Full-Level Fierce Person

Chapter 17: 17 Malicious

The old village chief suddenly turned his head and glared at someone, bellowing, "Zhang Ertie, get out here."

In the crowd, there was a dark-skinned middle-aged man, who was indeed the second elder of the Zhang Family.

At this moment, Zhang Ertie was terrified, his face pale with fright, and he instinctively tried to back away.

But the crowd automatically distanced themselves from him, quickly clearing a circle around him.

Zhao Dahu said nothing, charged over, grabbed him by the hair, dragged him out of the crowd, threw him to the ground, and stepped on his face.

The Zhao Family members, looking ferocious like evil spirits, surrounded him and started mercilessly beating Zhang Ertie with punches and kicks.

"Ohhhh~"

Zhang Ertie curled up on the ground, covering his head, and let out screams like a pig being slaughtered, quickly bleeding from his head.

"Old village chief, spare my life!"

Zhang Ertie's wife rushed out, knelt on the ground, and pleaded, "It's all my fault. Your hen ran into our yard, and Ertie caught it and was about to return it, but I was starving, caught a fever from the rain, and Ertie wanted to nourish me, so we ate the chicken."

No sooner had she finished speaking than Old Lady Zhao came over, raised her hand and slapped Zhang Ertie's wife across the face, knocking her to the ground, where she fell into the mud.

Old Lady Zhao, unable to contain her anger, exclaimed, "Wretch, you dared to eat my hen, who gave you the courage?"

Immediately, the daughters-in-law of the Zhao Family came over, held down Zhang Ertie's wife, pinched her hard, stabbed her with needles, causing her to scream in agony.

At this sight, all the villagers were silent as if frozen.

At that moment, Zhang Datie stood up, knelt down in front of the old village chief, and kowtowed, "Old village chief, my brother made a mistake, and we admit our guilt and punishment, we'll compensate for your chicken."

"Compensate?"

The old village chief snorted coldly, "That hen was able to lay eggs, can you afford to compensate?"

Zhang Datie, with a tearful voice, said, "There is still some grain at home."

That was the grain he got from selling his daughter.

The old village chief glanced at his son.

Zhao Dahu, catching on, grabbed Zhang Datie and pushed him to fetch the grain.

Zhang Ertie and his wife continued to be beaten.

Not until Zhao Dahu returned with a half bag of grain did the Zhao Family members stop the beating.

Everyone looked, and Zhang Ertie was badly battered, his limbs severely bent, likely having sustained broken bones, a pitiful sight to see.

His wife was also in a deplorable state, all over her were needle marks, bloody and mangled.

Zhang Datie and his wife quickly picked them up and carried them home.

The old village chief watched the villagers, his face grim as he said, "You all saw, this is what happens when you commit misdeeds and try to deceive me! I also had a rooster stolen, whoever did it, step forward, otherwise, Zhang Ertie will serve as a warning to you!"

The villagers shivered and none responded.

The old village chief frowned, turned his head and asked Zhao Dahu, "Did you search everywhere?"

Zhao Dahu nodded, "We searched house by house, only found chicken feathers at Zhang Ertie's place."

The old village chief's eyes flickered for a moment, then he smirked, "Go, smell their breath, anyone who has eaten meat will definitely have a different smell in their mouth."

"Exactly!"

Zhao Dahu snickered coldly, walked over, and had each villager open their mouth and breathe out for him to sniff their breath.

Xigou squatted on the ground, unable to resist looking up at Fang Zhixing.

Soon, Zhao Dahu walked up to Fang Zhixing.

"Big Ox!"

Zhao Dahu looked at Fang Zhixing intently, a look of disgust flashing across his face, and coldly said, "Open your mouth."

Fang Zhixing, very cooperative, opened his mouth and breathed out.

Zhao Dahu sniffed and suddenly reeled back, pinching his nose and shouting, "Why does it smell so bad, what the hell did you eat?"

"That's not stink, it's the smell of herbs."

Fang Zhixing argued, "I've been sick, just picked some random herbs in the mountains and boiled them to drink."

Zhao Dahu, disbelieving, touched Fang Zhixing's forehead and immediately felt the heat.

He quickly pushed him away, berating, "Get away, don't you dare infect me."

Fang Zhixing went home by himself.

