn’t without reason.

Since the fight with DonKing, Kim Shimun had fought using only his physical strength.

Notably,

“The changes in terrain and weapons earlier had nothing to do with magic.”

“Agreed. I’m a Gold-ranked magician, and even I find it odd to categorize it as magic.”

“For real. But without casting or incantations, it’s hard to call it magic.”

“It’s probably more like spirit magic, which doesn’t require casting.”

The players’ chat filled rapidly as they continued to debate.

“What’s this? The chat’s on fire.”

Kim Shimun, now having a moment to peruse the chat, scanned it quickly.

-“Well, these are valid questions…”

-“Bunch of armchair analysts blowing hot air.”

-“What do you all know?”

-“So, it’s not magic, LOL. It’s hilarious.”

The chat grew more heated, filled with expletives.

Kim Shimun felt the need to somewhat manage the raging chat.

“But managing… No, this needs a direct approach from me.”

Recalling the three constellations, Kim Shimun shook his head and stated,

“Everyone. I’m not of the combat class but the magic class.”

-“Really?”

-“Told you, it’s spirit magic.”

-“It’s not spirit magic.”

-“What then? You cast magic without casting.”

-“What’s your trait?”

-“Are you using some sort of bug?”

The situation only seemed to worsen as the chat became even more aggressive.

It didn’t last long.

-“Why are you all jumping conclusions? The finger flicking could be related to a casting trait, right?”

-“Unbelievable. Do you guys reveal your traits that easily?”

-“Wonder how many here are actually Awakened.”

-“Bugs, LOL. Looks like someone hasn’t Awakened for real.”

-“As much as I can tolerate, but the bug parrots are just disgusting. Go jump in the Han.”

Among Awakened players, demanding information from those not in your friend circle or guild was considered rude.

Knowing this, the players became irate.

After all, in a world where players ruled, their voices weighed heavier in the chat.

-“Not it? Why so sensitive?”

-“Can’t even ask questions now, damn. Talk about discrimination.”

-“The superiority complex of the Awakened, LOL.”

Those unawakened had no choice but to back down. They lacked the expertise and the real experience of players, after all.

[GoldPlayer has donated 500 AP.]

-“Let’s all respect chat manners. Asking for personal info is rude, regardless of being Awakened or not.”

Following the donation, the fiery chat cooled down instantly.

Kim Shimun ensured the mood didn’t turn awkward.

“Let’s calm down, everyone. I can’t reveal my trait, but I can confirm I’m from the magic class.”

-“Answering this? That’s sweet.”

-“Didn’t have to answer, but thanks for addressing our curiosity!”

-“Thanks.”

“Ha ha! No problem. It’s understandable to be curious.”

He ended the discussion with a light laugh.

[PossibleGuy has donated 100 AP.]

-“Magic class! I knew it was possible, bro!”

Kim Shimun chose not to respond to the last donation.

“Let’s continue.”

Relieved, Kim Shimun approached the survivors being attacked by drakans.

Had the drakans begun their assault before he arrived?

The area was strewn with unrecognizable remains.

And among them,

“Ugh…”

‘This person!’

Kim Shimun’s eyes widened at the sight of the groaning survivor.
