Chapter 21: Summoning Artoria and Scathach!
The formation lit up brilliantly, revealing two figures.
Rizel focused his gaze, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips. Success.
The women nearby also saw the two figures and were startled. Summoning two servants at once?
As the light faded, two elegant silhouettes became clear.
"Servant, Lancer, Scathach."
"Servant, Lancer, Artoria Pendragon."
Both spoke at the same time, then seemed to notice each other, turning their heads to meet each other's gaze. A moment of silent awkwardness ensued.
Rizel hadn't anticipated this. Summoning Scathach was understandable—after all, he had used her artifact. But why did Avalon summon Lancer Alter? What was going on? (Don't ask—just blame the author.)
Finally, Rizel broke the silence.
"Alright, let me explain what's happening here."
At that moment, both Artoria Alter and Scathach turned their attention to him—a man with messy black hair and eyes as deep and starry as the night sky. His appearance exuded an almost otherworldly charm.
Artoria Alter couldn't remain calm for a long time. Her previously composed mind, as steady as a pond, now rippled ever so slightly.
She silently thought, "This man seems even more striking than Sir Lancelot. No, he wasn't even a tenth as much."
"First, let me introduce myself. My name is Rizel, your Master," Rizel said with a gentle smile.
"My, my, what a breathtaking Master we have. Just looking at you makes my heart flutter a bit," Scathach teased with a hint of amusement.
At that moment, even Scathach felt a faint ripple in her heart as she gazed at him.
"My name is Scathach, Queen of the Land of Shadows. Little Master, I wonder how strong you are? If you can defeat me, I'll let you ask anything of me," Scathach said, a playful glint in her eyes and a slight smile on her lips.
Her long, violet hair and crimson eyes, paired with her black form-fitting battle attire—both alluring and exuding an air of deadly elegance—made her presence utterly mesmerizing.
Irisviel, watching from the side, felt a sense of alarm. 'This woman… she's dangerous.'
She was no longer the dreamy and naive "young girl" from before—she knew Rizel liked this kind of behavior.
Then her gaze turned to Artoria Alter, noticing the grandeur of her figure.
Irisviel quietly compared herself and couldn't help but feel dejected. 'No match at all.'
Sakura and Illya silently appraised Scathach and Artoria Alter's figures, their eyes betraying admiration.
"Ah, Scathach, I must warn you, I'm quite strong. Are you sure you want to fight me? Losing to me comes at a hefty price," Rizel couldn't help but chuckle. Truly Scathach, seeking out a challenger the moment she arrived.
"It doesn't matter, as long as Little Master can defeat me," Scathach replied with a playful blink of her eyes.
Artoria Alter was unwilling to be outdone. "I am Artoria Pendragon, the great King of Britain. Master, I look forward to learning from you."
Looking at her golden hair, blue eyes, and the crown resting atop her head, Rizel couldn't help but remark, 'Truly the pride of the Northern Hemisphere.'
"Then I'll address you as Ria. Is that alright?" Rizel smiled warmly at her.
"Of course. But Master, you truly are amazing, being able to summon two Servants at once. Moreover, I can sense that your mana seems boundless, as if it could sustain me releasing my Noble Phantasm continuously," Ria said, a bit astonished. She could feel the mana within Rizel—a vast, infinite ocean, pure and potent.
Scathach seemed to notice it as well, turning her gaze toward Rizel.
"Little Master, you seem to have something special. I'm growing more and more eager to fight you," Scathach said, licking her lips in anticipation.
"But Little Master, how exactly did you get hold of my Noble Phantasm?" Scathach's eyes shifted toward the weapon on the ground—Gae Bolg Alternative. It was identical to her own, clearly not a fake.
She was genuinely curious about how Rizel had acquired her Noble Phantasm.
However, there was no way Rizel would reveal that it was gifted by the system.
"Scathach, do you want to know? If you want to know, you'll have to beat me first," Rizel said with a cheeky grin that practically begged for a beating.
Hearing this, a vein popped on Scathach's forehead. After all, anyone who had dared to speak to her like this in the past was nearly beaten to death.
