Chapter 22: Strong Competition!
A week has passed.
Early in the morning, Rizel looked at Irisviel beside him and couldn't help but laugh.
Ever since Ria and Scathach arrived, Irisviel had felt a great sense of danger.
From her perspective, it was obvious what Rizel's nature was. In her eyes, Ria and Scathach joining this bed was only a matter of time.
Although Ryougi Shiki and Touko had come before, that was in the past.
But now, this Ria and Scathach made Irisviel feel a strong sense of rivalry.
After all, the two of them were not only stunning in appearance but also carried incredibly impressive statuses.
Both were kings, possessing an allure that could ignite the desire to conquer.
As a result, these past few days, Irisviel seemed almost crazed, as if she wanted to completely exhaust Rizel.
However, Rizel's boundless stamina made him entirely unafraid, and in the end, it was Irisviel herself who collapsed.
Rizel couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Afterward, he silently connected to the system in his mind. Today was another day he could log in.
Rizel silently prayed, hoping for something good.
"System, log in."
[ Ding, login successful. Congratulations to the host for obtaining 10 tons of Kryptonite. ]
Rizel's gaze froze upon hearing this.
What kind of thing is 10 tons of Kryptonite?? What am I supposed to do with this stuff?
Rizel's face was full of confusion.
Kryptonite is the nemesis of Kryptonians. A tiny amount of Kryptonite can strip Superman of his superpowers, and even his steel-like body can be easily pierced under Kryptonite's influence.
In the DC universe, Batman always carried Kryptonite on him as a precaution against Superman.
This shows how Kryptonite is practically poison to Kryptonians.
Of course, there are exceptions, like some of Superman's descendants or variations—platinum, gold, and mental models are immune to Kryptonite's weakness. There's also Superman's father's friend, surprisingly immune as well.
As for Rizel himself, with the perfect ancient Doomsday-enhanced body, Kryptonite posed no threat to him. In fact, he could devour Kryptonite's energy to further evolve himself.
Thinking about this, a wave of heat surged in Rizel's heart—he could actually evolve even further.
10 tons—enough to take his strength to the next level.
However, thinking about it felt a bit strange. Damn it, eating rocks? This was definitely a first-time experience.
Although, with his strength, he wasn't worried about breaking his teeth, the thought of swallowing a pile of rock debris into his stomach—10 tons of it, no less—was unsettling.
Not wanting to disturb the sleeping beauties, Rizel cautiously left the room.
He was preparing to find a place to bring out the Kryptonite and "enjoy a satisfying meal."
At that moment, he ran into Scathach and Ria.
"Up so early, little Master? Last night, I heard the noise going on for five whole hours. Truly impressive," Scathach teased Rizel as she always did.
The two of them, being Servants, didn't need rest. For the past week, they had been able to hear the noise coming from Rizel's room every night.
Although both of them were queenly figures, they were ultimately inexperienced girls. Each time they heard the sounds from his room, their faces flushed bright red.
"Don't call me 'little.' A man shouldn't be called little. Besides, if you're curious, you're welcome to experience it yourself," Rizel replied, refusing to back down from Scathach's teasing.
"If you're going to call me something, it should be 'husband,'" Rizel said with a raised eyebrow.
"Master, are you so eager? Then let's have a duel, just the two of us," Scathach said with a smile.
"Looks like you're the one who can't wait. Single for so long," Rizel retorted irritably. Why was she so eager to challenge him here? If not for being so busy lately, Rizel would have long subdued Scathach.
In recent days, Rizel had been busy teaching Ryougi Shiki and the others the magical techniques of Rune scripts while simultaneously using Rune scripts to enhance the combat abilities of Einzbern's artificial humans.
After all, the entire Einzbern family now belonged to him, so it was only natural to bolster their combat capabilities to ensure his peace of mind.
Rizel even wanted to use his Doomsday genes, through alchemical techniques, to integrate them into the artificial combat humans, testing if it was possible to create miniature versions of Doomsday.
