"Issei, this is the first time you're calling me. This must have been something serious, what happened?" Artemis was confused about why Issei was calling her. She did tell him that she would be showing up soon.
"I was just missing you."
Artemis smiled warmly when hearing that. "Does my little hunter miss me? Don't worry, I'll be back with you in a couple hours. Right now, I have to guide my huntresses back to our original base and once that happens, I'll be back with you."
"You do know, I could get Sirzechs to build me a massive house where you and your huntresses would be able to live with me and my family."
"That would be great, but the main problem would be the fact that I'm not supposed to be in your territory and the second issue would be that my huntresses would be uncomfortable around... well, you and your father, mostly your father, because of my ideals that I placed on them. Just... give me a couple of months to prove to them why you're an exception to my golden rule."
Issei sighed in disappointment before responding, "Okay, I'll see you in a couple of hours."
Now, here is another issue. What was Issei going to do? His mother was cooking dinner, and his father was relaxing on the couch after checking up on him. He could play some video games... but he would just feel unproductive. Deciding that he would rather train to become more powerful, he decided to ask Ddraig. "Ddraig, do you have any areas around that I could use to train?"
"After you heal, the only real thing I could train you in is to have better control over the Boosted Gear. Not only that but seeing as though your magical abilities are near the level of a toddler, we can only implement the abilities into your fighting style as a defensive machine." Ddraig didn't personally like Issei as a defensive monster but would rather have him as an offensive behemoth.
"You don't like me being the type of person to tank attacks head on, do you?"
"To be honest... seeing your fighting style changing to being more lenient to tanking attacks and countering, it isn't representing domination as much as being someone who annihilates his opponents with a few attacks."
Issei could agree with that, but Issei was primarily doing this to take advantage of the system and how the level difference system works. Anyone that is on his level couldn't do any damage to him. He was basically invincible to anyone around his level, especially with his many other skills amplifying his defense. "Sometimes, its better to have more defense than offense. If your opponent can't hurt you, then you already won from the start."
"If your opponent has time, can't they think of things to defeat you in a different way if you can't defeat them fast enough?"
Sighing in agreement, Issei decided that he wouldn't dwell on his choice of switching over his builds That was when he got a quest.

Issei decided to rest up a bit before he would begin training with Ddraig. This was going to be something that he wasn't looking forward to. An ancient dragon that has high expectations for his host. He was about to go through hell with this training.
That was when he heard a knock and in came Artemis. Staring at Issei, who was still bandaged up and relaxing on the bed, she sighed in disappointment and walked towards Issei without uttering a word. "What? I thought you said you'll be showing up in a couple of hours?" Issei was not expecting her to show up this quickly. He was hoping that she would show up a little later to let himself heal and for him to remove the bandages and be all set for Artemis without causing her to worry.
"Don't." Gently placing her hands on Issei and pushing him down onto the bed, Issei could only watch as Artemis sat right next to him. "I wanted to keep this a surprise with me showing up this early. I was hoping to shock you, that I did, but I wasn't expecting to see you beaten and bruised up again."
"I- ", Issei was interrupted by Artemis placing her hands on his mouth.
"Save it. I'm not bad. I know I had to come to terms with this happening when we are going to be together, whether if you get targeted by my foes or get targeted by your own foes. I just needed a little time to adjust to this new life with you." Artemis continued caressing Issei's body while inspecting his wounds and their lethality. "It doesn't make me any less worried... But just don't do anything stupid. If you know you can't beat someone, escape."
Only if he could escape during regular dungeons. "Don't worry, If I see myself losing even after giving my all, I will escape." Artemis knew that Issei was just saying those words to make her calm down.
Sighing with the realization that her boyfriend would be a troublemaker for her, she couldn't help but chuckle. "I just can't stay mad at you. Come on, let's enjoy the night together. Seeing as though you can't really move much or at all for that matter, let's get cozy and let's watch a movie together."
"What if we play a game together?"
"Not a good idea. Having two competitive players in the same room playing a game where one shall fall and one shall rise isn't a good idea, especially with how I get with losing."
Issei hasn't seen Artemis angry at him at all, but he wouldn't want to see it. Nodding his head and deciding that maybe they should watch a movie, Issei began thinking of what they should watch.
"Want to watch that new horror movie with the weird animatronic bear in it?" Artemis suggested.
"Do you mean the Five Nights at Freddy's movie?"
"Yeah, whatever the hell the name is. You know what. I'm not taking a no. We're watching this movie." Grabbing the remote to Issei's TV in his room, Artemis found the movie and began playing it.
Simply deciding to enjoy the movie, Issei and Artemis got closer together and began enjoying the movie. This was going to be a very chill night.