Without hesitation, Scathach swiftly picked up the Gae Bolg Alternative from the ground and immediately thrust it toward Rizel.
The crimson spear carved a vivid red arc through the air.
Just as Gae Bolg Alternative was about to reach Rizel, the spear froze mid-air—its tip pinched between Rizel's fingers.
"Not now, Scathach. Let's save the fight for another time," Rizel said with a smile.
Scathach flashed a radiant smile. "Fine. I hope I can enjoy myself thoroughly when the time comes."
Afterward, Rizel introduced the two Servants to everyone.
Irisviel and Ria quickly bonded like close friends, diving into conversation almost immediately.
Irisviel eagerly asked Ria for advice on how to achieve a figure like hers.
Ria, in turn, learned about Irisviel's circumstances from their conversation. She felt great sympathy for Irisviel's experiences and even complimented her for finding a good man.
Meanwhile, Rizel and Scathach were in the study.
Scathach watched as Rizel worked on modifying the restrictions placed on her as a Servant. Being a Lancer limited some of her abilities.
After all, as the Queen of the Land of Shadows, her expertise wasn't limited to combat—she was also proficient in ancient Rune magic.
However, the Lancer class restrictions hindered her from utilizing these skills fully.
So Rizel took it upon himself to adjust the program directly.
Scathach rested her chin on her hand, quietly observing Rizel as he worked.
*This little Master is truly interesting—he can even alter the Holy Grail system. Fascinating.*
A slight smile tugged at the corners of her lips. *Perhaps he really could defeat me. Should I fulfill his request if he manages it?*
"Little Master, why don't you become my disciple?" Scathach teased with a playful glint in her eyes.
"No thanks. I'd rather not be your disciple," Rizel replied without stopping his work.
"I don't want to end up like that Irish hero, getting bullied by you," he added, a smirk tugging at his lips.
"Oh my, Little Master, you even know about that adorable little pup? Is it the Celestial Eye of Insight?" Scathach asked, her curiosity about Rizel growing with each passing moment.
"No, no, it's not that. Don't overthink it," Rizel denied three times in quick succession.
"I'll be honest—I want you. I want to be your husband," Rizel said with a sly, playful grin.
Scathach wore an expression of "as expected," as she was well aware of her own appearance.
If this Master in front of her showed no interest, she might honestly begin to suspect something was wrong with him.
"Oh my, this is truly surprising, Little Master. Although I'm quite tempted to agree to you right now, you'll still need to defeat me first," Scathach said, leaning closer to Rizel, her breath warm against him.
"And if you win, there will be a reward," she added with a sly smile.
"You little vixen, be careful—I might not be able to hold back. I do have unlimited Command Seals, after all," Rizel warned, glaring at Scathach with mock ferocity.
Scathach was unfazed, provocatively curling her finger to beckon him. "Go ahead, try me."
Rizel's expression shifted before he finally calmed himself.
"I would never do something like that. I would never use such a method against a woman of mine," he said sincerely.
Hearing this, Scathach's eyes lit up with approval and, unexpectedly, a trace of relief.
Truthfully, she had been slightly worried that Rizel might use a Command Seal to force her into submission.
"Alright, you're making me more and more inclined to accept you as my disciple," Scathach said with a chuckle.
After a few more minutes, Rizel finally completed modifying the restrictions on Scathach's Servant class.
Scathach immediately felt her combat abilities significantly enhanced. She tested it by casting several Rune spells in quick succession.
Watching her, Rizel quickly picked up on the techniques, even though they were advanced Rune magic meant for self-enhancement.
However, with Rizel's already extraordinary physical condition, he didn't even need these kinds of enhancements.
Still, while he didn't require them, the women in his group could benefit greatly.
Thus, Rizel humbly asked Scathach to teach him Rune magic, and she was more than willing to do so.
But the more Scathach taught him, the more astonished she became. Rizel's learning ability was terrifying—he mastered everything after being taught only once.
For the first time, Scathach felt an inkling of doubt about the outcome of their inevitable duel.
She had a growing suspicion that when the time came, she might be the one to lose.
And if that happened, she would have to fulfill her promise—to become his wife. Scathach's gaze turned complicated as she looked at Rizel.