However, he failed, and the system's explanation was:
[ The master's genes are unique and cannot be replicated by any technology in the world. ]
Hearing this, Rizel understood. His genes were already incredibly terrifying.
If someone with advanced genetic engineering expertise got hold of them—someone as skilled as those in the world of Superman—he could imagine the consequences.
He thought back to how Superman's genes had once been taken by his nemesis Lex Luthor to create a clone—Superboy, a mix of Superman and Luthor's genes. Just the thought of that made Rizel's skin crawl.
What if someone used his genes to mass-produce a bunch of Rizel clones? Thinking about it made his scalp tingle.
I don't really have any special preferences. Mass-producing a bunch of versions of myself is basically the same as having clones.
This made Rizel recall one of the infamous tropes he'd read in online novels before—the green clone disaster.
Fortunately, his genes currently couldn't be replicated. That meant there was no fear of his genetic material being exploited by anyone with ill intentions.
"Ria, are you hungry? I'll go cook right now," Rizel said, ignoring Scathach, as he led Ria toward the kitchen.
"Good, I can't wait," Ria said with a smile. She was clearly eager to enjoy Rizel's cooking skills.
A few minutes later, Rizel had prepared a table full of dishes. Ria, living up to her reputation as having the appetite of a king, sat surrounded by empty plates. Even Scathach was shocked, wondering if the entire kingdom of England might have been eaten clean by her at some point.
After finishing her meal, Ria said, "Rizel's cooking isn't bad. I feel like I won't be able to eat anyone else's food anymore." She smiled in satisfaction.
"If that's the case, then stay. I'll cook for you every day," Rizel said smoothly, striking while the iron was hot.
Hearing this, a faint blush appeared on Ria's face, her expression slightly bashful.
It was clear she understood the deeper meaning behind Rizel's words.
Although shy, Ria still responded calmly, "What about Irisviel then?"
"Don't worry. You're all my wives," Rizel said with complete composure.
He then walked directly over to Ria and sat beside her. This sudden move startled her.
Rizel gazed at Ria with fiery eyes. "Could it be that Ria doesn't like me?"
"I..." Ria, under the intensity of Rizel's gaze, felt her heart flutter.
The words she had intended to refuse with wouldn't come out.
Scathach, observing this from the side, smirked to herself. Ah, men. Earlier, he was declaring he'd be my husband, and now he's confessing to another woman.
Rizel, knowing when to stop, said, "Alright, no need to answer now. I'll leave for now. I'll talk to the others about it later, and then I'll head out for a bit."
He gently patted Ria's head, taking the opportunity to stroke her ahoge.
I've wanted to do that for a long time, he thought. Then, laughing heartily, he flew off, leaving behind a flustered and indignant Ria and an amused, melon-eating Scathach.
To consume the 10 tons of Kryptonite without letting his household see him eating rocks—because no matter how you look at it, eating rocks screams insanity—Rizel decided to head to Crystal, a place closest to the sun. The proximity to sunlight should, theoretically, make absorption easier... probably.
Taking out the 10 tons of Kryptonite, Rizel stared at the glowing green rocks. A thought crossed his mind: Will eating this give me... stomach problems?
But for the sake of power, he steeled himself. No hesitation! Let's do this. Be awesome.
Rizel began eating.
As he bit into the Kryptonite, a crunchy "crack-crack-crack" sound echoed.
Strangely enough, it was crispy, though completely devoid of flavor.
Like a whirlwind, Rizel devoured every last piece of the Kryptonite.
Boom—
Rizel felt a surge of energy coursing through him, as if every cell in his body was cheering. The sensation was euphoric.
[ Ding! Evolution successful. New ability acquired: Energy Manipulation. ]
[ Ding! Evolution successful. New ability acquired: Teleportation. ]
[ Ding! … ]
Rizel gained an array of abilities, including several mental-based powers like telekinesis. He could feel his strength skyrocket to a whole new level.
