chapter 141 - Let's go to the End
I'm not someone who drinks a lot, but I do enjoy drinking with others while watching videos.
However, I don't really like going out of my way to find people and meet them just to drink.
I enjoy it when I'm with people and we happen to drink together.
Chiiik-
"This beer is really good."
"I brought a few because I like it too."
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: This beer is really good LOL]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: I also brought some to drink]
[How good can it be?]
[It’s not that amazing, but it’s drinkable?]
[Hyunmin here: That beer’s actually kind of expensive, only people with money can drink it]
[How much could it possibly cost LOL]
[How expensive could beer be?]
I kept watching the stream while drinking the beer.
Honestly, I’d like for Rize’s team to win, but I wouldn't be too upset if they lost.
All I could do was cheer from the comfort of my room.
‘I would like Rize to win if she does well, but…’
But can things really go as smoothly as they do in movies?
Winning depends on how well you play.
So all I could do was watch the tournament.
I occasionally offered commentary as well.
“Here… if Rize plays well here, I think they can win.”
I had seen Rize play in London, and I’d also watched her in the finals, but she didn’t seem to have any real weaknesses.
She handled all the champions well and played with great control.
If there was an issue, it was with the performance of her teammates.
‘Her teammates are a bit lacking.’
Her teammates weren't as skilled as Rize.
Still, they were really good compared to others.
It was just that they didn’t reach Rize’s level.
But, of course, I couldn’t say that on stream.
It’d sound like unnecessary criticism.
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: How do we win this?]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: They seemed ahead in the beginning, right? LOL]
[Yeah, they were ahead at first, but now they’re losing?]
[It feels like the overall strength difference is showing]
[How do we win this?]
[It seems like we lost, let’s just drink beer LOL]
[Let’s drink some beer]
Anyway, the game had turned unfavorable.
Rize’s team didn’t seem to be playing badly at all.
But somehow, a global gold gap had appeared.
“Hmmm…”
I wasn’t sure how they were going to win this.
"Here, try this. It's the side dish I made earlier, it’s good."
"Oh. I like this kind of stuff."
Harin handed me some stir-fried sausages.
I immediately tasted the sweet flavor.
"Oh… why are you so good at cooking? This is really delicious."
"It’s nothing, I’m the one who made it. After the broadcast, come over sometimes. I'll cook for you."
"I’ll come by when I have time. You really know how to cook."
Harin’s cooking skills were pretty amazing.
Even regular food tasted so good that I wanted to eat it again.
I was really impressed, and while I was thinking that, the game’s broadcast continued.
Aah!!! Rize’s insane crack play!!!! This gives KG the upper hand!!!!
Rize used Aatrox’s skills to the extreme and gained the upper hand.
I couldn’t believe what I had just seen with my own eyes.
Was this real?
“...Wow, what’s Rize doing?”
“Rize is on fire today, huh? She’s been playing well since the first round.”
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Wow, damn, she’s really good]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: All hail Rize]
[Rize is a god, Rize is a god, Rize is a god, Rize is a god]
[At this point, she really is a god LOL]
[She’s so freaking good LOL]
[Hyunmin here: How is she playing like this in the finals? It's insane LOL]
[She just turned the game around on her own]
Rize’s amazing play.
I couldn’t help but think it was incredible.
I might be able to make plays like that in solo rank, but right now, Rize was playing in the finals.
With such an unstable mindset, it would be nearly impossible to attempt such a play.
"By the way, Rize made the game way more exciting."
Thanks to Rize’s play, the game had become much more fun.
It went from being a straightforward 3-0 to something much more interesting.
“Games like this are fun. Watching Rize play with such intensity is the most fun thing ever.”
“True.”
I agreed with Harin’s words.
It really was fun watching Rize play with such intensity.
I was also curious about what kind of plays she would make.
“By the way, if we’re going to do this, I hope it goes to the 5th set. It’d be more exciting that way.”
“Well, if it doesn’t go to the 5th set, KG is definitely going to lose.”
“Oh, right.”
I had forgotten about who would win for a moment, since I wasn’t really concerned about the outcome.
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Please, KG for the win]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Let’s go]
[KG for the win, let’s go, KG for the win, let’s go]
[Why is everyone supporting KG?]
[KG is a Korean team, so if you’re Korean, you should cheer for them, right?]
[I do want to see the Western team’s skins, though]
[Hyunmin here: I don’t care about anything else, I just want to see a really fun game to the 5th set]
As I continued broadcasting, hoping KG, with Rize, would win—
Rize with the quadra kill!!!! She completely turns the situation around!!! GG~
KG won the third set.
That made the total score 2-1.
For Rize’s team to win, they had to win two more sets.
It was a pretty interesting situation.
Honestly, after watching the first two sets, I thought it’d be a straightforward loss, but here we were.
"Wow… this is nerve-wracking. My hands are sweaty."
Harin, who seemed completely relaxed, was now sweating.
"What? You didn’t seem nervous."
“Well, it’s different when you know the person. It’s a bit nerve-wracking.”
"True."
I wondered how much sweat she had, so I unconsciously grabbed Harin’s hand.
I was curious about how sweaty her hands were.
“Oh, you’re really sweating a lot.”
She was sweating way more than I expected.
Her hands felt damp.
"Isn’t this like hyperhidrosis?"
It was too much sweat to just blame on nerves.
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Harin has hyperhidrosis LOL]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: I’ve seen her sweat a lot when she’s nervous before]
[But I’ve never seen her sweat like this because she’s nervous]
[She didn’t do this during KG’s last finals, LOL]
[This much sweat is something else]
[Hyunmin here: If it’s Worlds finals, this much sweat is acceptable LOL]
[Hail Harin]
[Maybe it’s because she’s nervous for another reason]
“Hold on.”
I grabbed some tissues and wiped Harin’s hands.
I figured it’d be uncomfortable for her to touch the keyboard with sweaty hands.
After wiping her hands, I continued the broadcast of the fourth set.
“The fourth set is a bit tricky… In the third set, Rize carried the game on her own.”
“Hmm… that’s true, but from what I’ve seen of Rize’s form, I think she can win the fourth set. If I had to bet, I’d put my money on KG.”
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Really?]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Damn]
[So you’re just trusting ‘Rize’ and betting on KG? Damn]
[But today her form is insane, so they might actually win LOL]
[Hyunmin here: But she can’t win this alone, the other team members need to perform too]
[The top lane has been strong, so they could win]
[But we’ll only know once they start]
[Let’s see, let’s see]
We had a conversation and cracked open another beer.
I had already finished the first one I opened earlier.
“If you keep drinking beer, you’ll get drunk. Are you sure you’re okay?”
Harin gave me a worried look.
She was probably concerned that I’d mess up the broadcast if I got drunk.
“Hey, I’ve drunk a lot before. I know exactly how much I can drink without getting wasted.”
“...That’s true.”
I wasn’t an amateur.
I wasn’t so inexperienced that I’d mess up a broadcast because I couldn’t control how much I drank.
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: Shouldn’t we make Damam drink more?]
[🗡️ Almighty Cthulhu: It’d be fun to see him drunk LOL]
[Cthulhu, this guy’s being shady LOL]
[Hyunmin here: Honestly, the drunk version is more fun LOL]
[Give him more beer, Harin LOL]
[Let’s win the 4th set, then go to the 5th!]
[Since we’re at it, let’s give him more alcohol LOL]
[Let’s go]
[This game is gonna be crazy LOL]
And so, we began the fourth set broadcast in earnest.
Hoping that KG, with Rize, would win.