Once home, Xigou excitedly said, "Good thing you had the foresight to eat some Chinese toon to mask the smell."

But Fang Zhixing's expression was very serious, gritting his teeth, "Avoiding the fifteenth day doesn't mean escaping the first."

The night passed quickly.

Early the next morning, the village suddenly filled with cries of grief.

Zhang Ertie had not made it through the night, he died!

His daughter-in-law also fell into a deep coma, and she might not survive either.

Today it hadn't rained, and the sky was a bit overcast, but it might clear up.

Early in the morning, Fang Zhixing and Xigou, despite their illnesses, left their home.

Instead of getting better, their sickness seemed to be worsening.

Fang Zhixing was holding up temporarily, but Xigou was declining rapidly, even his walk was unsteady.

They gritted their teeth and persevered, leaving the village as usual to go hunting in the deep mountains.

"Daniu!"

Suddenly, someone called out to him from behind.

Fang Zhixing turned his head and his pupils contracted, seeing Zhao Dahu and a group of people quickly following them.

"Uncle Zhao, good morning!" Fang Zhixing forced a smile and nodded respectfully.

Zhao Dahu walked up, chuckling, "Daniu, going hunting?"

Fang Zhixing replied, "Just trying our luck."

Zhao Dahu hummed a response and laughed, "I wanted to discuss something with you, we're running out of arrows, how about you lend us some?"

Fang Zhixing's heart skipped a beat, then he quickly took off the Arrow Bag and handed it over, forcing a smile, "Uncle Zhao, you're too polite. What's this about lending? These arrows are useless in my hands, I'll give them all to you."

Zhao Dahu's eyebrows raised, pleased, "My boy, you're all heart! Here's the deal, if we kill anything today, you'll get a share."

Fang Zhixing replied quickly, "That would be great, thank you so much."

Zhao Dahu didn't waste further words, grabbed the Arrow Bag, and left, the group laughing and talking.

Fang Zhixing watched them go, his expression growing darker by the minute.

Xigou angrily said, "This is too much, they are outright robbing us! Damn it, they're not even pretending anymore!"

Fang Zhixing sent a message, "The old village chief's family is becoming more ruthless, they aim to cut off my means of survival."

Xigou asked, "What do we do now, without the bow and arrows, how can we hunt?"

Fang Zhixing felt his hunting knife and sighed, "We'll have to rely on this now."

A man and his dog walked deeper into the mountains, walking about seven or eight miles, when Xigou suddenly lay down on the ground.

"I can't go on, Fang Zhixing!"

Xigou moaned in pain, whining, "I see stars before my eyes, my head is buzzing, I can't hold on."

Fang Zhixing was at a loss for words and picked up Xigou, immediately feeling his burning body, rapid heartbeat, and labored breathing.

"This is bad!"

Fang Zhixing's face showed helplessness, his brow furrowed deeply.

Just then, he suddenly heard footsteps behind him.

Fang Zhixing quickly turned around and saw two men approaching, squinting slightly.

"Uncle San?"

He recognized these two people.

One in his fifties, and the other around thirty, they were the old village chief's third brother and his son, Zhao Dazhi.

Zhao San, with a big smile, asked, "Daniu, what are you up to here?"

Fang Zhixing, holding Xigou, stepped back, forcing a smile, "Just out hunting, what brings you guys here?"

Seeing this, Uncle San's smile turned icy, he sighed, "Daniu, I thought you were a fool, easy to kill, but you're cautious, always slipping through my fingers."

Fang Zhixing's heart turned cold, and he awkwardly laughed, "Uncle San, what are you talking about, I don't understand?"

"Better if you don't understand!"

Zhao San laughed self-reflectively, "When I was young, I experienced a famine worse than this, people were eating each other's children. Have you ever tasted human flesh?"

Fang Zhixing shuddered, slowly putting down Xigou.

Seeing this, Zhao Dazhi thought he was trying to escape and immediately drew his hunting knife, fiercely saying, "Don't move, I'll make it quick!"

Fang Zhixing then put down his basket.

Zhao San chuckled coldly, "Run if you want, but can you outrun us?"

Fang Zhixing took a deep breath and suddenly pulled out his hunting knife, stabbing it into the ground.

"Aw woo~~"
